Simone squealed with delight and jumped off of the bed. "You're so cute! Hey Daddy, can we keep her? Pleeease?" she knelt down infront of the wolf.
Bai Hu and John, on the other hand, seemed to have momentarily gone into shock. Oh no, wait - they were doing that thing where their eyes went blank again. Bai Hu suddenly nodded to John, "My Lord." He jumped off of the bed and transformed into a human. He was not quite as tall as John. He was a young chinese man, probably in his early thirties. His eyes shone with mischief and his neat but scruffy black hair was close to falling over his eyes, but not quite.
The black goo was gone, he was completely clean now. He walked around the bed and looked down at Mai with a small cheeky smile.
"Bai Hu. No. Back here now." John said in a reprimanding voice.
Bai Hu sighed in a disappointed fashion and went to grab a chair from a desk (covered with crayons, paper and oil pastels). He turned it and sat down, beside John on his chair.
"Have you-"
"Do shut up tiger, or I'll personally take the privilege of making you" John had lost the threatening tone in his voice and now spoke much more casually, not even looking at Bai.
The Tiger (now human) just smirked.
John studied only Kai. "We can hear what you say through thought, because you are in my presence" he hesitated for a moment but gave in. "If you were to leave then you would no longer be able to"

Oh, cool... i don't mind i'm pretty good at expressing what i want on paper. She gave a casual shrug, still not quite sure whether she should be thinking anything just in case they hear something private.
Mai however, had taken an immediate shine to Simone, even more then she had before, her canine senses turning her in to an adorable loving creature.
She graced little Simone with a gentle lick before moving forward to lay on her back in the girl's lap, looking for a belly tickle.
"So we can hear her thoughts while she's around you? That's cool."

Kai pulled her sunglasses out of her pocket and put them on, the shining, swirling colours were beginning to irritate her a little. She gave a small, tender smile down at Mai and Simone... it looked just like when Natalya used to play with Mai.

John nodded, "Yes. For about twenty meters. Now... I wish to show you something before I go into any information about my family and I" he glanced down at Simone, who was tickling Mai's belly; looking very thrilled that there was a 'puppy' in the room. And that it was paying attention to her.
His gaze traveled up to Kai, "If I am right, you should be able to choose who you let here your thoughts. So, try to speak to me... and me only. Bai Hu, tell me if you hear her"

Kai focused her eyes on John, concentrating hard on only him, she found her mind wondering ever so briefly and quickly caught herself up before her thoughts revealed something she'd rather keep quiet.
Alright then... She said, having little else to say.

Mai meanwhile, was panting as Simone rubbed her belly. She'd found the spot, so one hind leg batted gently with the motion.
"wwaaahhhhhhh... that's the spot..." She moaned.

Bai Hu continued to watch Mai with interest. John's eyes went blank.
'Well done. But don't be afraid that I will hear anything that you don't with to disclose. You do have control over which thoughts you turn into words. If you don't direct it, it broadcasts. If you do, they can only hear what you would say, as if you were speaking"
Bai Hu, suddenly, couldn't help himself. He jumped down onto the ground next to Simone and scratched Mai gently (with claws that were now once again on his hands, that had paterned themselves in his fur) with the tips of his claws, just behind her ears.

Mai seemed to melt right in to the scratch her body going jelly like.
"You... cunning little.... awwwww...." She couldn't finish her sentence, her tongue lolling around her eye lids dropped with enjoyment.
"Take advantage of my easily pleased canine mind any time..." She murred as he scratched.

Kai was distracted by Mai only briefly before she turned her attention back to John.
Are you a tiger too? She asked, focusing on directing to thought just to him... not that she would have really had to worry about Mai anyway, as she was too preoccupied.

Bai Hu's eyes lit up. John's face shifted in his direction and he tiger stopped and looked over at John. "What? It's not like she's complaining. I'm not hurting her or anything"
John raised his eyebrow, unimpressed by the tiger's excuse. Bai Hu groaned and stopped, leaning back against the bed, his claws retracting and turning back to fingers again.

