[Tifa Lockhart]

No sooner had Mia cleared the doorframe then she saw Kai standing waiting for her.
"You stupid Bitch!" She yelled, racing across the room to throw herself into a firm embrace with Kai.
"You had me worried silly when you didn't come home last night!" She began fussing over her friend's hair and clothes before cupping her cheeks in her dark skinned hands.
"That bastard really crossed the line honey... why won't you let me do something about him? He can't keep doing this to you." She knew what had happened, the guy that came to get her had explained a little. It was a shock to the system to learn that Kai could no longer talk... but she would recover. She hugged Kai again, grumbling under her breath about the bastard.

Mia was mildly dark skinned, with long black hair with beads braided into the front of it. Her eyes were dark and powerful with an heir of command in them.
She wore camo print cargo pants and a sports crop top. Strange pinkish metal bands encased her wrists and upper arms and a tattoo of a wolf howling was imprinted on her upper arm. She had a very masculine appearance but she still flaunted all her feminine charms, including her chest, in which she was well endowed, along with muscles.

Leo walked past the two of them.
"Micheal has detention!" Simone shouted gleefully, letting go of Monica, taking Leo's hand and leading him to the couch. She sat Leo down and went to the video shelf to pick something out. She showed it to his, he chuckled and took it off of her to go and put into the video player, leaving the girls to reunite.

Once Kai had successfully calmed down Mia, she turned to look at Simone the tenderness that had touched her before returning to her.
Mia noticed the gaze and gave a sad smile.
"She's beautiful aint she? i love kids." She then looked around.
"Where'd that guy bugger off too? Aint he gonna introduce himself?" She planted her hands on her hips in a mock displeased fashion.

"Right here" Leo came back into the room, grabbed the remote off of the table and flopped down onto the sofa; a large plasma tele infront of him. He pressed play. Some cartoon came on. Leo glared at Simone "Not this again"
She just grinned at him. He shook his head, too tired to argue. He turned his head to the girls, "I'm Leo by the way. Nice to meet you both... Mr Chen should be back soon... Have you been shown where you'll be sleeping?"

Kai nodded, and gestured down the hall to one of the spare rooms where the students normally stayed. She assumed that Mia would be sharing with her. They were used to sleeping in the same bed, it saved on money if they shared, it also made Kai a lot more comfortable.
It may sound immature, but Kai could rarely sleep if Mia was not there to sing her to sleep.
Odd huh?

Mia peered boredly over Leo's shoulder and recognized the cartoon Simone was watching.
"ha, i used to love this." She soon found herself mezmerised by it.

Leo layed back. "Then you'll be perfect for the job of watching it with her" he turned so that his feet were over the armrest, his arms behind his head. He closed his eyes, though it was easy to see that he was still fully alert.
"You are as silly as Daddy, Leo" Simone sat on top of his stomach and leant back into the cushions. Black cushions. heh.

Mia took herself a spot on the couch to join them in watching it, she never seemed to have trouble fitting in anywhere.
Kai however, hung as far away from Simone as she could, taking a seat on the floor in the far corner of the hall. Replaying the horrific scene from the night before over and over in her head... mostly to block out memories from before that.

Simone noticed and hopped off of Leo to go sit next to Kai. She gave her a quick hug before whispering, "Micheal's teacher told him to empty his pockets, expecting a phone, and he wouldn't do it... Cause he keeps his dagger in his pocket" she chuckled. "Now he has detention all week!"

Kai looked up abruptly and noticed Simone had come to sit next to her, she hid a tiny flinch and smiled, her eyes laughing at the thought of that boy from this morning having a detention over not emptying his pockets. it must have sucked pretty bad, being caught in a situation like that. Kai never carried a weapon, though she probably should have.

Simone gleamed with a new idea, "Are you and your friend staying Kai?" she asked, excited by the very idea, "That would be so cool!" Her smile was huge, leaning up towards Kai.
"Let Miss Kai breath, Simone" Leo chuckled quietly, guessing Simone's actions, and still feinting sleep.
SImone sat back down, but she was still bouncing slowely.

Mia looked over the top of the couch towards Kai and Simone and smiled softly.
"I think we're staying a little while Simone. Just till Kai's back on her feet again." She smiled, though she, like Kai, felt they were imposing on this family's hospitality.

Leo didn't say anything. Simone just shrugged, obviously concluding that she would find some way for them to stay.
That was when John walked through the door. He stopped when he saw what was on the television, and saw Leo's stance. "Really Simone. I don't think that you need to watch this anymore. Leo could quote every line perfectly" he smiled, teasing. Simone poked out her tongue and turned back to the tele.
Leo, upon hearing John, flung himself up from the couch. He walked around it and gave John a chinese salute, down on one knee, his arm curled so that his fingers were pressed to his forhead and his eyes to the ground. John nodded to him and turned to Kai and Mia. He addressed Mai, "Hello miss. My name is John Chen. It's a pleasure to meet you" he took his sword and hilt from his side and clipped it back onto the wall.
Leo stood up and went to sit back on the couch.

Mia looked this new man over in a curious way before she stood and again looked him over.
"So you're the one who found Kai then?" She asked, not meaning to be so abrupt.
"And we're most grateful for your hospitality Sir."

Kai shrunk back a little as he first walked in, but soon stood to stand beside Mia, hoping to second the thanks that Mia was giving.

John kept the smile on his face, "You are most welcome. But please, don't feel as if you are imposing. Many people come here... regularly" he shrugged, an uncommon gesture from him. He shrugged out of his coat and put it onto a hook by the door. "I apologise if you feel confined but if you wish to go out then please tell either Leo or Myself and we can take you and bring you back"

"I'm sure we'll managed Mr. Chen." Mia said with a smile, punching Kai ever so lightly on one shoulder.

Kai gave a nervous smile in her friends direction, avoiding eye contact with John.
