'My wish is for you to be safe' Xuan said truthfully, in a tone that told that there were no two ways about it. 'As for Bai Hu and Mai - I now understand that it is none of my business what happens. Mai seems to understand what she is accepting herself into. The rest is Bai Hu's ground.' he shrugged.

Kai nodded.
Mai has never been one for commitment. she's Indian... and she still has the spirit of the wild west. If you cage her, like an eagle, she'll lose grip of who she is an go mad. I think she understands that Bai may have prior commitments... but as long as he cares for her even a little while i'm sure she'll be happy. Kai smiled tenderly, as if fond memories were flooding back.
I remember when i married David, she didn't understand why i felt the need to be committed forever. She gave a small chuckle as her face saddened. She never understood.

The next morning everyone was woken up early. The flight back went fast, but this was because they took that detour, landing in Europe.

Xuan was first to exit the plain, hand in hand with Simone. 'It is safe' he told them, his spirits lifting as he prepared for Kai's surprise that was to happen that night. It had just come up in his mind, out of no where, and Simone had loved the idea.

Kai and Mai exited the plane at Xuan's request, blinking away the light briefly.
Kai was curious, hadn't the flight been shorter then they'd been expecting?
When she could finally see again she actually gave a vocal squeal of excitement.

Xuan nodded to Leo and Micheal, who took one of each of the lady's arms to escort them across the field. They arrived at a more cottage-like cottage than Kwan Yin's. 'I was wondering Mai, would you mind if i take Kai for the night?' he asked seriously, not looking back at Mai to make it obvious, but continuing walking. Simone tugged on his long black sleeve and he bent down to her. She whispered something in his ear that made him instantly pick her up. She then took off her sandals and picked the prickles off of her socks.

Mai whuffed dog style, despite being in human form. A curious noise. You could pretty much picture her having one ear pricked and the other flopping while her head was tilted.
Uh i spose? You're not gonna kill her are you? Mai said, a cheeky grin on her face as she looked at him with mock suspicion.

[Sparkles]

Xuan's eyes shone with amusements in the depth of their inky blackness. He looked back at Mai, "Is there a field mouse around? Or does she constantly bark at random intervals?" he looked questioningly at Kai, playing an innocent child; which looked VERY amusing as he was always classified as everything but.

Kai looked sidelong at Mai who shrugged innocently at her, before turning her gaze back to Xuan.
I suppose she barks at anything that moves... including grass... what are we doing here?

[Sparkles]

"Relaxing." he answered simply, entering the building in a few more strides. Out came two people, a man and an older woman. The woman went to Micheal and ruffed up his hair, which he seemed shocked about - enough to let go of Kai's arm to shield himself, and the man replaced the arm, introducing himself as peter as he led them inside.

Kai blinked in a very confused fashion as to what was going on.

Once inside, Peter showed the young ladies to their seats.
"Are we entering a gothic age tonight My Lord?" he asked brightly, looking over and grinning at The Dark Lord's attire.
Xuan had his back to the room, staring at some scenery pictures of the ocean on the wall. He barely tilted his head at all, but one could easily make out the smirk that was on his lips, reaching up to his eyes. "No. I do not wear jewelry of any kind"
Simone giggled and Micheal looked over at her strangely. She just grinned and shook her head.

Kai and Mai took their offered seats, exchanging questioning looks.
Nice place. Mai bethought Kai, who silently nodded in reply.

Peter and the lady both fell silent, and the others followed suit. Slowly Xuan turned around and took his seat (black leather love seat) with Simone on his lap. "This is Peter, and this is Sonia." he nodded to each in turn. "Peter's family know of us. His family have been my accountants for 224 years next week"
Peter smiled proudly, "I hardly believed what my father was saying when he told me about The Dark Lord; i was ready to send him to the nut-house" he chuckled at the not-so-long-ago memory.
Simone put her hand up in the air as if she was still at school.
"Simone?"
"Tell them why you wanted to pic Peter!! Please daddy? ... wait - Kai, can you guess?" she giggled and Xuan folded his arms smugly over his chest.

Kai blinked again from behind her glasses and was just about to 'voice' her thoughts but she was saved the need by Mai.
"I'm afraid we're both very lost... at least for the most part anyway... he's your accountant... i think we get that."

Xuan was about to tell them when he was cut out by Simone, "I want to tell them!"
Xuan chuckled and leant back into the chair.
"Okay, so daddy was in London one day and he was walking down a street when he saw a sign hanging from a store called "Black's blacksmithing". So he went in and told the man in charge that he was a wind. The man didn't believe daddy so daddy showed the man the 'true form'. Then he got the job...right daddy? DId I miss anything?" she looked up at him.
He kissed her forehead gently, "No."

[Remember that they didn't know he had a true form. or, anything about it anyway.]
