[Tifa Lockhart]

Maia heard footsteps and then she could see the Aura she identified as Bali. It was splotchy black and white. On her back was the tiny pup Cyrus, whose aura was mostly healthy except a few black patches.
"No, No no no!" She whispered to them.
"Don't Bali. Get off the ice..." She said when she heard Bali scraping at the ice that held her foot prisoner.
"Bali get off the ice it's not sturdy..." She heard the same noise as before, the cracking an shifting of the ice. She heard the crack moving towards them and went into panic.
"Bali move!" She yelled, using her fore paws to lurch herself forward and try and head but Bali out of the cracks reach, the ice beneath her then completely gave way and she was submerged in water.

Wolfwing stood at the edge of the cave watching Ahnghel and the alpha exchange concerned words when his keen ears caught the sounds of splashing.
"Alpha the river!" He cried in a voice you wouldn't hear from Wolfwing much, almost panic... Yet not quite enough to break his demenor any more then perked ears and widened eyes.
It could have been any of the three missing wolven that had fallen into the river... it made sense that it would be thawing out... but he hoped deep in his breast that it was not the blind fatale... because if she submerged and the ice closed over... her hope of finding any opening but the one she came through would be slim to none.

Lupin needed no further warning. He leapt over his packmates and dashed off in the direction of the splashes Wolfwing mentioned. His powerful legs propelled him forward, each muscle rippling with the strain the snow placed upon his maneuverability. This didn't faze him, however, and thus he kept sprinting onward.

About a minute later, he spotted the forms of the three wolven, or rather...two. There was just a lot of splashing and whining from the third. "No...MAIA!" He called, before finally he skid to a halt just outside of the water's edge. Thinking quickly, he leaned forward to grasp the nape of Bali's neck and pull her back from the hole in the ice. After doing so, he would mimick this action and snatch up Cyrus. Once they would be deposited, assuming that all went according to plan, he would move in to aid Maia. Each foot was taken lightly. There would be no room for error. His weight was also needing to be distributed evenly...for if it wasn't, the ice would surely break beneath his massive bulk. If, again, all went according to plan, he would lean forward - his head hovering over the hole in the ice, before abruptly submerging it beneath the water in search of his beloved Maia. Hopefully, he'd find her own nape, or something close to that, and be able to haul her over the edge and into safety...If not..well, he'd act accordingly.

Nirikka nodded at the male before his sudden snarl, when wolfwing, the silent one, mentioned he heard splashes from the river and Lupin running outside she followed, her paws gently crushing the snow beneath her paws, she reached the river and stopped to watch the Alpha help the others, her light weight might be able to help, [b["Sir! is there any way I can help!"[/b] she called to Lupin to see if she could help waiting eagerly for his answer.

Nirikka could see the blurred shape of something through the ice, using her feathered wing she brushed the snow covering the ice away, revealing the shape of the submerged Alphess, lets hope they could get her out in time.

Bali was in a mixture of thoughts when Maia had ordered her away and then the ice had suddenly broken. Lupin had suddenly appeared and hauled her and Cyrus away from the shaft of broken ice. She looked back and forward in a stress of confusion. She could see Maia's form underneath a thin layer of ice and without thinking she raced up to it, scraping over it gently with her paw until it faded away. Maia had a sense to be able to see their auras so maybe she'd notice Bali's aura running circles around this newly formed hole. 'Please please please let her notice' Bali thought desperately. "Alpha, she's over here!" Bali yelled over the noise of the thundering river. She hoped that he'd hear her as she didn't want to leave Maia. She couldn't leave Maia. Wouldn't!

Maia saw the Aura's above her, recognizing the looming blackness of her beloveds.
She tried her hardest to paddle up towards the newly formed hole Bali had made, the one she fell through having begun sealing up.
Her muscles and joints were freezing, the cold water sapping all her strength. She was not far from the surface, able to see Lupin waiting to grab her when he strength gave out. Bubbles issued from her mouth in her panic as her legs ceased paddling and she began to sink.

