Trey's eyes widened a little, and he swallowed. "I-I...I guess I'm just nervous about crossing the border, you know?" he shrugged, though his eyes were wary. "Um" he thought quick to change the topic, "Will this be your first time crossing too?"

Karlus opened his mouth slightly, feinting shock, "A war?... No way!" he looked up to Sabela and was grinning once again, "You don't need the two of them to be insane Sabela" he chuckled and reached over to pull her into the hug to show that he was joking.
"So, We gonna just stand here?" he looked up at the knights

Kassi gave her father a quick squeeze before joining her siblings.

Llyr opened his mouth to respond to Trey but was cut off by the call from the prince.
"Ready to go as soon as thy good self commands highness." He bowed. "I'll go see that the princesses conveyance is all in order immediately." straightening from his bow he turned, clapping Trey on the shoulder firmly but friendlily.
"Relax, we're a diplomatic convoy... things should go smoothly." He then left.
As he walked though, now his gaze was out of view in darkened. Things would not go well, the girl he cared for was about to be married off to some foreign prince, and there were a lot of people who didn't want the alliance. He'd have to be on constant vigilance. Forbidden feelings or not, Sabela and the others were still his princesses, he would protect them all with his life if the need arose.

Joslyn meanwhile had turned as Llyr spoke and was now frowning.
"Did anyone else notice that Llyr is looking a little grumpy today?" She tilted her head in a cutely naive way before turning to Trey. Noticing his nervous look she smiled and approached him.
"Care to escort me to the carriage?" She said in a fairly formal but friendly way, holding up her arm for him to take.

At the Prince's words, Xavier walked up to Kassi.
"M'lady," he said, offering her his arm to take. "Are you ready?"

Sabela punched her brother lightly at his remark, hugging him back tightly. However, she quickly rushed to Llyr's defense when Josie commented on him looking grumpy.
"I'm sure it just because of the pressure that's on him to deliver us safely. He's known us all for a very long time."

The king remained where he was. He doubted he'd be able to handle seeing his daughters leave, so he had decided to watch from afar.

Trey's cheeks flushed and he darted a look to the other knights. "Uh..." he swallowed the lump in his throat and tried to smile,. "Yes M'lady" he said, ducking his head a little. He then took Joslyn's arm on his own carefully.
Yeah, he was knight.... but this wasn't in the training!

Karlus came up behind Trey and looked over his shoulder, between the two of them. "Hmm... Arm a little higher. Keep your head up. Confidence.... and uh... Lose the red"' he winked at Trey before pulling his head out, walking back and mounting his horse without a seconds thought.

This, of coarse, left Trey a darker shade of pink, looking slightly fearful. He looked back at Xavier and then realized what he was supposed to be doing and started to walk toward the Carriage outside of the hall.

Kassi looked at Xavier and nodded her head. "Yes sir" she took his arm. She looked back at her father for one last time and tried her hardest to give him a smile. Trying to say, "We'll be alright", but her eyes told differently.

"I'm not really THAT scary am i?" Joslyn asked, blushing lightly and dipping her head in a shy manner as he took her arm and they walked out to the carriage. She inwardly thanked her brother for helping the Knight, she hated seeing someone so tense.
The carriage lay waiting, Llyr standing holding the door, also having what appeared to be a slightly tense conversation with the peasant who would be driving the carriage. But once he saw Joslyn and the others approaching he shooed the man and stood up straight, bowing and gesturing to the door.
"Why thankyou Sir Llyr." Joslyn said formally, releasing Trey's hand and turning to him.
"Thank you for the arm, dear escort." She then turned and with a gentle hand of help from Llyr climbed up into the carriage.

Llyr, after helping her up, looked at Trey and gestured to a nearby horse.
"Mount up. We'll be leaving soon."

Xavier looked carefully at Kassi as they made their way over to the carriage.
"You're not really, are you?" he said in a quiet, low voice. He could see the expression in her face and eyes. Honestly, he didn't think any of the princesses were ready for this. Kassi wouldn't have any time to reply however, as they had arrived at the carriage where Llyr was waiting to help the princess in.

Sabela hesitated a moment to face her father. She stood there silently for a while as the others made their way to the carriage.
"Farewell then I guess," she said to him, her emotion unreadable.
The king opened his mouth to reply, but Sabela turned, heading down to where the others waited.

Kassi pretended like she hadn't heard Xavier. She let go of his arm and was helped into the carriage by Llyr. Once inside, it was very spacious. Decked out in blue, gold and white cushions and draped with red curtains. She took one of the cushions off of a seat and sat down on it; turning to the side so that her legs were spead across it. There was one for each of them. Long enough to double as a bed. "We're leaving everything... arn't we?" she asked Joslyn in a quiet voice, very unusual for her.

Trey shook his head, "No, you are everything but, My Lady" he smiled genuinely and handed her over to Llyr; who suggested he mount.
'This I have no problem with' he thought to himself as he gave a Llyr a quick nod to show that he understood and then headed over to the horse.
He was completely relaxed by then, walking around to the front of the black beast. "Hey there" he barely breathed the words, not wanting to seem even weirder, "You feeling as much of a fool as I am?" he sighed and rubbed the horse's cheek affectionately before moving around, hitching his foot in the silver stirrup and casually pushing himself up into the saddle. He patted the horses neck, "Good boy", and turned him toward the carriage, ready to leave when the others were.

