[Tifa Lockhart]

"I don't feel the cold here." Edgeworth replied, turning the corner onto the brightly lit street that his apartment complex was on. "Your idea of 'cold' and mine are... quite different." The slightest hint of a smile appeared in the shadows dappled across his face by the street lamps. He paused again, not wishing them to drop back into that silence again.
"Thankyou..." The word came out stilted as always, "For coming to pick me up Wright."

Phoenix looked over at Edgeworth as he thanked him, still finding himself surprised hear the word 'thankyou' coming from Edgeworth.
"Of course, I'm just glad to have you back...maybe when I get my badge back we can face each other in court again? as much as I hate to say it, I suppose I've kind of missed having you yell insults at me from the Prosecutor's side of the courtroom!" he said, laughing.

Edgeworth allowed himself a little bit of a laugh at Phoenix's joke before he fell silent, ascending the steps towards the large revolving doors that were the entrance to his apartment complex.
"When you get your badge back we'll celebrate." He agreed gently, offering a small shaking smile, "I look forward to the absurdity your presence brings." He extended a hand to take his briefcase back from Phoenix.

Phoenix paused a moment, somewhat taken by surprise at Edgeworth's proposition, but after the short pause he smiled too and nodded "that's very kind of you, Edgeworth. thankyou" he said, handing the Briefcase to his friend. When Edgeworth said he was 'looking forward to the absurdity' Phoenix chuckled a bit, not sure whether to find that funny or insulting.
"well, I'll be sure to make our first case together more so, then, to make up for lost time!" he joked, looking back up at Edgeworth. "Well, I guess I'll see you around then?"

Edgeworth glanced towards the door behind him, a thoughtful expression crossing his face for a moment. He was glad Wright hadn't badgered him about what had been on his mind, so he decided it was best not to bring it up now.
"Goodnight, Wright. Safe trip home." He gave a small wave before he turned around and disappeared into the marble lobby of his building.

Phoenix returned the wave, yawning as Edgeworth disappeared. He turned around after a moment and started to walk home, too tired to bother thinking about what he had forgotten to ask him about.
He reached home not too long later, walking inside and waving a brief greeting to Maya, the only one still awake.
Trucy had gone to bed a while ago, whilst Maya had stayed awake watching her show. Phoenix went straight to his room and pretty much flopped on his bed as soon as he changed into his PJs.

Apollo was awake bright and early fixing himself some breakfast. There were a lot of things on his mind, and he'd found himself fishing out an old file from Phoenix's shelves, labelled DL-6. He was going through the newspaper clippings and reports that it contained, his curiosity rising the more and more he went through it.
Well... it explains a bit... but i still have a lot of questions...

((For the sake of the RP, perhaps have Phoenix wake earlier than usual or something.))

Phoenix found himself awake early that morning, not really for any real reason and to his surprise aswell. He got up and dressed himself, walking out into the main room, finding Apollo still home.
"oh, hey Apollo...what're you doing?" he walked closer, noting that he was reading a case-file of Phoenix's...and not just any one.
"APOLLO! did I give you permission to look at my case-files?!" he scolded, folding his arms. "just how much have you read...?" he growled, glaring at the boy. He had no right to intrude on a case he hadn't been involved in...ESPECIALLY DL-6. Edgeworth's case.

Apollo finished the mouthful he was chewing as he set down the paper he'd been reading.
"Actually you gave me permission to go through all your case files remember?" He offered, quirking an eyebrow, "And I was just curious." He took another bite and chewed thoughtfully before he continued. "I don't suppose you notice... but Mr. Edgeworth has a habit when he's talking about you." He small knowing quirk appeared on Apollo's lips. "He winces, and brushes a hand on his chest." Apollo mimicked the gesture, brushing his hand just over his heart in an absent way.

Phoenix shook his head "no, I haven't ever noticed that...remember I don't have the Perception abilities you do." he sighed "just don't discuss any of this with him...he doesn't like to talk about DL-6" he looked thoughtful a moment "though I don't understand why he would have any sort of habit while talking about me..." he murmured.
"so just why did you want to know about DL-6?"

Apollo paused in his reading and fixed his eyes straight on Phoenix, "I wanted to understand." He said, putting all the pieces of paper back in the file and closing it, "Why he thinks so highly of you." There was a quirk on Apollo's lips then, "I think i get it now. After all, it takes someone special to have an effect on someone as.... protected, as Mr. Edgeworth."

Phoenix blinked, staring at Apollo "hm...I never really thought of that...but I mean we ARE childhood friends, we've known each other for a long time..." he said, looking back to the boy. "I guess I'm just lucky, perhaps..." he smiled then, unfolding his arms and standing upright again.
"just be careful of what you're snooping in, alright?" he walked to the kitchen to get himself some breakfast.

Apollo waited until Phoenix was long gone from the room before he reopened the DL-6 case file, flicking through a few things before pocketing a piece of paper obscurely.
"Alright, well. I'm off to court. Don't get in to too much trouble while i'm gone Mr. Wright!" He called, putting the case file back on its shelf before he grabbed his brief case and disappeared out the front door.

((You could have Nick pick up a case or something and have him go down to the prosecutor's office to ask some questions or something like that if you want.))

Phoenix loitered a while to kill some time before he had to leave. He grabbed his Briefcase from his room and left, knowing that Maya and Trucy probably wouldn't be up until much later he left a note reminding them where he went.
He walked to the bus stop and after a short wait and a short bus-ride he arrived at the court hall for the bar. He walked into the room and sat down to wait for the writing part of the bar exam to begin.

Edgeworth had spent most of the night when he should have been sleeping thinking about Phoenix and his re-taking the bar exam. Some confusing feelings were whirling around in his head, namely the overwhelming sense of relief that his long time rival had finally decided to put his bitterness aside and return to law. The sun had come up and Miles still hadn't managed to get any sleep.
Sighing he sat up, turning to look out the window at the morning glow that bathed his seventh story view of the world. "Maybe i'll..." He mused, climbing from bed and moving to fetch one of his suits.

He left his apartment and went down to get his red sports car, heading off to the courthouse.
