Trey made an inaudible groan when Joslyn rocked him and rolled over onto his side. He wrapped his arms over his head to block out the increased sunlight from his vision once he'd opened up his eyes just a little bit. He stared at Joslyn for a few moments, trying to figure out who she was before it dawned on him and he sat up speedy and straight, wiping any excess sleep from his eyes. "Princess Joslyn" he bowed his head in appology. He continued the bow and would do so until she told him otherwise. 'have i been found out? why else would the royalty wake me up? is she exiling me? can she do that? of coarse she can.. dammit!'

"Sabela..." Karlus began gently, beginning to walk with her, "I need your help little sister" he sighed. They walked past the horses and he offered her help to mount his steed. He knew the ropes and he didn't want his sister to feel uncomfortable. He was going to be a good king, whether he believed it or not. Unconsciously, he knew that by putting her on the horse, he was making her higher; letting her know she could get away from their conversation if she wanted to do so. "I'm not so sure anymore if i am doing the right thing.." he took the horse's reins in his hand to lead the horse beside him once she was mounted.

Xavier cocked an eyebrow.
"And what do you plan to do after that?" he asked his fellow knight.

Sabela wasn't going to run away from her brother and what he had to say, but she felt horribly uncomfortable, which wasn't her brothers fault. She would have been uncomfortable no matter what he did. She remained silent, letting Karlus guide her to his horse, until he urged the animal forward.
"Why do you feel that?" she asked softly.

Llyr shrugged, eyes jerking over to check on all the princesses and the Prince again, noting the Sabela was speaking with Karlus, he tried to hide his frown.
"I don't know. Return to the city, join the legion. Something like that." He replied to Xavier.

Joslyn giggled as the Knight sat up abruptly and she gestured for him to stop bowing.
"Time to get up sleepy head. We're leaving soon." She straightened and put her hands behind her back, rocking in a coy motion.

[Sparkles]

Karlus smiled sadly, "Because you don't want to get married. Though.. you know.. maybe it's just me. Maybe I can't handle my little sisters practically being sold to another country to stop a war when all other options have not been exhausted" he sounded as if he was getting frustrated, which he was. He was seeing through his father.. and fast.

Trey smiled at the princess sheepishly, and also in a relieved manner. "sorry princess" he chuckled, trying to disguise his relief, "Was i snoring?" he stood up. "Can i assist you in any way?"

Sabela remained silent for a long moment.
"I don't want to be married to who I'm intended for..." she corrected finally.

Xavier still looked sceptical.
"And you'll be able to do that? Just walk away?"

Llyr frowned, was he really that readable?
"It is my duty to walk away." he said, his voice filled with distaste, "My opinion on the matter is of no concern."

Joslyn giggled again and nodded her head.
"You were snoring." She teased, "We're nearly done already, so i don't think we need you to do anything."

[Sparkles]

"Oh" Trey frowned, feeling a little guilty. He looked around.. and noticed something odd. Everyone seemed very downhearted this morning. "Is.. everything okay? he asked Joslyn curiously. He did not have anything to roll up that he had slept on or under, as he had slept on the bare ground under the moonlight sound asleep all night.

Karlus nodded his understanding, "You will not be married then. Not yet. When you choose. Do not tell the others, for they also have the choice, but i will not stand by and escort you to something you do not wish favourably apon" he waited for her response, needing to know how she was coping with this before continuing on.

Without warning, Sabela started sobbing. Her hands moved to cover her face, not really wanting to be so emotional in front of her brother. She really appreciated what he was trying to do for her.

Xavier shrugged, standing and stretching.
"There's a point where your humanity overrules duty. Some things just can't be forced by word."

Llyr frowned even further and shook his head in an exasperated fashion.
"And there are some times when you have no choice in either." He retorted, eyes staring at nothing in particular.

Joslyn's smiling face saddened a little and she looked around as well, noting the lingering sadness.
"Things are a little hard for us at the moment." She admitted shamefully, "But it will work out."

[Sparkles]

"I understand princess. Possibly you will like the prince you are given to" he tried to reassure her; though not having much talent in the talking to women field, he was feeling quite foolish himself. "Princess?" he took a deep breath, "DO you believe in love?" he feared she would take his quiery to be a personal one but did not know how to word it without sounding rude otherwise.

"You will not wage war darling little sister" he smiled softly at her, "I have a few things up my sleeve first" he frowned and sighed sadly, "Though that would help if i were to be wearing sleeves" he shook his head at his pathetic joke, though knowing it should work to accomplish the smallest cheer in him sister's saddened tueir.

Sabela moaned at her brother's joke, but it became apparent she was laughing as she looked up to him, brushing her tears away from her eyes.
"Thank you Karlus," she said quietly.

Xavier shrugged, deciding he wasn't going to push the line of conversation with the knight. He seemed rather set on his negative viewpoint.

Joslyn looked deeply thoughtful for a moment before she nodded.
"I've read about it in storybooks and dreamed of having it myself." She giggled slightly and shook her head, "And i've seen it in people's eyes all around the castle but..." She dragged off and her expression saddened, "I don't think it will ever happen to me."

Llyr felt a little bad that he'd argued with Xavier so hard headedly, but he just wasn't feeling very accommodating at the moment.
