Meira was following mostly in silence, but when Sero spoke to her, she turned her attention to him, immediately. "no place in specific...but I suppose I'll be headed back towards the coast...it's the best place to look for information" she replied, simply, tugging at her hood. "why is it that you ask?"

Stephan was still slightly winded, but he tried his best despite his panting to follow after Leilani.
------------------------------------
Evie tottered along silently, not following the conversation in which her companions were engaging anyway.

Leilani looked over her shoulder too, but not for the fight. To her relief, Stephan's steed had in fact followed them. She squeezed the hand she held. "I don't know what you're keeping from me, but you need to get out of here," she said, taking MageWhisper's reigns in her free hand. She urged him to get onto the horse's back. "I'll get out of here somehow, just go, please. You need to stay safe..."

Acheron slammed his armoured fist into the creatures head a few times with the speed and strength of a trained fighter. When it seemed to slump to the ground dead, he let it go and stood up to full height. The retired soldier quickly found the trail where the two companions and their horse had ran off to, and sprinted after them.

The man's relentless blows was knocking Aevea's spirit like the yolk of an egg being shook violently. A last final blow landed bringing a wash of darkness as Aevea's spirit was blasted into the void from his corpereal form. Nothing but darkness could be seen except a dim yet familiar light from far away. Aevea began his slow return to his body, it would be some time before he rose and took up his quest once more.

Sero shrugged.. 'Curious I suppose" he replied with a yawn. He was getting a little tired and he wanted to rest his arms. He couldn't stop now though, they were not out of the forest yet and he didn't want to sleep if that ment leaving them all unprotected. What if the soilders from the prison were still looking for them? what if they caught up with them? Sero shook her head, wincing slightly when he felt some warm sun on his face. He looked ahead to see a clearing, the sun shining brightly through. Were they finally out of the forest?

Meira followed quietly, noting when her companion yawned and wondering whether perhaps they should stop to rest a while. She wasn't at all tired and COULD keep watch for them, but when Sero continued walking she assumed he wanted to get somewhere safer first, which in her mind was a wise decision, the forest at night or day was no place to sleep, after all. When they emerged into the clearing she glanced around, also curious as to whether they were out of the forest already. The journey had seemed rather short, so far, but she supposed she couldn't be sure until they could find a better way to look around, and see how far the grasses spread before meeting mountain or tree. It was still fairly early in the afternoon, so the sun was warm and bright, and the sky deep blue with little cloud blocking out the sun. With so few clouds there was no doubt that it would be cold tonight.

Stephan shook his head immediately, still panting. "It was my dishonesty that got you into the thick of this trouble, I wont abandon you so simply." He'd just finished this declaration when the second stranger from the battle broke through the line of trees. MageWhisper reared in fright and his master assumed a protective stance between the stranger and Leilani. "What is it that you want!?" He demanded desperately.

Leilani felt herself automatically take hold of Stephan's tunic by his hip in gentle fingers, as if trying to subtly urge him not to move toward this man just yet. He may have helped them, but she couldn't help but feel he had his own agenda... "Stephan, careful..." she whispered.

Acheron came to a sudden stop when the man he'd helped stood before him defiantly. Raising an eyebrow at the youth, he undid his gauntlets and slung them back beneath his coat, all the while watching the man. 'I want nothing but your name, so I may know who I saved from such a creature like that of the undead.' Acheron watched the man carefully, and found something incredibly interesting. He stands like royalty...

Sero loved the feeling of the sun, it was wonderful. He couldn't remember the last time he felt it upon his pale damaged skin. He looked to Evie.. the poor small girl looked so scrawny and tiny... she was saying she was fine but he wasn't. Sero felt so weak, even the warm sun couolodn't make him feel better. Sero sighed slightly and stopped at the edge of the tree's and the begining off the grass of a clearing. It wasn't the ned of the forest, it started up again a couple of hundred metres away. "I think we need to stop ... for a while" he said for his own health. "I'm sure you would want to rest those feet" he said leaning down to Evie, not giving away his condition to her.

Meira quickly picked up on the hint that they were both tired, so she immediately stepped ahead of them, gesturing for them to follow her. She lead them a short way into the clearing, nearby some rocks, where she then sat atop the tallest rock, waiting for them to sit with her. She'd chosen this spot because it was pretty much in the middle of the clearing, so if anything tried to attack, she would be able to spot it coming, and atop the probably 1 meter high pile of boulders, she had a good vantage point. She pulled her bag for around her shoulders and placed it down on the rocks at her feet, glancing around for any danger, even making sure to look up to make sure that they weren't going to get swooped by any airborne foes. She seemed to deem it safe for now, as she relaxed a little after a moment, turning to her companions again. "...you look pale...are you ill?" she asked, after a moment, noting the very white colour to the young man's skin. She feared his death, for some reason...his presence somehow felt important, so she didn't want to risk the death of someone more important than she may ever know. "...injured perhaps?" she then added, reminding herself that these people could have been wounded and that could also be the reason for his and the child's weariness.
