Usually Bali would have whined and moved but in all truth she hadn't heard Lupin. And plus, she wasn't close enough to do anything anyway. She lay a little off to the side to give them space. "Must get back to the den" she whined softly (again, not because of Lupin) to the pup, picked him up by the scruff of his neck and walking carefully across the ice. Sure, he was a bit bigger then the average pup that she'd ever have considered carrying by the scruff but it was a certain thing; after what had just happened she wasn't going to risk his leg getting caught in the ice or a pot hole.

Nirikka walked off to the side to give Lupin a clear path back to the den, she began to slowly walk back.

Wolfwing stayed nearby the alpha and alphess, regal head raised high as his golden eyes checked around them for the slightest of disturbances. The light bouncing off his pale blue feathers, giving them a bright sheen.
He knew better then to approach the alpha now, noticing his less the friendly warnings to the other members of the pack, so at a distance he stayed, watchful.
"It may be warmer back at the den Alpha." He said gently from his place.

Lupin remained where he was for a little while longer, casting a glance towards Wolfwing when he spoke. Ears pinned back upon his head, though he knew that what Wolfwing spoke was the truth. However, he did not know if Maia was up to it yet. Nudging the side of her neck gently, he'd murmer some soft reassurences. "Are you well enough to make it back to the den? It is warmer there, Love."

Ahnghel decided to remain at Wolfwing's side...feathered wings pressed firmly against his spine as he awaited further orders.

Maia 'looked' up at her mate with the smallest of pitiful whines and nodded.
"I'm OK dearest.... just a little cold."

Wolfwing watched the alpha's leaving and frowned lightly, looking back at his winged fellow.
"I wonder if they know that they are the only breeding pair of wolves for miles... i've flown all around here and there is not another pack in sight." He looked a little perplexed at this.

[Sparkles]

Bali, however, had overheard this last line from wolfwing. "I... know why" she murmured, through a mouthful of pup fur. She then got a small amount of snow spat on top of her muzzle from a branch above her head, and sneezed.

Dark-Scar stamped through the trees, his large, bat-like wings dragging on the ground below him, creating an eerie sound like something hissing as it moved slowly along. A small rabbit bounded along and stopped in front of him, Dark-Scar glared at it before growling brutally, showing his teeth, stained red with blood and ground sharp. He swung one of his mighty paws, sending the rabbit flying into a tree, he "roared" in a sense and swung his head upward, catching a falcon swooping low into the forest. Scar crushed his teeth into the birds neck, an awful screech shot into the forest as the falcon flopped, dead in Scar's jaws, he dropped the falcon and began ripping flesh away, not bothering to take much time chewing, he'd finished the bird in less than 40 seconds, 45 tops.

(by the way, he isn't nicknamed Scar it's just to make posting easier)

A young wolf, slender in figure yet strong boned, awoke at the sudden rouse that started what is going on? she got up and walked out of the cave, seeing the alpha and aplhess out in the cold she raced to see if they needed any help, seeing the alpha leave suddenly, she decided he best be left to chill out a while, she walked towards the Alphess, remaining at a fair distance out of respect "ma'am is there anything you require? should you need help back to the den?" She looked thoughtfully towards her leader, golden eyes glimmering. "should you need Kanimuki, I will be waiting right here" Muki often spoke in that way, speaking her own name instead of the pronouns others would use. her ears pricked up hearing a deafening roar not far from where they were "what was that?! did you hear it wolfwing, sir?" she said, turning her head to the winged wolf behind her.

Nirikka, not far from the spot where the alphess was, also heard the raucous noise from the forest, soon after hearing a great screech "My lord! could it be him?" she had remembered when she was being attacked by the hunters years ago, they had suddenly yelled out, which was what had caused her to look back, not noticing the waterfall. that roar she had heard and the monstrous beast she had seen, 'had it all been for real?' she had wondered all those years, and yet she heard that roar again...no, it hadn't been a dream...it WAS real, there really was a monster out there, and he was HERE, she had to warn the Alpha. Nirikka ran towards the Alpha as he left for the den, running as fast as she could "Alpha!" she called, hoping for all reasons he would at least stop to listen.

Lupin had been travelling back to the cave, pausing every so often to wait for his beloved. However, Kanimuki's sudden appearence made him halt in his tracks, elongated ears perking at the noise off in the distance.

"What is it, Kanimuki..?" He inquired abruptly, hoping to gain some form of explanation pertaining to her outburst. After all, she seemed to be in a state of panic...and he intended to figure out why. "What are you going on about? Is something wrong..?" Lupin questioned, tensing suddenly as he started to gaze about the region. Spines lifted along his back as he readied himself...as though there was someone about to attack him.

Ahnghel, meanwhile, kept a fair distance between himself and Lupin and Maia. He remained with Wolfwing and Bali...though he did manage to witness Kanimuki's sudden arrival. Curiosity was instantly piqued, and because of this, he darted forward in an effort to listen in - hoping to figure out and piece together what was going on. Such a big day...

Muki turned to the Alpha, ears twitching as she listened, just in case the owner of the roaring voice approached the den. "sir, that roar...it sounded from the trees over there!" she flicked her head towards the trees not far from where they were "It could be an intruder, sir" She looked back to the Alpha, holding a steady gaze with him. "Kanimuki awaits your commands, Alpha Lupin, sir!" Muki bowed her neck low and closed her eyes in a bow, awaiting her leader's response. A loud yelp of distress flew across the field, causing Muki to turn her golden eyes to the fleeing form of Nirikka "Miss, what is the matter?!" Muki called after her. Nirikka fled to the bushes crouching down panting and shrieking "no! no, don't let him near me! never! I'll never let him take me! don't let him take me!' she lay shivering in the bushes, her blue eyes glassy with 'tears' of shock. Muki, quickly barking an apology to th Alpha, ran over to the bushes at a speed and stood beside the yelping wolfess "Miss Nirikka, what ever is the matter? don't let who take you?" Muki was utterly confused, what was she talking about?

Bali's eyes darted around in all directions, while the pace of her heart started to increase. She whined a little, very softly; not wanting to draw attention to herself. She wanted very badly to run into the den and hide in the furthermost corner, but suppressed the earge and instead she lay down where she was and crawled closer to the wolf who was closest; Wolfwing. She lay her head tenderly between her paws; her ears flat back against her skull and her eyes wary as she watched the pup and wolfess.
