[Tifa Lockhart]

Mai skidded to a stop at the door and turned, her normal doggish appearance replaced with the snarling fangs of an enraged wolf.
"Why! He doesn't deserve mercy... let me rip him apart!" Her voice was deep and angry.

The pain disappating was like a pressure in her brain being released... but as it did so did all the controlled emotions it had been causing. She burst into tears and her mind collapsed into pandemonium.
Let me out.... let me go... She repeated over and over in her head. Why didn't he take me instead....

[Sparkles]

There was a burst of light from the kitchen and then a woman walked out. She smiled kindly at everyone in the room, ten looked over John, obviously not too approving of what he had been doing. "You come today Ah Wu. I will meet you as always and we can begin"
Then she dis apeared, just like that.

Mai's murderous mood seemed to suddenly melt, just like that.
The wolf blinked and all ferocity in it's face disappeared.
"Who was that?" She said.

Kai however, stood and in an attempt to disappear made quietly for their room.

[Sparkles]

John swayed on his feet, his vision blurring badly, duplicating the environment around him.
His eyes went blank, and then he was lying on the floor, his hair out and draping over both his face and the floor. His face was also turned to the floor, his cheek against the tile as he held his head.

Kai span, suddenly aware of an odd feeling... like a buzzing in her mind. As she turned she witnessed john collapse and came running back down the hall to drop at his side.

Mai too, have become her human form and was kneeling beside the unconscious man.

[Sparkles]

"Shit! I knew this would happen!" Leo said in an exasperated tone as he ran over to John's side and lifted him up into his arms as if he didn't outweigh a feather. He silently lay John don on the couch, asking the girls to watch him while he went and made a phone-call.
When Leo was out of the room, John's eyes went back to their normal brown, and closed as if he'd fallen asleep.

Kai took a seat beside the sleeping celestial, gesturing that Mai could go back to doing whatever she wanted, reluctantly the shaman woman agreed and went back into their room, unbeknown to Kai, she was looking for Kai's sketchpad, and the record of the recent dream.
Kai remained motionless, like an obedient guard dog. He'd stayed with her while she'd slept, and now she'd do the same for him.

Leo came back into the room, "We need to get to the airport now. Can you tell the rest to meet me by the door?"
He meant, of coarse, ask them through her head. It would work, he might have been unconcious, but it was still there.

Kai nodded and turned her attention to all the others, one by one.
Leo wants you to meet him by the door... She said, obedient again.

[Sparkles]

Only a few minutes passed before everyone was gathered by the front door. "Now, If we sense anything, or find anything - tell Leo or Myself. ANYTHING. And you tell us... but they won't be expecting for us to be leaving today. It was supposed to be tomorrow; but be on the lookout regardless" he cleared his throat and opened the door. Then, he went to pick up John, but he was now standing, more or less, in the doorway, scowling slightly (but it looked as if he hardly had enough energy to do that).
"My Lord!" Leo and Micheal dropped to the ground.
"Leo. You drive. Micheal, sit in the front with Simone-"
"I'm not sitting on him!"
"And I'll sit in the back with the girls. If they attack; I want you BOTH with her to protect her. They won't try for the girls while i'm with them. They know, that even as I am now, I could destroy them - but I won't take any chances."
"My Lord" Leo stood up and opened the door for them all to go through. John went through first; making sure it was clear both ways and walking forward the the stairs."[/b]

As confused and unsure as they both were Kai and Mai followed along obediently and remained silent, doing as they were told without question. They weren't sure what was going on, but John seemed intent on their security being firm.
Why is he going to so much trouble to protect us? Kai said, purely directed at Mai. Mai looked back at her friend and shook her head with a shrug, silent indication that she wasn't sure. Mai knew she could probably speak telepathically as well, but she wasn't sure that she wouldn't unknowingly broadcast her somewhat panicked thoughts to everyone there.

((do i get to do something ultra heroic? XD
Oh, and i want to slowly establish that Kai is not all she seems to be))

[Ok, so, they got to the airstrip - and there was a jet waiting. Lil private jet ^^ Yay! And they're inside.]

John sat back in his seat, feeling very dizzy again. Simone sat on his lap and rested her head against the window.
Leo was taking charge. "We're ready when you are Pete" he spoke to the pilot.
Micheal was setting up, "Anyone up for a game?"

Mai hop-skipped over to Michael and tilted her head.
'"Game of what?"

Kai meanwhile, had retreated to a private corner of the plane with her sketchpad, where she was looking at her newest one. Everything had come to pass as usual.
The two fighting tigers ((it doesn't matter if Michael isn't a tiger, it's symbolic)), the snarling wolf, the crying girl and the falling man. Kai closed the sketchpad and put it back in her bag, one hand reaching up to clutch her aching forehead. The high pitched squealing had returned and every thunderous heartbeat seemed to push on the back of her eyes.

Leo went and sat by Kai, "Are you alright?... When The Dark Lord has his power back, you'll be rid of it" he groaned and sat back in the chair.

[Now, suddenly, a little gray would appear in his aura... for the whole sickness thing]

"Poker" Micheal grinned up at Mai, "If you beat me, I'll tell you something about The Bastard Tiger" he looked like a child who knew they'd done wrong but also that they weren't going to be punished for it.

"Mmmm alright." Mai said, taking a seat with a mischeivious grin. "But no tricky buisness."

Kai looked up upon being spoken too and nodded gently, indicating that she was OK... which wasn't entirely truthful.
Hoping that by letting free her restrained sight the headache might ease, Kai removed her glasses, and it was that instant that Leo shrunk back and it appeared... a patch of sickness in his aura... small but noticeable.
Her eyes widened and darted around him, searching for any more, before she bit her lip and slipped her glasses back on and tried her best to suppress a tiny whine.
