[Sparkles]

Leo walked forward a bit, gesturing back to the apartment. "Walk and talk" he suggested, checking the street around.
He then began walking back, making sure he kept his attention to their surroundings, "There're many actually. But I'm guessing you mean the demon." he paused, to give her a reassuring smile, "He calls himself Simon Wong by the way. Just so you know what name to put on your hit list" he chuckled and continued on.

Mai gave an almost feral snarl, her eyes flashing with a weird canine look briefly before they returned to just the normal pissed off one.
"Simon Wong huh..." She cracked her knuckles quietly by clenching her fists.
Something about this man comforted Mai and she felt compelled to trust him.
"I don't know whether we should stay as asked or whether we should leave for the sake of Kai's mental stability... i've never seen her in such a mess." She gave a saddened sigh.

Leo stopped walking. They hadn't been very far away and were now at the bottom of the stairs that led back up. "What does she see that effects her so much? If it's John Chen's aura..." he looked up the stairs, "He's not evil, or sick, or... um... what's that other thing that-"
"Leo!" Micheal came running down the street, dagger in hand, covered in black goo. It looked like thick, thick petrol; but smelled like something...
Leo looked up and his brow furrowed. "I will talk to you later Mai, go back inside"
Micheal was with them now, puffed out, with his hands on his knees. "Level 20s" he stood up.
"How many?" Leo didn't seem too worried.
"I don't know... but I think about 10. I just left the school and they cornered me. They got me right where they wanted" he cussed, annoyed out of all hell.

Mai frowned as she obliged and did as she was told, brushing past Leo in a rather perterbed fashion.
Why is it, we're told to trust those who don't seem to trust us enough to tell us what's going on. She closed the door behind her and headed back down to Kai's room. He friend was drawing on her sketchpad that had been at the desk. Mai caught a brief glance before Kai hid it from view, it was an angel, but her face held great similarity to that of Natalya.
"It's alright Kai.. it's me." Mai smiled and placed a hand on her friends shoulder.
"I've decided we should stay... i want to know once and for all whats going on here."

A few minutes later both Leo and Micheal re-entered the lounge room. Monica saw them and ignored them both, walking into the kitchen. "You did good. Go take a shower. Get it all off"
Micheal grinned at the compliment, nodded, went down the hall and into his room.
Leo yawned and followed in a slower manner; after closing the door and telling Monica that she must give him a shout if either of the girls looked like they were going to leave again.
He stopped outside of the training room and knocked on the door. Seconds later it was opened by John. Leo fell to his knees and saluted, "12 level twenties just attacked Micheal sir. He got away and came back" he grimaced, his skin beginning to sting.
John nodded, "I felt them"
Leo frowned ad stood up but was cut off by John before he could say anything, "Go and wash it off before you lose your skin"
"Yes My Lord" he turned and left.

"Daddy? Wh-"
"Simone. Are you supposed to be talking?"
No answer. John shut the door.

Kai was still finishing her sketch and Mai had slipped into a meditative state while sitting on the floor in the lotus position. It was completely silent, and once Kai was sure she would not stir, she stood and moved to the window to look out of it. She placed a hand on the glass gently, as if reaching for something that wasn't there before going back to simply staring.
Mai had said they were staying... but Kai still wasn't soon keen... these people were strange, she'd never seen anyone like them.

[Skip to dinner. Everyone'll be at the kitchen table]

"Miss Kai? Miss Mai?" Monica tapped lightly on their door and stood back t wait for an answer.

Simone sat in a risen seat, between her dad and Leo. Micheal sat on Leo's right
John had put a new shirt on, and his pants were old, the knees tattered and the cuffs fraying. His hair was down, and Simone was trying to do it up in a large plat. They all laughed everytime she tutted.

Kai stirred Mai from her trance and the two quietly exited the room.

[Sparkles]

Monica led them to the table, showed them their seats and went back int the kitchen.
"Hi Kai! Hi Mai!" Simone gleamed and then turned back to John and frowned, "Keep still." she pleaded.
He chuckled. She'd never be able to do it, but she persisted to try and make his long black hair neat for once.

Monica came into the room and began placing food on the table. Simone quickly put the hair-lacky in and took he chopsticks off of the table. She thanked Monica and scooped up some noodles into her mouth. Micheal watched her with an amused expression.
She noticed and glared at him above her noodles. "What?"

Kai didn't feel very hungry, but she took her seat and picked at her dinner anyway.
Mai however, still fairly zoned out after her meditation was mulling over what she'd seen today, trying to piece together this increasingly strange puzzle.

John's hair was a mess from Simone's attempt. "This is all very sudden for the two of you, isn't it?" he sighed, rubbing his neck and placing both hands on the table top.
Micheal and Leo pretended as if he hadn't said anything and started eating, thanking Monica
"I'm sorry"

Mai looked up and smiled, shaking her head gently.
"No, we've had to deal with worse changes before..." Her eyes travelled down the table to Kai, who was still picking at her food half heartedly.
"There's just the one change i don't think either of us are going to get used to any time soon..." Her hand brushed her mouth in explanation.

John nodded, but then look sheepish, staring down at his hands in an annoyed fashion.
"My Lord" Leo stopped eating and swallowed, "Ask them"
John's looked up at Leo, "Is that an order?"
Leo immediately looked back down at his food. Simone was oblivious. "No My Lord... I just think it would be a good idea"
John studied Leo for a few more moments before his expression softened. he looked back at them, "In three days time... I need to go to Paris to-"
Simone grabbed her daddy's hand, "Paris?!" she squealed with excitement.
Leo groaned quietly, then went to explain to the girls, "I've been dragged around to the eiffel tower and the museum more then I can count in the last few years"
Simone frowned at Leo, putting her hands on her hips, "Don't you like the museum,Leo?"

"Paris huh?" Mai said with a small smile. "I went there once as a kid, but i don't really remember much... beautiful place though."

Kai didn't really acknowledge what was being said, she was too firmly focused on keeping her eyes on the dinner she wasn't really keen on eating. Despite it being dark her purple tinted sunglasses were still over her eyes. She wore them to blot out the Aura's of the people around her, she didn't want to have to look at John and see his, it was too distressing.

"Micheal, once you've finished your dinner, take Simone" John said in a casual manner.
"Sure, My Lord" Micheal said distractedly, trying to fish out the vegetables from his noodles and placing them into a napkin next to his dish.
Simone huffed, but didn't say anything, obviously too excited about Paris to work up any sort of a pout. "Are we staying with Aunty Kwan?" she turned around to face John, her elbow sliding along the table. She knocked her glass of orange juice onto the floor.
Micheal gave a muffled laugh. Leo didn't look up from his noodles, "Did you 'Do A Simone' again?" Despite himself, he was smirking.
