But if you must forget... try to think... to believe in all the reasons why you shouldn't be together. All the reasons why she is not good enough for you, or vice versa." he gave a Llyr a supportive thump on the back, "But do think about what you're doing before giving up on her. he glanced sideways at the carriage.
Kassi sighed and lay back on the bed.

Llyr shook his head slowly.
"if only it were just that she was too good for me, but that is the smallest of reasons." He noticed the prince glance at the carriage and sighed.

Sabela scooped a few berries in her hand before heading to her bed and lying down. She rolled onto her side so her sisters wouldn't see her face and sighed silently. Having Llyr coming on this journey was both a blessing and a curse. She would be able to spend some time with him, she hoped, but he would also be there when she was married off to one of the princes. She could feel the tears welling in her eyes, but fought them back for fear one of her sisters would catch her. She had to stay positive for them.

Kassi sat back and stared at te roof. This was going to be a VERY long trip.
"Never be discouraged Llyr. Never change your feelings for any reasons but your own" he smirked slightly as he saw that the villages had noticed the carriage. This was going to be fun!

Joslyn watched her sisters in silence for a little while before she moved over to kneel at one of the carriage windows and gave a silent sigh as she watched the village go by.
She was going to miss her home.
"Were it so easy my lord." Llyr murmured before he kicked his horse to move the front of the column, as acting captain of the royal guard, he had to keep an eye on the people.

Xavier fell back slightly to ride right beside the carriage, just behind the door so the princesses could look out to their people, but Xavier could also protect them should some sort of danger arise.
Sabela forced herself up and sat beside one of the carriage windows, waving and smiling to those who had gathered. This would probably be the last time she would farewell these people as her own. Next time she arrived, she may be considered a princess of a strange land. Queen even perhaps. She surpressed a shudder at this thought.

Trey fell back to the other side of the carriage. He was mostly lost in thought, beginning to doubt himself as a knight already.
Karlus was already swarmed with fans, though he didn't mind. People were shoving all kinds of objects his way; from garments to babies.The garments he would brush aside lightly; the babies he would softly touch on the forhead before moving on. But, also, the citizens were trying to move closer to the carriage...

It didn't take Llyr long to notice this encrouching crowd. He gave a simple gesture to the small squad of guards that were tasked with escorting them from the city. The guards moved forward to line the sides of the carriage, remaining between in an the swarming people.

Though she felt slightly nervous from the crowd closing in on the carriage, Sabela remained where she was seated, determined to see her people off.
Xavier guarded the carriage door protectively. If anyone thought they were getting through him to the princesses, they'd have another thing coming.

Karlus trotted to the front. His horse had no reins - that was one of his well known traits, for he'd never used them. "Citizens!" They quietened down at his voice, "Today our princesses are leaving. They are doing this our country a great honour by tying us to our neighbours. Without this, the war will continue and our country will be little more then a deserted plan in a decade. Do you want that?" Silence. He slowed down into a walk. "We will remember these women for who they are, and what they will do. We are not losing them, for they will still be with us in our hearts... in our minds... and they may honour us with a visit every so often. You will see..." The crowd agreed with him by applauding. He looked back to the carriage - to where he knew his sisters could see him, and winked. Much of an attention seeker?... Naaaah  But it had seemed to have worked, and the crowd had turned into a farewell party. |

Joslyn burst into tears the moment their brother made his little speech and the crowd began cheering and chanting their names.
She couldn't do this, she didn't even want to leave the kingdom, let alone marry some foreign prince.

Sabela sent a warm smile to her brother and to the crowd, remaining there a moment before moving from the window to attend to her crying sister. She crouched beside where she sat, hugging her shoulders.
"You know, I'm not going to tell you everything will be alright, because I honestly don't know." She offered Joslyn a white lace handkerchief. "But I don't know whether it's going to be as awful as we fear either."
Sabela realised her slip-up after she had spoke and cursed inwardly. It was the first time she had actually said she had doubts about this treaty of sorts.

Karlus stayed where he was - leading by making a pathway through the crowd.
Kassi pulled her knees up to her chin and stayed silent.
Trey listened to Karlus with interest; taking in everything he said, the way he said it, the reaction of the people around... If only he could have that sort of an effect on others. To have them want to hear him speak and to be able to wake in the morning... knowing what the future would hold... or at least having guidelines to it. He sighed and his horse continued on as it had been.
