[Sparkles]

"She will be. She is with The Dark Lord.. A vampire is no match; even at the state he is in now" she smiled encouragingly.

Gold put a hand on Kai's shoulder and gave it a light squeeze before turning and leaving; back into the farmhouse. Taps and scrapes could be heard from the doorway, where a small jade dragon now stood with her head held high, her tail swishing slowly back and forth across the wooden boards. She looked at Kai, but spoke to Xuan. "Where to? Where have they taken Simone?"

Kai remained silent, her eyes following Gold as he disappeared back inside, then flicking over to Xuan with a concerned glimmer.

Mai then shrugged.
"Alright then. i trust you all enough." She gave a childish sort of grin at this, as a similar being from different countries, she had no reason to suspect Kai wouldn't be looked after by Xuan and the others. "So what're we doin'?"

Jade left Mai as soon as consent was given. She swapped places with Gold, who walked around the corner and held his hand out to Mai, "Shall we? Hold on tight" he winked.

"We don't know of the vampire.. except he has taken her to the skies. I believe Demons are involved. I can feel it" this last bit only spoken with his mind to Jade alone. "Kai" he turned to look at her, "Get on Jade's back"
This must have surprised the dragon, as she snorted indignantly. One look from Xuan and she instantly mellowed, knowing the seriousness of the situation.

Mai blinked in confusion but held her hand out to take Gold's anyway. She trusted these people, and they'd have a hard time bumping her off anyhow, seeing as she was technically their counterpart from another country anyhow.

Kai was a little hesitant, worried that the dragon did not approve being her ride for the evening, but eventually she climbed gently onto the mighty creatures back.
"I hope i'm not too heavy..." She murmured awkwardly.

Gold told her to close her eyes, then closed his own. "This is uncomfortable.. but bare with me..." he told her before the world around them became tighter, hugging their skin like rocks pressed in firmly, but not painfully - as if they'd been coated in metallic paint then left to dry. Then, a flare of warmth coursed though them before arriving at their destination. Gold let go of Mai and surveyed his surroundings. "This is the Phoenix's palace. She is taking care of Jade's eggs while Jade assists us. Come, we need to find someone. He's overly large, and blue. You'll know when you see him" Gold said confidently, walking towards the entrance at a hurried pace.

Again, Jade huffed; though this time because she felt a little insulted that Kai thought she couldn't cope with her weight. She pushed back on her hind legs and sprang into the air. Xuan looked at her unimpressed. "Stay with me Jade. If you lag behind, tell me. She is very important to my cause" Xuan told the dragon before disappearing. In fact, he had just started running. Jade flew up into the sky and followed The Dark Lord from above.

Kai had never been comfortable with flying, even less so when she wasn't encased all around like she would be in a plane. She gritted her jaw hard and fought the urge to close her eyes as Jade took flight. She began to count random things in her head in order to relax her nerves a little.

Mai whistled in admiration once the strange feelings around her had ebbed.
"Wow.. swish." She said, before falling in step just behind Gold.

The Phoenix's Palace was made of gold and brimstone mostly. It towered above them as they came closer. "We need to split up Mai. When you see him, tell him The Dark Lord's daughter has gone missing. He'll know what to do from there if he decides to help" Gold ran forward into one of the massive corridors to the right.

(big and blue, right? she can find him. He'll be wrapped around a pier in the middle of the palace. IF they'd looked up at the beginning, they would have seen him. btw, if she transforms here, she will need no energy. use none. it much more spiritual. Use your imagination XD)


Xuan stopped at a town's house and without a second's thought he ripped the door open. 'Stay up there. DO not let her come down' he told them as demons, looking at first like human adults and children, began to poor out of the building - they were ready for him, but no match. He stood still for a moment as a golf ball sized ball of golden chi rose above him. The demon's advanced, trying to capture him. At that moment the chi shone brighter and broke with force, sending smaller bits in every direction at the demons. As soon as it touched them, they exploded, leaving black goo on the ground and some on Xuan.
Jade looked on, studying her Lord's movements as he began to fight.
The demons, obviously realizing he would not be an easy fight, transformed into their True Forms - beast of all kinds - horrid and dripping in 'petrol' goo.
Xuan's fist went through their skulls without hesitation, his flat hands slicing their bodies in two, kicking their stomachs (or the area where a stomach should have been if they were actual animals) out. Throughout this it would seem to the human eye as if Xuan barely moved - the demons being slaughtered around him until little were left, and they fled.

