Mai sat forward eagerly at Michael's question. Kai however stared out the window, watching the world go by from behind tinted glass. For some reason she was feeling crushed... enclosed... like the world was suffocating her... and something didn't feel right.

"I'm taking all of you to the Eiffel Tower!" Simone exclaimed. Micheal grinned, Leo cringed. He then lent over and whispered to Kai when Simone had changed topic to the museum and her favourite animal. Uncle Bai was her favourite animal.
"You don't have to go if you don't feel up to it. I'm sure Kwan Yin won't mind."
The limo then stopped. They were on the side of a tucked away cottage. surrounded by small shrubs. Um... right here sir?" the driver asked Leo uncertainly, "Are you sure that he wouldn't be more suited to go to a hospital?"
"The lady who we are meeting up with is a doctor."
That shut him up, "Yes sir" he waited until everyone was out and then left. Micheal looked over, puzzled.
Leo shrugged, "This cottage doesn't exist. Only we can see it."
Micheal grinned.
Then the door to the small home opened up slightly and a slim built woman came walkimg out. The air about her was soothing and kind. Loving and hopeful. One couldn't help but get their spirit's lifted.
"Anty Kwan!" SImone let go of John's hand and raced across the pebble path into the lady;s waiting arms. She word a lihjt blue dress, delicate fabric, but very modest.

Mai stepped out of the car and turned to offer Kai a hand out to. Kai tenderly accepted the hand and stepped out, tugging her glasses closer to her eyes. She'd rather not have to look anyone straight in the eyes.
Mai clicked her tongue at her friend as they walked forward to stand with the others.

Kwan Yin picked up Simone in her arms and gave her a tender cuddle. She then placed her down.
"K-KwanY.... Kwan Yin" Xuan Wu looked as if he would fell back into sleep, or another form of unconscious at any moment.
"Ah Wu, go inside now. I will be with you within the next few minutes. Leo and Micheal, go with him and make sure that he does not break anything in the process. Please"
Micheal didn't even ask her how she knew his name.
Once all three of them were inside the house, Kwan Yin turned to the girls, "Who is this Simone?" she asked, a kind smile ever present.
"Kai and Mai." Simone blurted out, her small hand tucked inside of Kwan Yin's hand.
"Ah, yes, it is a pleasure to meet you. I would enjoy it greatly if the two of you would look after little Simone for now. Do not worry" she added, "the effects that Ah Wu will have had on you a few days ago will be back now in my presence. Also, as you will note, Kai; the demon has left you alone. There are guards all around here. Celestial barriers that have been formed over centuries. Do try to relax. And come inside." she gestured to the door.

Mai glanced side long at Kai and raised an eyebrow with a smile.
The abilities of these people never cease to amaze do they Mai? Kai thought to her friend as they entered the house. Within Kai felt a safeness and calm she'd not really felt for some time

"Leo will be taking a rest; and I believe that Micheal will be visiting his father" Kwan Yin said once they were in the cozy living area. "Please stay here, but, It may be best to leave him to his fuming when he returns; the two of them don't get along very well." she sighed and departed into a hall off to the side and then through a door; an obvious 'click' locking it behind her.
Then, Simone was by Kai and Mai, "Can we go to the eiffel tower?" she pleaded.

Mai looked down and knelt by Simone, giving a gentle smile.
"We're not supposed to leave here, your aunt just told us not to. It wouldn't be safe for Kai." She gestured over her shoulder to Kai, who stood with her back facing them, staring blankly, her arms folded.

Simone giggled, "Aunty Kwan isn't my real aunty, you know?" He eyes were wide in a 'factual' way. "Neither is Uncle Bai..." she screwed up her nose, "Eww. If he was then Micheal would be my cousin... That's just gross." she looked around, clearly already being distracted. She went and sat down on the couch; where moments before, Bai Hu had appeared.
"He is a fool for leaving it this long."
Simone looked up at the person next to her and her face lit up, "Uncle Bai!" she justed into his lap, making him grin, but wince a little for where her knees had almost landed.

