Here's one. Leon finds Tifa through Radiant Garden, and they continue her search for Cloud together?

Leon walked through the Library of Radiant Garden alone, his gunblade kept loose in his hand. He went down one isle, looking for a particular book.
...how did we get here? The Heartless attacked, everything went dark, and we woke up in Traverse Town. Only...I arrived alone...no-one came to see me up. No Quistis, no Irvine, no Zell, no Selphie...
Leon looked down at the note he'd recieved, opening it and watching the pink glittery butterfly slowly float around him sadly.
...no Rinoa...
He closed the note and tucked it back into his pocket, returning to his search.

The way I see it, if there's a way to get to Traverse Town by force, there's way to get other places through force. It's only logical...
Leon remembered old Headmaster Cid, always there to give him advice on commandeering the SeeDs.
If there's a will, there's a way, Squall, never forget that. If you think you can do it, you probably can.
Leon found a book that seemed to give him his answers, and took it out of the case.

Tifa had taken her frantic search to the library, where she was ritually pulling all the books out of place and checking behind them before replacing them.
Her resolve was failing her... Cloud had fled the moment she'd found him, as if being around her had caused him pain or something. It tore at her heart to think he may not want to see her... but she had to find him and take him home... not only had she promised everyone back at Midgar, but she was also beginning to wonder how she'd ever gone on without him.
All those times he'd left, she'd trusted him to come back, and as the aching wound in her heart grew deeper she began to lose faith in him, but he'd always proved he would come back... even if he took quite a while... but this time...

This time he hadn't come back and so a heartbroken Tifa had gone searching for him, sick of waiting for him to come back like some sort of unoccupied housewife. Everyone back at Midgar was missing Cloud dreadfully, and there were very few who didn't actually say so, Vincent and Shelke among the few, though she could tell that they did miss him too.

"Ah... Where ARE you!" She finally yelled in frustration, punching the bookcase and knocking several books out of place.

Leon dived out of the way of the toppling bookcase, spinning to his feet in a poised position, gunblade at the ready. He relaxed when he saw it was a human that had caused it, but then he saw her holding her fist out, and back-tracked.
'Are you okay? And where's who?'
Leon had gone straight into his questioning mode when he needed answers then and there, which generally seemed to work.

Tifa was a little startled, she'd done a lot more damage than she'd expected to do and had nearly crushed someone to be even worse!
"Uh.. sorry." She said, hurriedly she began to pick up books here and there, piling them up. Her red eyes were sad and she kept the cast down as to not meet Leon's gaze.
"I didn't actually mean to do that." She straightened and brushed the dust off of her black skirt.

Leon frowned slightly and helped this girl pick up the fallen books.
'It's alright. I still have the book I needed. It's not too much to ask why you punched down the bookcase, is it?'
Leon set his gunblade on the ground to pick up more books.

"I'm sorry..." Tifa mumbled sadly, placing one last book on a pile before starting a new one.
"I'm just... at the end of my rope. i don't know what i'm doing anymore." She sighed and straightened, wiping a gloved fist across her eyes obscurely before returning to her work.

Leon frowned deeper as he picked up more books.
'This might be rude, but you're dodging my question. Who are you looking for?'
He finished his pile and started anew, finding that they'd almost finished.

Tifa straightened now and brushed aside a lock of her black hair, stretching a little before she answered his question.
"No harm in asking i guess..." She said with a shrug, "I'm looking for someone... you may have seen him... he WAS here before but..." She bit her lip before continuing. "He's blond, carries a really big sword?" She paused and then pointed to her eyes, "And REALLY bright blue eyes... kind of gloomy..."

Leon nodded.
'Yeah, I know him. Cloud Strife, SOLDIER First Class, or so he thought. He's a good friend of mine. He hasn't been around here for a while now. Last I saw of Cloud was near the end of the Thousand Heartless War.'
He walked over to a wall and leaned against it, folding one arm across his chest and putting his other hand to his forehead.
'Seeing as I have nothing else to do, and I'm slightly worried about him, I could help you?'

Tifa gave a cry of joy when Leon admitted to knowing him.
"You've seen hi-" But her joy was short lived... Leon had not seem him any more recently than she had... the last time she'd seen him he'd been in the middle of a heated battle with Sephiroth... and then he'd vanished.
She sighed, looking very disheveled.
"Sometimes i wonder whether he's avoiding me on purpose.." She muttered, before looking up in surprise as the brunette offered her help in finding the Ex-SOLDIER.
"You... mean it? Don't you have to keep things running around here?" She asked, gesturing around her.
((Can i assume that Aerith, Yuffie and Cid have gone back to Midgar? Leaving Leon and Merlin to run things in Radiant Garden? I know it's not cannon but... it would make sense to keep the gang together you know?))

Leon gestured lightly, as if brushing what Tifa had said away.
'Merlin's more than capable of running Radiant Garden from his house, and we have Tron keeping an eye out for any incoming of any kind, so here'll be fine. I have no other work to get on with, and I need something to pass the time anyway. So I'll join you in your search.'
Leon pushed off the wall lightly and picked up his gunblade.

Tifa let a small smile slowly grace her lips before she nodded gently.
"Thanks a lot... i appreciate it... I- I went back to Midgar after i lost track of Cloud here, and no one had seen or heard from him. They're all keeping alert for any news... they're as eager to find him as I am." She frowned, "Cloud tries to be independent and forgets he has friends... and that he needs them." She straightened her top.
"I came back here to look for clues... but i've got nothing..." She sighed, "So i don't even know where to START i'm afraid."
