Pirates

((I actually kind of like Kasha's idea. oO; I mean...it would make it more interesting if some of the pirates and traders had to quickly escape so they wouldn't go under with the ship. T'would make it more....suspenseful I guess would be the word. >>; That's just me though.))

((Alrighty then, so i'll go))

Kaine heard the explosion and span "What in the name of.... Slade! What's going on!" A combination of effort and pain sweat rolled down his face as he helped Jake place the last board. Suddenly there was a groan and he felt the ship sag.
"O god... Everyone! Off the ship now! Back to the Wave-Walker!" He called above the goan of the sinking ship. "I must detch us from the trader ship or we'll sink to!" He leapt across the decks to the lever that unleashed the gripping blades. He pushed it stiffly with one hand but it wouldn't budge.

[Sparkles]

Kutuni looked up suddenly as she felt the boat lurch "oh my lord" she swollowed hard as she watched the ship sub=nking next to theres, and ever so slowly tilting the wave-walker.

Kaine through all of his weigt against the winch and it finally moved. The wind-walker rocked violently. Kaine ost his footing and tumbled overboard.

Zac had been helping tradrs onto the deck when he spotted Kaine pushing at the winch to detach the ship. When the ship rocked violently he gave a cheer only to cry out in horro as Kaine toppled overboard. "Man overboad!"He yelled rushing across the deck to peer into the water where Kaine fell in.

Slade:

Slade's eyes widened once again. "Dammit!!" He cursed as he ran to the side of the ship in which Zac was looking over and where Kaine fell in. He quickly glanced around and spotted a rope he could use, and, turning to Ramudi and Zac he said, "Both of you. Wouldja mind holdin' this rope in place so I cain get the Cap'n? Gotta be quick!" And, once this was said, he quickly tied himself up, made sure that the knot was tight enough, handed part of the rope to Zac and glanced to Ramudi. "I know askin' ye this is stupid. But please, how would ye like it if yer beloved Cap'n got thrown overboard?" And with that last remark, Slade jumped in after Kaine.

Ramudi:

Ramudi had half a mind to just let the Captain and the Lieutenant drown...but Slade's last few words hit home and they couldn't really steer a ship without a captain....though he could do so just fine. With a growl, Ramudi stood up and took his place behind Zac. "Kid, when we see that the pirate's got your Captain, I'll give you the signal to pull." His words were straight to the point and curt, but he meant well. After all, he was trying to imagine Daja being the one who fell overboard. This just made him want to help even more. Funny what a little motivation will do.

Jake:

Jake, meanwhile, had seen the event unfold and so he wanted to help too. He quickly ran up to Ramudi. "Um...I'm helpin' too, alright? After all, yer injured thanks tah me...it's only right if I help ya." Ramudi gave him a sharp glare, but he needed the help, so didn't disapprove. So, Jake took this as acceptance and started helping as well.

Kaine had sunk some way. For some reason it felt as if something was pulling him down, probably some kind of current... just his luck. He used his good arm to paddle as best he could but he was being dragged to much. Typical, the prime of my career and i'm going to drown.

[Cloud Strife]

Upon splashing into the depths below, he searched avidly for Kaine; and found him. Slade took a deep breath and dove beneath the surface of the water; plunging deeper and deeper until he finally grasped part of Kaine's shirt. Slade untied the rope from around his own waist and tied it around Kaine's; flashing a small grin in his direction. Once he completed this, he gave the rope a nice, strong, pull in an attempt to signal the others to start pulling as well.

It worked! Ramudi felt it and instantly began reeling them in. Every so often he'd bark out curt, blunt orders expecting them to be followed, and was surprised when the pirates did, in fact, listen to him. Especially the kid that stabbed him; Jake or whatever.

Jake simply followed orders when Ramudi gave them, pulling with all of his might until both the lieutenant and the Cap'n were safe on board. "Geez! Ye gave us a scare, Cap'n!" He breathed out; panting from the strenuous activity.

Slade was tired as well and lay sprawled out on the ship's deck; his eyes closed as breathing heavily. He almost looked like he was unconscious if not for the heavy breathing. Slade was also drenched and, as he lie there, he cracked an eye open. "Kaine, yer an idjit through n' through. Oi, clumsy..." And with that last, smart@$$ remark, Slade slipped into an unconscious sleep. He'd probably be out for awhile...Ah! He didn't say Cap'n like he usually did....It just proved how close of a friend he was to Kaine...He really was worried after all.

Ramudi didn't say anything as he watched them sprawled out on the deck. He simply sneered and glanced around the ship in hopes of seeing Daja. He hoped she was alright.

Kaine poked his tongue out at Slade as he foudn him not my fault He thought as he was dragged to the surface. He hauled himself upon the deck and spluttered water heaving up from his chest.
When he heard Slade's comment he grumbled and coughed "Idiot, perhaps. Clumsy... no" He panted punching Slade gently as he leant against the railings of the ship gasping.
He looked at the trader and gave a sly grin "Yer lookin' fer ye' lady friend aren't you trader?" He asked with a chuckle.
"She'll be over there somewhere mournin' 'er ship. The look ye' given me makes me think you think i'd kill 'er! I know how to be a gentlemen." He stood slowly and looked at Jake.
"'elp me move sleepin' beauty here" He said gesturing to Slade. "Not gonna leave a hero layin' on the deck." He hoisted Slades arm over his shoulder and waited for Jakes help.

Daja watched at the last bit of the mast sank to the reaches of Davie Jones. she was silently crying when she felt someone wayching her. turning around she saw Ramudi looking around for her. Her silent tears became to much for her to bear. She ran for all she was worth and fell into his arms. "his dead, there all dead" she shouted into his chest while bawling her eyes out.

Slade was out cold, and probably would be for a while, so he was oblivious to Kaine's and Jake's help.

Jake merely nodded. "A'right, Cap'n." And with that, he put the other arm of Slade's around his shoulders. "Geez, he's heavy...big lummox. -_-" He muttered to himself.

Ramudi was quite shocked as Daja literally hurled herself into his, of course, welcoming arms. However, he closed his eyes simply hugged her; allowing her to cry. Ramudi leaned down and whispered small reassurences, though in vain. "Shh, it'll be alright. Some of them escaped, I'm sure...At least you are not alone. I'm here, and I won't allow anyone to harm you.." He continued to hold her, making sure to not let her go.

Tiana ha ben helping all she could, but now she lost all sense of being a smartass when Kaine fell overboard, she might dispise him still, but he hadn't actually done anything yet and so she was now to help in what ever way possible. Quickly finishing one of the pirates arm bandage and clipping it, she passed over to Kaine "And that needs fixing as soon as you've gotton dry" she insisted, hoping that he wouldn't push her away or regect; she could se that the blood had been washed away, and yet it was already redeaming its patch on Kaine.

Kaine layed Slade down on the bed and looked at Jake "Well done lad! We'll have to give you extra rations tonight i think." He ruffled the boys hair and straightend wincing as his arm hurt. He turned to Kutuni "If you insist milady." Was his simple reply as he planted himself on a stool and leaned back, eyes closed with exhaustion.

Jake simply scowled at the hair ruffling. "Hey! Watch tha hair, Cap'n!" Ah! Look at that, Jake was actually starting to call him Cap'n like he should. xD Nice. "But thanks fer tha compliment...I guess... How long do ye think that Slade'll be out?" Yes, Jake was being modest.

Slade simply lay there, actually beginning to snore. Yep, he'd be out for a while...definitely.

Ramudi remained in his current location, still hugging Daja protectively and affectionately. He hated seeing her upset...it tore at his insides.
