He brushed his hand softly over the air above her face. A darkness srouded around her and lifted her inches above the ground. It took her over the water. Xuan stood up and walked into the water beside her.

Kai remained oblivious to all that was happening as she loyally kept her eyes shut, even though the strange sleepiness pretty much inhibited from opening her eyes anyway.

He lifted his finger out of the water and placed a single droplet of the warmed water on each of her eyelids, and her lips. The ater dripped down and ito her mouth. He then, just as softly, told the darkness to let her go. It did so and let her drift back into his waiting arms. He walked out of the water up to his calves before turning around and sitting down with her in his lap; facing the water. He lightly wiped the water off of her face. "You can open our eyes again now? And please tell me what you see?"
She wouldn't be able to see much; but she would be able to see. Not all that much as it was nighttime - and so the shadows would be overwhelming. But If she tried to speak through her mind - she would find no connection.

Kai opened her eyes loyally, feeling Xuan beneath her. She gazed around, noting every shadow that swayed and danced. Then she looked down and noted her toes were dangling in water.
"Waves." She said absent mindedly, seeming to be oblivious to the fact she did exactly that... SAY something.
It took a moment for her to realize in fact, and it was amusing when she did.
"HOLY SH-" SHe stopped herself just in time and sat in silence, staring in awe.

"You have a very beautiful voice." He said fondly, hesitantly lifting a finger and brushing the wet hair from her face. Other then that he neither said or did anything - just waiting for her.

Tears sprung up in Kai's eyes as she raised a hand an gripped her throat with it, noting she now possessed a tongue again. For a brief second she questioned how, but soon the question died and she didn't care. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
She turned briefly and flung herself against Xuan with all her strength, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and burying her face into his chest, crying outright with joy.

Xuan didn't move at all when she jumped him, but he was surprised at her other reaction. He, still very hesitant, moved his hand over her back and trailed his fingers up and down comfortingly. "I'm apologise, I did not intend to make you upset in any form" he sounded mildly distressed.

A teared sort of laugh issued from deep within Kai's throat.
"I am not upset... i've never been more grateful in my life." She looked up at Xuan, her eyes glittering with tears.
"Why are you so good to me?"

Xuan stood up and took her back over to his horse. He helped her up into the saddle before geting up behind her. "Feel free to fall asleep at any-time; the yin takes a lot out of a person; and you've just been over-exposed to it" he reached around her for the reins.

ha, she didn't even really hear him telling her she could sleep, the moment he was behind her she leaned back against him and fell asleep almost instantly, feeling both physically and emotionally drained

They rode slowly and quietly back to where they had met the horses. The mare had left on request earlier i the night. Xuan jumped off of the black stallion. He had Kai back in his arms within moments and was carrying her towards the cottage. 'She looks so peaceful' he thought

Xuan placed her down on her be once they were insie the house. He'd been ignoring the White Tiger's little remarks and comments throughout he trip into the home; but finally decided to reply. 'Stay out Bai Hu. This is none of your buisiness' he said in a tone that was completely calm. That was what shut Bai Hu up; for if it had been annoued... he woul hae comtinue as he had been... but that had been a direct order...