Lupin was almost in his own state of panic. Of course, as soon as Bali had called to him, he was dashing over as carefully as possible to aid in whatever endeavors he could. As for Nirikka, he paid no attention to her. Right now, his mind was clouded with worry...and if you looked at him closely, his aura was starting to lighten just a bit - back to normal. It seemed that his worry for his mate was calming the beast within. "Maia!!" He snarled, before turning towards Bali. "Stay here. My body temperature is unnaturally higher than other wolven due to my heritage. I am going to go in and pull her up. Do not worry about me. I'll be fine. However, as soon as you see Maia, get someone to aid you in pulling her up." As soon as this was said, he dug at the hole to widen it...and once this was accomplished, he leapt in.

Maia heard a splash reverberate through the water and she managed to get a brief glimpse of an aura approaching.... a black one, but the large patch near the heart glowed pink.
Lupin... She thought, trying to reach out with a paw, but her body was so cold it would not do as she willed it too.

Cyrus sat on Bali's shoulders, staring at the rippling surface as the alpha disappeared.
"He is cool..." He said, too young to understand the gravity of the situation.
"Why can't we go swimming too Bali?" He asked, tilting a head.

Bali glanced at the pup momentarily, "Just stay there. Don't move. please" she said before turning her head in the direction of the new fae. "Where're Wolfwing and Ahnghel?" she asked automatically, tail between her legs but head high; she needed to calm so that she could think.

Lupin swam further, deeper, until finally he was almost on top of her. He lurched forward, widening his large maw to grasp gently at her nape. Once this was accomplished, he'd kick mightily and propel himself upward. Thankfully, the heat surrounding him was able to prevent the fierce cold from harming him too thoroughly...but if he was in there for TOO long, he'd probably freeze just like Maia. Either way, he eventually found the hole and maneuvered himself so he was positioned below her, in order to push her up and through the hole...If this was accomplished, he'd follow and immediately settle himself next to her - knowing that his body heat would be needed to revive the most likely hypothermic female.

"I am right here, Bali..." Ahnghel stated before landing next to her..and observing the hole in the ice with avid worry in his eyes. "Did Lupin..." He murmered, keeping a careful and intense eye on the the hole in the ice.

The moment her head was pushed above the water Maia inhaled deeply, coughing and spluttering. Large amounts of water coming out of her lungs.
She walked a short way from the hole and slipped on the ice, falling into a laid down position, she rolled onto her side, finding she could breath easier that way.
Soon a familiar warmth came by her side and began to warm her, but she was so cold.
She also noted the absence of any light body's. Had she lost her ability to the cold water? No, likely more that she was too tired and ill to be able to focus enough to see them.

Bali didn't have time to answer Ahnghel. Maia and Lupin were back on-top of the ice before she could move her mouth. She instantly got to her belly and crawled over to be on the otherside of Maia. She moved her shoulders enough that she could grab Cyrus and pull him off her. She put him down between her front paws - putting one of them over him to make sure he didn't move

Nirikka gave a deep sigh of relief as the Alphess was pulled from the water, at least she was safe...

Ahnghel also let forth a sigh of relief before quickly wandering over and offering up his warmth. However, a quick snarl from Lupin told him to back off. As for Bali, he did just about the same thing....

Lupin was a protective wolven, and when his mate was in trouble...he felt that it was HIS job to protect and strengthen her...Therefore, it was HIS job to warm her up in this situation. His ears pinned back, feeling especially jumpy and chilled courtesy of the dip he took, and lifted a leg to place over his beloved Maia. Then, he simply rested his head over her neck in order to emenate more warmth...Hopefully this would warm her enough so she could come back to the den.

Maia shivered violently even with her mates warmth. She heard his snarls and in any normal circumstance she would have scolded him for being so jealous, but she was to cold.
"S...sorry.." She stuttered, crunching her legs up close to her body in an attempt to be rid of the cold that had seeped into her bones.
