"Done!" Zack exclaimed with a grin, sitting back on his haunches to admire his work. He'd just finished installing one of the items he'd salvaged from Midgar for Aerith... now he was ready to show her them.
He stood, brushing off the worst of the dirt in which he was caked and headed through the slowly growing garden to the house.
"Aerith!" He called as he opened the door, she'd been playing on the carpet with Ynyr and Ashlynn when he'd gone outside. Ashlynn had recovered from her fever and infection with a little help from them and the doctor, and now she seemed in fine health, albeit a little frailer than her brother.
The two of them were growing so fast in scared Zack, and they'd begun to move around more, trying to crawl.
"They're ready for you to see!"
Farvardin came bounding down the hall, eager to see Aerith's reaction to her finished gifts.

Aerith turned her smile up to Zack, beautiful and loving.
"Really?" she asked, her tone bright and joyful.
It seemed she had found what truly made her happy here at home with her family. She glanced down to Ashlynn as she wriggled on her stomach.
"Who wants to go with Daddy, hm?"

Ynyr instantly began his awkward wiggling style crawl across the floor towards Zack, who knelt near him.
"You'll get dirty if daddy carries you champ." He chuckled, "And mummy'll have a fit!" He laughed.

"Correction," Aerith laughed, picking up Ashlynn tenderly as the little girl responded to Zack's laughter with giggles of her own.
"Mummy will put Daddy in charge of bath-duty," she teased.

"All the more reason for daddy NOT to carry you." Zack claimed, despite his words he picked up Ynyr XD
"Let's show mummy my surprise." he said in a singsong voice as he walked with a bounce in his step towards the front door, loving the light, bubbly feeling he felt whenever he was around his family, especially when either Ynyr or Ashlynn giggled.

Aerith smiled, kissing Ashlynn's fingers as they reached for her face.
"Yes, mummy's been waiting a long long time for this," she laughed.
"Daddy wouldn't give her a clue or anything... Are you sure you don't want to blind-fold me first Zack?" she teased.

"Sure do." Zack replied with a grin, turning to face her and whistling.
In response Farvardin leaped nimbly to curl around Aerith's shoulders, covering her eyes with his paws and giving a cat-like giggle as he amused Ashlynn with his fluffy tail.
"Fun fun time!" Farvardin chanted, excited himself about the gift.
Content with Aerith's blind-fold Zack took her gently with his free hand, steering her down the garden path he'd paved in cobblestone for her, coming to a stop in front of his new creation.
"You ready?" He asked softly.

Aerith laughed, holding Ashlynn secure on her hip as she walked close to Zack.
"You've been teasing me with this for nearly two months; do you have to ask?"

"Alright." He said, gesturing to Farvardin, who removed his paws.
Resting in the middle of a round section of freshly made path was a concrete column reaching to about her chest height. It was ornately carved, two angels stood back to back with their wings out-stretched, tips touching just beneath the lip of a deep stone bowl which had been filled with water.
Zack hoped she'd recognize it, it was in much better shape than it had been when he'd found it in the church...

Aerith covered her mouth, tears springing to her eyes. She hadn't been to her church in years - it was too dangerous - but she missed it terribly.
"It's beautiful Zack," she whispered, her hand moving to touch the bowl gently as Ashlynn reached for the angels.
"How did you manage to get it here? It looks like it survived everything really well..."

"I carried it in three parts from Midgar to Seventh Heaven. Then Cloud boxed it up for me all careful like and shipped it over. I had to do some restorations... i've never been much of an artist, but i don't think you can see the bits i had to repair." He chuckled, noticing the imperfections in one of the angel's faces himself, but they were so minor no one else would ever notice.