Mai and Kai turned in unison and Mai smiled.
"Hey Tiger. How's life?" Mai asked, placing her hands on her hips and lifting one eyebrow slowly, a small and cheeky smile gracing her lips.
Kai however, was curious now, so no smile lit her face, instead it was darkened by a questioning frown.
Shouldn't have left WHAT so long? She 'asked', enjoying again the ability to be understood.

Bai grinned back menacingly at Mai.
He then looked over at Mai and his expresion became softer, 'He's like a batery really' he smirked, 'Not changing to true form drains all of his energy. He would be able to get it again if he was to change... but when he does, he will lose himself. It couls be up to two hundred years until he can come back again. He won't do it, Simone still needs him.' he ruffed up SImone's hair and she narrowed her eyes at him.
'Don't exclude me Uncle Bai.' she frowned.
he gave a hearty laugh, "I'm not doing it intentionaly My Dear. I was just teling these two how your dad and I used to have fights with the phoenix and the dragon. Two on two"
Her eyes widened.
"If we won, we had control of the East and the South while they were gone. If we lost, we'd be looking up into the ugly face of the judge"

Kai's heart sagged as her eyes travelled over to Simone as Bai ruffled her hair.
Simone still needs him.. She thought, hoping she'd kept the thought to herself but, being emotionally fragile for that moment may have opened it up for Bai to hear. Do i still need Natalya too? She quickly stopped the train of thought and built back up her mental barriers to keep her thoughts to herself.
So how is he to regain his strength then? She asked, remembering another question as she did so. And what's the matter with Leo? His Aura.. well.... She trailed off and hugged a hand to her chest.
Mai meanwhile had gotten bored, and after one slightly flirtatious over-the-shoulder glance at Bai she went over to a window and peered out of it.
"I've never been to France." She randomly stated, though it would soon become apparant that the suggestion was well... strongly suggestive. "I'd love to be shown around it some time."

Bai didn't look up. Apparently, he 'hadn't' heard the flirtations tone that Mai was using. He made an 'mmhm' noise, distracted by a thread in the couch that he picked at with a claw; making it quite a fair amount larger.
But, of coarse, Simone HAD heard, "We're going to the Museum, and the tower, and the... um... the Louve and stuff tomorrow!" she said excitedly.
"I do not know about Leo. If he does not want others knowing about it, then i have no need or reason to pry."

Kai nodded in acceptance, noting he'd eluded to answer her question about John, she chose to give it a wide berth and crossed the room to lean against a wall, taking out her sketchbook. Another drawing had come to pass, the strange Battery image she'd seen.
Mai turned, showing no sign of being perturbed by Bai's apparent lack of notice. Instead she smiled softly at Simone.
"That should be lots of fun, huh Kai?" She said, looking over at her friend, who looked up and closed her sketchbook giving a fairly hesitant nod.

Bai finally looked up sheepishly, shifting his weight to cover the gauge that he'd just made in the couch. "You two will have fun. Of coarse, I may have to escort the two of you, as Leo won't be able to go, and Micheal isn't trained enough. If that's OK with the two of you ladies?"
"I can look after them. You're not coming!!!" - Micheal yelling down the hall
'How do you suppose to protect my daughter?! He is coming Micheal!' - Xuan Wu sounding drugged but authoritative.
'AH WU! IF YOU WANT ME TO HELP, YOU HAVE TO CO-OPERATE BY NOT USING IT UP AS I GIVE T TO YOU, SILLy OLD MAN!' - Kwan Yin, frustrated
'Sorry.' - Xuan Wu, apologetic
'STOP NOW!' - Kwan Yin

Kai blinked a little in the slightest of amusement at what was happening around her before she slid down the wall with a silent yawn and stretched, leaning her head back against the wall and closing her eyes briefly.
Mai however had to supress a giggle similar to Simone's before turning to Bai.
"I'm sure that, unlike everyone else it seems, we would not have a problem whether you can or not."