'No. I can not turn into a tiger... which I am greatful of' he added the last bit with tone that sounded as if he could be smirking; but no one would have known, as his face was blank, his irises and pupils white.
"I would like to ask you both something... Have you ever heard of a place called the celestial plane?" this was directed mainly at Mai [his eyes are back now... you'll get used to it eventually. His eyes go blank when he talks through thoughts, and normal when he isn't...], though he was still half facing Kai.

Mai gave a small whine when Bai stopped scratching her eyes and rolled herself into a seated position to face John.
"Was the pope catholic? Of course i've heard of the celestial plane... though my people used to call it the spirit world.... let me know if we're on the same page here." She said, titling her head in an adorable fashion as she playfully batted a paw at Simone.

Kai shook her head though, she had no spiritual tuition and had never heard of such a place.

I was now John's turn to 'not be able to help himself.'
"It is a spirit world, In a form. It is where celestial beings, like myself an Bai Hu usually live... though, Bai Hu does sill live there. I, do not.. at the moment, because I have Simone here"
He directed his thought to everyone in the room besides Simone, 'A child can not travel to the Celestial Plane without it's mother' his voice was blank, but Bai Hu looked at him wearily.
'I plan to raise Simone into a celestial before I go back'

But why black? Kai directed her thought to John only.
I always thought celestial beings would be white or something... She looked down again at her friend Mai. Mai's aura was hard to read, it's colours always changing, as if with her friends moods.

Mai however was busy watching Bai curiously.

The tiger noticed this and gave Mai a huge, dazzling smile; reaching out to scratch her again.

John didn't notice this time. He voiced his answer aloud for Mai also, but it was for Kai. "Because I am Yin. I am Black." he said simply. "Bai Hu is mostly Yang... which I have none of"
"I hope he hasn't tried to introduce himself yet. He has over 100 different titles" Bai Hu didn't look over at John.
John, whether he meant to or not, laughed, his eyes lighting up briefly.
'It is my pleasure to meet the both of you' he was now amused, and it was evident in his 'voice', 'I am Xuan Wu. Dark Lord of the Northern Heavens'

Mai gave a small whine at the smile and moved closer, still ensuring to bat Simone with her tail in a playful way as she leaned into the scratch from Bai.
"Mmmm.... you know how to impress a girl don't cha?" She said playfully.

Kai gave a awkward whistle at this and a small smile, a gesture she hadn't done in some time.
Wow, fancy. LORD huh? I feel small and insignificant in contrast. She made a chuckling gesture, though no audible laugh could be heard.

John was about to reply to Kai, and Bai was about to say something to Mai; just as John heard what the wolf had said.
"Bai Hu! Attend! NOW!" John stood up and vanished. In fact, he'd just moved so fast that o one would be able to track.
Simone had caught none of this, as she was feeling sleepy again and her head was bopping against her chest grogilly.
Bai Hu rolled his eyes and shrugged at Mai in a very rebellious way, tickling her quickly under the chin before standing up and disappearing also.

Mai blinked almost in a disappointed fashion.
"Aww i was enjoying that scratch..."
Kai shrugged, figuring that she was now unable to communicate telelpathically, her gestures were trying to say: I was enjoying that conversation.

'While you are in the apartment, it doesn't mater how close I am' John told her.

Then, they were back. The tiger looked a bit more subdued now, but not enough to stop him sitting back on the floor where he'd just left from.
John, also, was back where he had been. He planed to tell as much as he would allow them to hear now, so that they understood. But, Kai would have to inform Mai later, as Bai Hu was back to his old tricks, hands behind his back, leg crossed, but grinning all the same.
'Where was I?... Oh, yes. Right. You can just call me John if you wish. There are 4 celestial winds. North, east,south, and west. Ba Hu is the Western Wind. I am the Northern. He can create, control, and manipulate metal. I can got he same with water; as I am water' he paused, and his eyes focused again. He gave an apologetic smile, "Am I confusing you yet?"
