Leo interrupted what Simone was going to say. "Are you a celestial?" he asked outright.
Simone huffed, annoyed with how many people had been overriding what she was saying this morning.
Then John walked in, a cup of chinese green tea on one hand and a newspaper in the other. "She's a Shaman, Leo. She can transform into any of the indian animals. Not a celestial" he added the last bit fast, so that Leo didn't have to re-ask his question. He nodded at John, "Dark Lord"
Then, a very tired Micheal basically got up sleep walking and flopped down into a chinese salute, "My Lord, Xuan Chen Wu... permission to skip the park?"
Of coarse, John knew exactly what Micheal was talking about. "Mmmhmm" he said, then, "Simone - what are you eating?"
Micheal chuckled and left. Simone looked very innocent, peering up at her dad, "Cereal Daddy"

Mai again gave a casual shrug and smile in Leo's direction and despite having had the question answered for her she replied.
"My people have strived to mimic and respect the ways and powers of the spirit people for generations. While we are good at what we do, i am sure we can never hope to understand fully the abilities of the celestial people of course." She gave a shrug.
Simone had been cut off and had never told her another animal, so Mai made the choice herself and next thing you knew a small falcon was circling the light fitting for a moment before perching on the back of the chair Mai had been seated in moments before.

Kai entered the kitchen at this point, her noraml dark sunglasses were adorned but even they could not hide the gauntness in her entire face. Often when she had a dream it took a lot out of her, last night more then usual.
Stop showing off Mai... She grumbled to herself.

"Woah!" Simone grinned at the falcon. Monica came and disposed of her empty dish. John had still been looking at the cheerios like it was poison or something that Simone was eating. As if he'd been ready to grab the dish and take it to the kitchen himself. But, no need now.
While Xuan watched Monica fly around, he gave a light chuckle.
Then she'd landed, "Do not transform into that animal in front of The Tiger. I have enough trouble trying to restrain him as it is"

The eagle leaped down from it's perch with a high pitched cry and changed once more into it's human form.
"I think he prefers the wolf me anyway." she gave a cheeky grin and stretched.
"All my other forms are perhaps a little large for indoors."

Kai cleared her throat so that everyone knew she was now there, before entering properly.

[*smirks* I could have sworn it was a Falcon, not an eagle ]

"Good morning Kai" John said pleasantly. Then, he seemed to remember something, "Sorry, but please excuse me... there's a matter I need to attend to" he folded up the paper and left it on the table.
"My Lord" he saluted; which probably looked awkward, as Simone had jumped into his lap so that she was closer to both him AND Mai.
"But we are going to the park?" she looked worried
He just smiled, nodded, and left the room, heading for his office.

Kai took a seat, not particularly hungry, just there so she didn't seem anti-social.
Mai looked her over in a concerned fashion. "Another one, Kai?" She asked inspecifically.
Kai nodded lightly before resting her aching head in her hands.
"Any other animals you like Simone?" mai asked, turning back to the young girl. "I'll see if i can try some new animals."

Simone gave a full-hearted smile, "I love all animals! Oooh, Can you be a phoenix? Can you? Can you?" she asked excitedly.
Leo cleared his throat. He was right to thin that overnight Xuan Wu could not possibly have explained everything.

Kai looked over at Leo and tilted her head.
He seemed to have something on his mind.

Mai however had a thoughtful look on her face.
"could you give me a picture? I might be able to start from there... but it takes a while for me to learn new animals."

[Please make it she can't... PLEASE *pleads*]

Leo frowned slightly, "The West Wind isn't an animal"
John walked back in with a photo in his hand. He layed it down on the table infront of Mai without a word and sat down again, back to his newspaper

The photo, was one of beauty. It was of a lady in her early thirties, the same as Xuan Wu... presumably. Both of them, in the picture, were glowing golden. A magnificent view of snow mountains filled in the background. The two of them were both sitting cross legged on the grass, facing side-on to the camera and with their hands locked together infront of them, eyes shut.

Simone got a huge grin when she looked at the photo, "Did Aunty Kwan take it?"
John didn't look up, he just nodded.

Mai was silent for a while, a small smile on her face.
"Wow... she's beautiful." She then looked at Leo with a perturbed look on her face.
"Well pardon me and my lacking knowledge and do not make it sound as if when i say animal it's a bad thing... animals are of higher respect then human to my people." She seemed a little annoyed by his tone.

