((Kai, this prince Taz is controlling is Sabela, Kassi and Josie's older brother, not the one of the princes our characters are going to marry. We control one of the princes we are going to marry, you the youngest, me the middle one and taz the oldest, when we actually get to the princes' castle))

Joslyn loved her brother, he was always fun to be with and didn't take court life to seriously like most of her maiden friends. She willed herself to ignore him just long enough that she could reply to her father.
"I know my duty father, but my duty is not to that Kingdom... if the time comes for me to prove my allegiance to them... i shall no doubt be a disgrace to you. i cannot love a king that has made our people suffer for so long."
She then turned away from him, her eyes holding no malice.
"I shall miss you daddy..." She then turned and ran, slightly undignified but lady like anyway, over to her brother.
"Karlus!" She said with a grin, holding her arms out to indicate she wanted a hug. "You are coming with us? Marvellous! I thought i was going to have to say goodbye before we left."
Llyr was similar minded... with the prince coming along he might find the chance to speak with him, and learn the way to win a maiden's heart, an art the prince was rumoured to be professional at. Llyr, having been employed since childhood as a sort of play mate for the King's children he'd known them all a long time, so he felt he could trust the prince with the revelation of his strong affection for Sabela.

The King sighed silently, slightly relieved in a way that Karlus had turned up to take attention away from himself. He stood back to watch his children for the moment.
Sabela stood back and waited her turn patiently while Josie greeted Karlus. She smiled warmly at her brother, glad to hear he would be joining them. She felt selfish in thinking it, but she hoped his presence would lift some of the responsibility to stay strong for her sisters from her.

Kassi stayed by her father. If Karls was coming with them then she would see him soon. But they wouldn't see their father for so long. How she knew she could weep-but... she couldn't.
Karlus frowned slightly, taking Joslyn into his arms and giving her his big brother bear hug. "Goodbye, ha?... hnn, Did you seriously believe that I was going to leave the three of you to men that quite possibly be complete mongrels?" he whispered, so that their father would not hear.
According to the kingdom, Karlus was going to be the next king. And that was just fine; but he would never have practically sold his daughters, if he was already. But he didn't hold bitter against their father. Not in front of the girls.
Trey stayed back with Llyr. He also grinned when the prince came n to announce that he was coming with them. That was great! But... what if he found out?

Llyr's eyes darted sideways at Trey and he frowned slightly, his mind roving away from ways of wooing a forbidden woman and to the alertness of his fellow Knight.
"You look painfully uncomfortable." He said casually, trying to keep the bitterness from his bad mood out of his voice.
Josie grinned broadly, her eyes twinkling at her brother.
"No beating anyone up thought remember, we don't want a war..."

The King put an arm around Kassi's shoulders, giving her a small smile.
"I'm glad you're coming," Sabela said quietly to her brother as she stepped forward.
Then she smiled and looked down at Josie.
"These two would drive me insane otherwise," she teased.
Xavier listened in to Llyr and Trey's conversation. He had noticed the younger knight's discomfort and was curious as to why he was acting so... strange.
