Yuna, Aerith & Tifa

[The Painted Lady]

"No, no really," Aerith said quickly, trying to reassure Zack with a smile.
"I'm fine," she promised.

Tidus was confused by Yuna and Rikku's reactions... and then Paine's when he looked over to her. He stored away the question for later.

Yuna looked to Buddy who knew the technology expert from years ago, before Tidus returned to Her. Shinra was just a kid, and he was one of Yuna's good friends. She never saw him after he left the Gullwings, but he assured them that he was going somewhere safe. Rikku held onto Yuna's arm looking to her multi-coloured eyes.
"Who was this Shinra" Buddy asked, speaking for the first time, a little anxious.

Cloud remained standing, not really believing that Aerith wasn't tired, but he didn't say anything about it. He looked to Tifa again who was still observing, Gippal a few steps away.

Zack frowned and turned to look at the man who posed the question.
"Shinra was a tyrant." He replied, his voice edgy, his hatred of the man was unparalleled... or at least very difficult to top, even in a world full of Shinra haters.
"He ran a Arms dealing company called Shinra Manufacturing, he had scientists working to help him develop the biggest and best weapons, and he'd sell them to warring groups in order to breed violence. But then he discovered Mako energy... he discovered a way to process the lifestream and use it as a form of electricity to power our lives. For a while people thought it was a good thing, but Shinra began to use his weapons to take over... soon enough he controlled everything." Zack grit his teeth to contain his anger.
"Unsatisfied with their technological prowess's the Shinra scientists began experimenting on people... which lead to more and more suffering, and their eventual fall. Shinra's son Rufus still works night and day to fix the permanent damage Shinra did to our world by draining the life from the soil and turning our people into... into monsters."

Paine frowned, that didn't sound much like THEIR Shinra...

Aerith sighed.
"Shinra was responsible for a lot of suffering on our Planet when he lived... He took away loved ones, our freedom... he even took away the sky."
She shook her head.
"Even now the reconstruction of Gaia is hardly complete..."

[Yuna Braska]

it was impossible, Shinra was just a boy when Yuna last saw him. Though the more Yuna listened, the more her heart sunk. Everything that this man was describing was in relation to most of the inventions which Shinra had already created, and the ones which he was wondering if it would work. One time he had this idea of taking the energy force form the Farplane and use it to Spira's advantage. This didn't sound like Shinra at all, but the inventions sounded like his. Yuna bit her lip and let her hair fall in front of her eyes, not wanting to say anything more on the subject. Buddy looked tense, his arms were tight around each other and his breath was getting heavy. "No" Buddy said shaking his head. He turned to Cid and continued to shake. "He wouldn't do that"He whispered in protest. Cid rubbed his eyebrows in frustration and placed an arm on Buddy's shoulder. "Just settle.."

Cloud flinched at the thought of Shinra, he didn't like the sound of his name and never wanted to hear it again. The reaction of the new comers were rather interesting as well. The young woman with short brown hair looked rather upset and holding something in, while the darker male looked like he was going to hit something.

Zack frowned slightly, glowing mako blue eyes flicking between them all before coming to a rest on Gippal by the far wall with Cloud and Tifa.
"You know Shinra?" He asked, fearing for a moment they'd brought the wrong kind of people to Gaia.

Aerith reached up to touch Zack's back gently, a little tense too.

"Do we?" Tidus asked, confused.

[Yuna Braska]

Gippal rubbed the back of his head and sighed. " We knew A Shinra."Gippal said when he saw Zack looking towards him. Gippal only knew little of the young boy that was on the Gullwing's airship. Buddy interrupted giving a better explanation.
"Shinra was just a kid, he wouldn't hurt anyone. It can't be the same" Buddy said. Yuna looked up to her dark friend and frowned. she didn't want to mention the thinks that the boy said to her, it just enhanced the fact that it might be the same Shinra.