Xuan looked up, 'Come he looked back towards the door and began walking in.
Jade landed and folded up her wings. "Stay where you are little human" she told Kai impatiently [Just guessing she would have tried getting down?]. Xuan's eyes turned white as they walked down a flight of stairs into the darkness. Jade lowered her head in apology and did not say anything more.

"Alright... so i'm looking for big and blue huh?" Mai mused as she looked around before morphing into her wolf form and padding off to investigate, her nose revelling in the myriad of unfamiliar smells. She'd not been going long when a sound caught her notice and she looked skyward for the source. That's when she noticed it, the big blue being she was looking for.
He was wound around the center tower of the castle, way above her head. She felt the liquid-like shimmer of her body as she changed into a great golden eagle and took flight, circling up towards the head of the creature.
When she reached it, she parted her beak and spoke, "Excuse me?" She queried respectfully.

Kai had been about to climb off of Jade when she was instructed to stay put, so rife with confusion and a small measure of fear she stayed where she was, eyes searching after Xuan with concern into the gloom. She was not worried for him really, she knew he could look after himself, but she was worried about what would happen if something happened to Simone.

He looked at the pesky creature besides him and nodded, "what would you like, shamen?" he extended a claw out for her to land upon; he may be rude in his mind but he was very much the gentlemanly creature regardless.

There was a door at the end of the passage way that Xuan stood at with one hand pressed against the stripped white paint. "Give her to me" he said in an ice sharp tone before impatiently swatting the door out of his way and walking inside to come faced with their vampire and a bunch of demon in human form, with their hands on his body, quite obviously manipulating torture into him. "Where is she?" Xuan's eyes narrowed angrily.

"Uh..." Mai began awkwardly, slightly put off by the creatures sheer size, but eventually she found her words and with a blink of a great golden eye she began to speak with the eloquence her stature it her society had granted her with.
"The Dark Lord's daughter has gone missing. I was sent to find you."

[Sparkles]

The dragon frowned, "I did tell him having a human attachment like Michelle would lead him down" he took a few more steps up the pier, "Who did accompany you?" his eyes turned white, then back to their dark hue. "Gold will meet us" he snatched at the air, grabbing the small bird in his jaws.

Opening them again he let the shamen out onto the forest floor. "Please transform into a form able to either keep up with my flight or hold onto my back or i will carry you" he moved his talons in the dirt suggestively, though not threateningly.

Mai shrieked as the dragon grabbed her and for a brief moment in time thought he'd eaten her. She was chuntering about impolite gods when light filtered back into her keen eyes. She frowned and huffed, shuffling her wings before she began to transform. This bird was smaller, lighter, but lightning quick.
"Warnings are courteous."

[Sparkles]

"Hmm" the dragon replied, not listening that intently. "Where is Xuan?" he lowered his head to the little bird as Gold emerged from the surrounding forest, bowing to the dragon, to which he chuckled and nodded his great head in response.

"She is safe for now... Why did you bring her?" the vampire looked behind Xuan at the dragon and at the blind human on it's back.
"Give her back to me now" Xuan growled, making it seem like the whole room was revibrating. The demons hissed and transformed into their demon shaped. Swirling black shapes on grotesque monstrosities, lunging for him, to which Jade shoved Kai off of her back and stepped forward to engulf them in flame. Xuan stepped forward, keeping his eyes on the vampire as Jade defended him. "Where-" his eyes shrouded in white and he turned to Kai, forgetting to soften his expression, "She's behind him. I can't see clearly down here to get her. I'll handle him, and you find her"
