Even in her sleep, Aerith instinctively held Ynyr and Ashlynn safely and tenderly in her arms, Zack's heart beating in her ear.

Zack sat where he was, watching the three sleep securely in his arms, his thoughts roamed aimlessly in his head, going over everything that had happened to get him this far. He decided he'd never change a thing.

Aerith awoke with a start when she felt squirming in her arms. She tried to wake herself as quickly as possible.
"You a bit uncomfortable Ashie baby?" she said softly, sitting up a little.

Zack was awake but looked like he was only half paying attention when Aerith stirred, but the momet he heard her voice he seemed to zone back in.
"Is something wrong?" He asked softly.

She touched her forehead gently.

Zack was instantly gently working his way out from beneath Aerith, picking up the old rag that had gone dry and standing up.
"I'll go wet this again." He said, hurrying off.
Ynyr stirred the moment his father moved away and gave a small whimper, hands seeking someone.

"It's okay Yn," Aerith soothed tenderly, her arm wrapping around his tiny body carefully to rest her hand on his chest, so he could play with her fingers.
"Daddy's just gone to get Ashie a cloth to cool her down."
She kissed the top of his and his sister's head gently.

Ynyr stopped his whimpering the moment he felt is mother's lips touch his head and he curled down into silence.
Zack arrived back then with the cloth for their baby girl's head, which he applied gently, dabbing a few times before he left it there.
"Does that help princess?" he asked, kissing her little nose.

Ashlynn settled back down in the crook of her mother's arm, but she reached for Zack, bright mako eyes peering up to him desperately.
"You want Daddy, don't you honey?"

Gently Zack worked the baby girl from Aerith's arms, whispering an apology as he gathered the delicate child up and kissed her head before he sat back down beside Aerith.
"I'm here Princess. You're alright." He whispered softly, brushing her head.

Ashlynn quickly snuggled into her father's chest, grabbing his vest in tiny hands and pulling the material weakly to her body. Her mako eyes fluttered again as Zack touched her face tenderly. She mumbled, still a little discontent.