[Tifa Lockhart]

Zack frowned and looked up to Tseng.
"I don't suppose you could call Rufus in, could you?" He asked the Turk, he wanted to clear this matter up as quick as possible.

Tseng nodded silently, moving to leave to make the call in private.

"Tseng..." Aerith said quickly.
The dark-haired Turk stopped immediately for her.
"Tell him it's not desperately urgent..." she said softly. She wasn't sure she'd be able to stay alert and awake for that long...
"Maybe he could come tomorrow morning."

"I suppose it should be best that we all get some rest, it has been a long day" Cid said noticing that everyone did look a little tired.. and stressed. Yuna especially, he knew that the girl had been close to the young boy Shinra, same with Buddy. Rikku was playing with a lock of her hair to keep her mind off the last subject and Buddy was looking to the floor.

Yuna was saying to herself in her mind that it wasn't him, she had to trust that one of her good friends from the past, who was younger than her, was not apart of almost destroying another planet. Yuna shook her head and held it in her hands trying to shake the thought out.

Zack gave in, despite not feeling at all sleepy himself and wanting to resolve this issue just to make sure he wasn't letting Shinra supporters slip in right under his nose... they'd come too far to let their planet go by the wayside now... even if this alien was destroying everything the planet had left to offer them, forests and lakes were gone, rivers reduced to trickles of water... he wanted to act NOW.
But the infamously impatient SOLDIER knew he had to wait, so he looked up and caught his blonde friend's eye.
"Cloud will organize some accommodations for you all, if you would kindly follow him." He then nodded in goodbye and turned to face Aerith, fixing her with pale blue eyes for a moment before he sighed and walked over to her.
"Let's go get you some sleep." He said, gently taking her hand.

Tifa watched around the group, noting the distress the newcomers held when they heard Zack say it was Shinra who put this world in its initial state of decay, they all seemed to try and deny it in their minds.
Tifa knew that it went without saying that it was her job to go with Cloud, as the more charismatic of the two of them it would probably be up to her to do most of the talking, at least any non-official stuff.
She looked over at Zack and Aerith, noting how tired and stressed the two looked, a horrific change to what she was used too, they were usually the optimists of the group, but right now neither of them looked like they particularly wanted to be thinking positive.

Aerith took Zack's hand and stood, trying to offer him a smile. She waited for Tseng to leave to make his phones call before she wrapped her arms around Zack tightly. She sighed into his chest before she looked up to him.
"We better make sure Tseng gets to bed okay first," she said softly.

Tidus took Yuna's wrists gently in his hands, confused, but sympathetic. He gently coaxed her to her feet, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
"You okay?" he asked quietly.

Yuna was not crying, she was just quiet. When Tidus lifted her up slightly and hugged her, she smiled slightly, hiding her emotion. "I'm fine" She said with a sweet voice hugging him back around the waist. She pulled him back and show him her smile. "Thank you" she said referring to the hug.
Rikku was standing closer to Gippal keeping his eye on him. "What are you doing?" She asked before the blonde spun around and smiled.
"Nothing" He smiled innocently as he pulled his wondering eyes from the dark haired woman.

Cloud didn't really want to do anything but Zack asked him so he would do it. He looked to Tifa a little confused himself of where the foreigners would be staying but he would see that they do get a good place to sleep. 'Tifa..? Could you perhaps?"[b/] Cloud asked a little softly to her ear before giving a deep cough to grab the brightly dressed people's attention

Tifa giggled slightly and shook her head, "Really Cloud, you know Junon better than i do, there's an empty barraks reserved for visitors isn't there? Bed them there." She then turned to call the group over, knowing Cloud's feeble cough would really do nothing to gain their attention.
"Excuse me!" She called politely, "if you follow us, Cloud and I will take you to your accommodations."

Zack turned to look where Tseng had left to make his phone-call, and then looked back to Aerith.
"of course." He said, giving a small smile, only a shadow of his usual glee.