Kai was massaging her temples to try and relieve her head ache. She was having difficulty keeping up with what was going on... she was always vague after a dream.

Leo looked 'put in his place'. "Sorry" he mumbled.

Suddenly there was yelling coming from the kitchen.
"Now 374!"
"My name is Micheal, ad I'm not coming back with you!"
Leo put his head in his hands, "Not this again..."
"You are coming back with me now!"
"No I am not. I don't give a stuff about you, so you can stick it-"
Xuan had disappeared and the yelling had ceased.
Then, it picked back up again, moments later, only on a calmer scale.
"Xuan Chen Wu... he must come with me"
Micheal came out of the kitchen and pulled out a chair roughly. Leo shot the girls a look as if saying, 'For the love of the world, don't move!', only, he couldn't speak like that.
Micheal sat down and Bai Hu came into view, followed calmly behind by Xuan.
All in human form.
"Micheal?" John asked, "Do you wan to stay here, or go back with him?"
The answer was immediate, "STAY HERE! Please!"
Bai Hu had started to growl from deep within his chest, but Joh held up a hand.
"My Lord, I-"

Kai had no problem being silent, and Mai was to stunned to say anything, so the two of them just watched silently with the best uninterested faces they could fake.
Still incredibly confused about it all, but Mai now gathered that there was some disagreement between Bai and Michael.

[Sparkles]

"No. He will stay here unless he wishes otherwise. This is his home too now"
"But-" Bai Hu had noticed their company for presumably the first time. He didn't say anything, but just sat down across the table from Micheal and glared. Micheal glared back.
John sat down again and took a drink out of his tea that Monica had refilled for him. His eyes blanked over. So did Bai Hu's. For once, Simone didn't say anything. She just watched Micheal, obviously worried.
They went back to normal, "Your mother is just as stubborn" he growled half-heartedly at Micheal.
"Good, cause she'd have to have been insane to have been with the likes of you in the first place... I have no idea how the rest of them put up with you in the firs place." Micheal said coldly, his eyes hard and defiant.
The tiger said no more and disappeared.
Leo released his hold on Simone and she rushed over to Micheal and chucked her arms around him in a hug.
This, obviously, startled him to no end. "I'm fine" his voice was quiet. Despite himself, he gave her a hug back.
Xuan's forehead creased slightly at this. "I'm sorry you had to hear that" he said, looking at Kai.

Kai frowned a little, her eyes growing sadder as she shook her head.
It is fine... She said, lifting her eyes to survey all around the table. No one should be expected to be flawless... people disagree.... She cast her sad eyes back down. She felt to no end as if their presence was throwing this family out of routine... and that they felt they should have to modify every occurence in the house to suit her presence... and it made her feel like an intruder even more then she already did.
She was about to 'speak' again when the pain in her head reached a sudden peak and a high pitched squeal screamed in her ears. Her throat contracted and her eyes flew wide behind her glasses as she felt as if she were choking. She wanted to rush outside and breathe, but if she did that, he would have her... he wanted her.
And then, there she was... the face of a screaming little girl... begging for her mum to save her... her pleas taunting her.
No... go away.... Kai whined in her mind, gripping her head until her knuckles went white and tears began to flow out from beneath her glasses.

Mai was on her feet in an instant.
"Kai?" She said, and then she knew... Kai had these turns every so often... they often preceded at attempted attack.
"He's doing it again isn't he?" She said, her voice demanding and filled with an anger she held for only one being.
Kai knew better then to lie to Mai, so she nodded.
Instantly Mai was on her way out of the kitchen.
"Why won't the son of a bitch leave you be? I'm gonna kill him myself!" Next thing Kai knew her friend was a black wolf running full pelt for the door.

No please someone stop her he wants her!

"Micheal, take Simone"
There was no way of Mai getting out f the apartment. The door was not locked. But it was surrounded by chi, given from all four winds - and nothing left or came without Xuan's knowing. Or someone in the household of blood o have given permission. Even Mai. "He can't get her in here, Mai, come back now please" he said calmly, standing up and walked to Kai. He placed a soft hand on her shoulder. The pain would come t a pierce and then eave as immediately as it had come. His hand was glowing as he transfer a very small portion of chi into her body. Into her Dan Tian.
