As Eliah went to leave, Aloysius made his way over to stand behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Eliah, I am eternally sorry for letting you of all people down, Rome shall forget this but I never will. I hope that you find happiness again one day"

Eliah paused for a moment to listen to his now calm words, but shoved his hand off her shoulder. Dropping the key to the door on the floor she opened it up and began to walk out, slowly begining to run. Turning the corner to head to the emperor's hall. This day was going to slow.. and everyone was rushing her to get over this tragety like it had no effect on her. How she hated her life right now, her future was with the second born son who as already ordered around 3 other wives, who did as he pleased in any way.

Stepping away from Eliah, Aloysius watched her race away down the hall, as she disappeared around the corner he turned back to the bench to sleep off of the rest of his drunken state. Slipping once again into unconciousness he dreams were once again plauged by the past days events...

Once entering the hall, the whole crowd was in an arguement. She went to go stand to the side but was quickly noticed by the Emperor. "Ah! my child, come!" He signalled her over in front of him. Walking slowly she took her bow and remained head down to the floor. The crowd went to silence. "His death was a great Tragety, yet Rome shall preveil. To all the court before us there shall be a new rule as forth the second full moon" Eliah cringed at the statement and began to quiver, closing her eyes in pray. The emperor continued. "Be that, my second born Prince Razlilsus shall be wed to Lady Eliah to take our place high upon Rome." The crowd roared with agreement and celebration but Eliah raises her head shaking it in disapproval chanting her prayer out loud. She ran up the steps to kneel at the Emperor's feet. "Please.. I wish no part of this rule nor I want no longer the Empire of Rome." Begging for her to be free of her vow. Her tears fludding her eyes. "Nonsence.. you be just still in grief." The Emperor raised his hands in rule, gathering more cheers from the court. Eliah was picked up from the floor by a few woman but shoved them away and pushed her way to exit the hall. the door closed behind her before a man of great build and strenght grabbed her by the wrists and pressed her back upon the white walls. Wanting to scream but the prince's mouth already against her lips, holding her neck so she couldn't pull away.

Aloysius was awoken from his nightmares by a crowds cry and the slamming of doors, as in his current state being sensitive to even the slightest noise he got off of the bench to make his way back to his appointed quarters. Walking down the hall, from his position far away he was the prince Razlilsus in a passionate embrace, he presumed it to be one of his wives.

Eliah moved her head to the side to take a breath, the prince moving down her neck with his lips returning to her's every now and then. Pushing the side of him out the way, she went to head to the gardens, though could see Razlilsus following her closely. Ignoring him, she walked quickly down the hall.

Seeing the the prince Razlilsus was infact romancing Eliah, Aloysius made his way over there, as the lady broke free of Razlilsus' grasp and follwed closely by him Aloysius changed his course to intermean with the pair. Beating both of them to the door he with drew his sword and rushed Eliah outside, blocking the prince from exiting he stood defiant, "Ah captain, it is you I should be thanking for my new bride to be, fiesty one isnt she?" The princes snug grin was evil, to put it lightly, "She is not your bride yet, until then you shall keep your distance" "We were merely going to take a stroll about the gardens together" "Some how I do not believe you" Seeing a harem of the princes wifes he smugly grinned back to him, "Your wives are not looking pleased with you for taking another" The prince did not respond, he just walked off muttering under his breath. With drawing his sword, Aloysius went outside to look for Eliah, finding her beside the fountain again he stopped some distance away, "Are you hurt?"

" no" rubbing the top of her arm that was pinned on the wall. She sat on a angle away from Aloysuis, she grabbed a bunch of her hair and ran her hands down it to calm her. "I didn't need your help, i was fine."

Taking a seat on the fountain so that his back was to hers, he held his hand on the top of the water, "You may not of needed my help, but so long as I am captain my main cause for concern is for the nobles of Rome" Turning his neck to view her he saw the last remaining light shining through her veil giving her an angelic glow.

Eliah pushed her hair behind her ear and noticed the small ripples in the water. She silenced for a moment, figuring out whether to say something. She stuttered a bit but it eventually came out, enough though she didn't want to say it. "Thankyou..."

"You have no need to thank me, now or ever.." As she nowed seemed out of harms way, Aloysius stood to take his leave, "I shall leave you now if you do not require my presence."

Eliah looked beyond her veil to watch Aloysuis leave, turning back to look at the setting sun that lowered behind the hills. The sool winds were coming in so Eliah went to go back inside. This day held so many confusing events that made her future that more different to the one she was expecting. So the sun finally set on this long day that haunted Rome and Eliah. Rome was never going to be the same again.

Many days passed since returning home from the Rome victory, Aloysius had spent the days in various depths of drunkenness, so much so that he did not know how many days had passed. He spent most of his time traveling to and from his home to the tavern, at varing stages he took the liberty of using a wall for a place of rest, or the back roads of Rome. By the 3rd time waking up in an unfamiliar place, Aloysius realised that it had been time enough and so went in the direction he thought led to a bath house. Many hours later he had found the great bath house that all nobles used and was on his way to the palace, he had neglected his duty for long enough.

Eliah had woken up earlier that morning, though stayed in her bed for hours just looking up at the ceiling. Turning to look at Razlilsus who slept beside her she gave a sigh before pulling back the linen sheets. Carefully trying not to wake him she slowly placed on her dress and her broach on the side. His other wives had slept in their chambers unaware that the prince had snuck into Eliah room, but then again neither did she. Standing out on the balcony she looked at the sun move above Rome, it soon coming to life. She felt a small tug of her wrist but remained where she was. "Why didn't you wake me?" He brushed away her wavy hair from her neck and ran his lips over it. Eliah snarled secretively and use her other hand to make him let go of her wrist. "I've been awake for a while, i didn't want to disturb you"
It has been a while now since Damitisus death and every day for Eliah coming towards her wedding was getting worse and worse. Spending most of her time in her room and in the garden though everytime she thought she was alone Razlilsus would pop around the corner and grab tight to her wrist.

Aloysius soberly made his way up the stairs of the palace, each break in the steps seemed to make the task every lasting and continuous, when finally he reached the top, the large wooden doors before him opened into the entrance hall. As the militaries captain he was allowed access into all rooms, bar the bed chambers of course, as it was early in the day he made his way to the kitchens in search of food. Arriving at his destination he was greeted upon his arrival by many of the staff, leaning on one of the benches he chatted amongst his old friends, he did not even have to ask for food and received a platter of seasonal fruits that the empress had not wanted.
