[Tifa Lockhart]

Mia followed casually, a smile on her face as they entered the man's office.
"Well you definitely are observant." She became more serious that instant.
"Now, what is it you wanted to talk about?"

[Sparkles]

John wasn't sure where to start, so he just picked a spot and began talking, "The man that if after your friend is a demon"
he wasn't going to explain how he knew it.
"I would very much like it if the two of you stay here until I can figure out a way of stopping him from coming after her... please, consider it"

Mia chewed a lip, rolling the revelation around in her head a little before she frowned.
"A demon? That will be why Kai can't see his Aura..." She fell silent, resting her chin on her hand again.
"Why would a demon be after Kai?" She asked, perplexed.

[Sparkles]

John pinched the bridge of his nose, obvously contempleting wha he was going t let her know, and what he would keep with himself. "Her... power. It is a threat to him. If he didn't have control over her... Well, t put it simply he is a jackass. One that I plan to have removed as soon as I have a chance. The two of you are safe here; i promise."
He looked up at her, "Also, he is not just a demon. He is a demon prince. Number 36 from the throne"

Mia was curious now... VERY curious.
"How do you come to know so much about demons Mr Chen?" She asked, frowning. Her gaze was not accusing, just firm enough to show she wouldn't accept a lie.
"And how is Kai's ability a threat? She can't do any extraordinary feats or anything... she's just able to see what people are like on the inside... she cant heal people either... so if she discovers someone is ill, she brings them to me... what good could controlling her gift possibly have for him?" She bombarded him with questions without really thinking.
"And control her why? What's he trying to stop her doing?" She was very worried about her friend, and if this man knew why this demon or whatever he was had been killing people close to Kai, and maiming her unexplainably for years then it would be of great help to her.

[Lets make it that they start to think that he's a chinese spy]

John never lied. If he didn't want to say something, he'd just refuse to tell. "I know so much about demons because of my work." This was well rehearsed. Plus, he could not be read at al unless he wished. "Miss Kai's ability is a threat to him as he does not want any of his enemies to take contol of it. If they did, then theyd be able to tell who was a demon... and who is not" he answered her questions one at a time, patiently. "His enemies. My allys" he added, trying to be helpful.

Mia was confused now and getting a little flustered, she sat back in her chair and folded her arms. This guy was weird...
"How can they use Kai to determine demons? She can't tell. She didn't know he was a demon. And you still haven't really answered... why is Kai such a threat to him? There are others with the same ability as Kai! I mean... her daughter had it and he didn't hesitate when her kil-" She stopped abruptly, all the colour draining from her face.
"Oh shit..." She fell deathly silent... Kai was going to kill her for sure.

[Sparkles]

"She could not see his aura. Correct? Which means that while others can see him, she can not. I do not know why he chose her above the others, but i do intent to find out." he said the last part quietly. "Would I be right in saying that Simone is reminding her of her daughter?" she said, still completely unreadable.

Mia nodded slowly.
"I think so... I've never seen Kai so distressed... except when that bastard killed Natalya. She wasn't even that bad when he caused the first 'accident'...." She bit her lip.
"I really shouldn't tell you any more about her... thats up to Kai... i'm sure if you ask she'll tell you.... you did save her life..."

[Sparkles]

"That is fine. I prefer that actually, as there is no more that I can tell either of you now" his eyes went blank. A few moments later they recolored again and his body relaxed.
Leo poked his head around the door, "My Lord?"
"Simone had training now"
"She's already in the training room" Leo smiled.
When John didn't smile back, Leo lost his, and looked afraid for a moment. "I'll get her out. I'm sorry"
John stared after him as he left, then looked back at Mia. "go and talk with your friend. It would be appreciated if I could have an answer to whether the two of you will stay here"
He stood up and left. He walked down the hall. Leo stood outside with Simone, not looking up at John.
John looked at him, "I will speak with you later. Come Simone"
Simone was frowning too, but followed her father into the training room, the door shutting behind he.

Mia stood, gazed around the mans office briefly and walked from the room, brushing her hand against his desk as she went past. It was a simple gesture, that wouldn't be branded as anything dangerous or suspicious, but from the tiniest touch she normally got some info on the person who owned the object, but she learnt nothing.
Perplexed, she gaze Leo a sidelong glance and disappeared up the hall and into the room where Kai was.

she found her friend slumped over the desk in the room. By her quivering Mia could tell she was crying.
"Kai, what's the matter?" Mia said, advancing to her friends side quickly and placing a hand gently upon her shoulder.
Kai raised her head and whiped her eyes, reaching across the desk to retrieve a pen and paper.
Upon it she wrote.
They all break my heart[/u]
Mia frowned, deciding her friend need not know what she had just learned until her mental state had improved.
"Why?" She asked gently, and Kai began to write again.

Leo sighed and walked back down the passageway and into the lounge. Monica had braught some papers from his car and put them on the couch for him. "Thanks Monica" he fell back into the cushions. The bamboo frame groaned underneath his weight as he leant forward and found one of Simone's little-mermaid pens. Blue ink, good enough.

Mia exited the room, shutting the door and lightly as her seething temper would allow.
"If you'll excuse me..." She said vaguely to whoever was on the couch as she passed toward the front door. "I have something i need to do."
She walked out the door, down the front path until she was near the end of their block before screaming in fury. You have not heard someone pissed off until you've heard Mia's scream.
She then flopped into a seated position and stared angrily at the horizon.

Leo didn't register that Mia had passed out of the front door until he heard the scream. It wasn't pained, but he checked the door to the training room. No, John hadn't heard. Or, he was too far gone in Simone's lesson to register it.
Leo then dashed from the apartment and down the street. He was relieved when he saw Mia was unharmed and his fists undid and fell by his sides. He walked forward, toward her a few steps and stood; silent. Either waiting for her to talk, or waiting for her to come back with him, OR not knowing what to do. Actually, all three. He knew well that some people would take offense if he went too close to them. He was big, and black. It was occasionally intimidating.

Mia sat grinding her teeth for a minute or two before standing and taking a deep breath.
"I have a small anger problem... unless you hadn't already guessed." He turned and gave him a small grimace in place of a smile.
Then, completely exasperated after her small explosion and gave another frustrated sigh.
"Ever wanted to kill someone so bad?" She asked, seeking advice from SOMEONE. She'd been dealing with Kai's problems for the past ten or so years all on her own and it was really beginning to piss her off.