Karlus stood back and watched as his sisters got into the carriage. He then looked back and nodded to their father. There were a few unspoken words passed between the two of them before Karlus pulled the horse around gently, barely having to flick his hands to the side for it to respond to him.
He rode up to Llyr then, "We need to take them through the town so that the people can say their farewells. But there are those who dislike the idea of the my sisters departing the country for good. We need to keep them away." he said seriously, though he still smiled in a friendly way.

LLyr extended his hand to Sabela, his eyes unreadable and his polite demeanor not even quivering for her, though if one looked hard enough you could see his eyes had softened a little. Once Sabela was safely in the carriage with his sisters he looked up to acknowledge the prince on his horse.
"Of course sire." He said with a bow, closing the carriage door and moving closer to the prince, gesturing for him to bend down so they could have a private word.
"I would humbly request to ride with you sire, i have some questions." He then bowed again and walked around the carriage to mount his own smokey white shire stallion.

Joslyn meanwhile felt her eyes begin to sting as kassi asked her if they were truly leaving everything and solemnly she nodded, casting her eyes towards the window to hide her tears.
"Yes Kassi... we are...but i'm sure that if all goes well our Lord's may allow us to return for visits... i would miss home so very much." She turned to face her sister again, smiling sadly and pulling her knees up to her chest and hugged them.

Xavier remained silent as usual, walking to the front of the carriage where he nimbly mounted a regal-looking black gelding. Gathering up the reigns, he waited patiently for the others.

Sabela bit her lip, avoiding eye contact as she accepted the help from Llyr into the carriage. Once inside, she was welcomed by the sight of her two disheartened sisters. She sat beside Josie on her bed and pulled her into a hug, gesturing to Kassi to come join her so she could embrace her too.
"Come here Kassi. You two act as if our dooms are set. You only lament what is ahead because you don't know exactly what it is. You fear the worst, but there is equal chance that this could be the best path you could have taken. Yes, you will miss home, but Mother must have too when she first travelled to our father's castle."
She paused for a second, trying to remember her mother's face. She had passed so long ago that now her image was beginning to become fuzzy in her mind.
"It didn't consume her though, did it? And neither will it with us."
She kissed her sisters on the forehead, then stood.
"We might as well enjoy ourselves on this journey. Never have we travelled so far. Won't it be wonderful to see new sights? To meet new people?"
She smiled encouragingly to her two younger siblings.
"Why, it could be somewhat of an... adventure."

Kassi went and sat next to her sisters. But she couldn't help not being as enthusiastic about it as Sabela. Though, she did brighten up a bit, "At least Karlus is coming. It'll be like when we were children, and we went on hunting trips with him and father" She definitely enjoyed this thought, and tried to hold onto the joy the memory brought with it.

Karlus only nodded to Llyr. If it was private then maybe his sisters weren't suppose to hear it. He stayed by the side of the carriage as it was set into motion. It would take them approximately 10 minutes to advance into the city.

Joslyn also smiled, though timidly, at the thought of adventure.
"It will be nice to have a change in scenery i must admit."

Llyr kicked his horse onward to stay level with a carriage, his shield strapped to his back and his sword at his side, ready and for now, mostly for appearance, to hopefully scare away any attempts to thwart the alliance from the people of the city.

Sabela smiled at her sisters.
"That's more like it."
She gave them each a quick squeeze before moving to a chair across the carriage where she could see out of the window.

Xavier rode close beside Trey, giving him a small nudge, then nodding discretely in Llyr and Karlus' direction.
"Don't s'pose you know what that's about?" he asked in a low, quiet voice.
He had noticed the knight having a private word with the Prince, sparking his curiousity.

Trey shrugged his shoulders. "No idea. I'm guessing maybe it's to do with security... but that's as much a guess as any idea that you have" he glanced back at the two of them, 'What would they do in this situation? Am I being a coward?"[/b] he frowned slightly, but turned back around. He rode up the very front, taking Llyr's position for the time being; indicating to Llyr that there was no rush.

Kassi went and lay back on her seat. "SO, what's for lunch?" she grinned, trying to lighten the air hanging over them.

Llyr cleared his throat, hoping to catch the prince's attention, and then dropped off to a light voice.
"Your highness... if i could be so bold to ask, have you ever encountered a woman who you would do anything to have, but cant? If so, how would you go about forgetting?"
He figured the prince might guess, but he hoped to the gods that the prince took it in an accepting, light hearted manner.

Joslyn fidgeted lightly in her seat, watching the city go by out the window.
"I don't feel much like eating, to tell you the truth."

At her sister's question, Sabela jumped up and moved toward the back of the carriage, producing a platter of fruits.
"You don't have to eat right now," she said to Josie as she set the plate down on a table in the center of the chairs, "but you might be hungry later."

Xavier stared at Llyr and Karlus for a moment longer before turning his attention to the road ahead. He sighed. Though the people were suppose to be at peace for the time being, he knew their travels wouldn't be free of trouble.
