Appearance:
He is tall, as expected of an elf, with fine, almost white hair with pale white skin. His eyes are a light mossy green and he is well figured and muscular. On his forehead he wears a gold symbol.
((I have to include a picture... I like pictures... and I found this after I created my character *laughs* not the same symbol but meh,))

Personality: Being a prince, he is proper but as his name suggests, he is like kind air, affectionate to those who are close to him and easy going like the air. But he can have a sadistic and playful side, often at the cost of someone he does not like.

History: Valyrin has lived a long time and seen some battles in his time, each leaving alive. He is a respected man amongst his people, not just for being the prince. He didn’t get the title Warrior Prince for any reason. With this new threat against his people, he is forced by his father to help with creating allies; so he is betrothed to a human in a distant kingdom.

Weapon/power/s: After living as long as he has, he has mastered at wielding a sword but prefers to use his quiver and bow. Although he doesn’t use it, Valyrin has some power over the earth and air, but not enough for him to use it for battles etc. He prefers to keep it a secret and use it as less as he can.

Appearance:
((I have to be fair to main chara’s, a picture for him to.)) He is still young, even though his rank would be for one with many years experience, and looks it to. He has long dark brown hair that he ties behind him in a long white ribbon. Sal’s eyes are a light golden brown and he is a gaunt figure but is still a dominant fighter and quick on his feet.

Personality: Sal is a loyal person, and does what he is told. He is very protective of those he cares for but he never lets it cloud his judgement. He is a powerful thinker, planning everything before attacking. He can be annoyed easily and over all is just a loyal person that tries to hide what he feels, only showing his confidence and authority.

History: Sal was brought up by his father to be a guard, to follow in his steps. His mother didn’t like it, and neither his younger sister. When Sal made it, his family was attacked and his little sis was killed. From then Sal gave up on protecting and his father died angry at him and his mother hating him. He has lived alone teaching young kids how to hold a sword and defend themselves.

Weapon/power/s: Salvador has used a blade from a young age and still uses it. He can also use two small daggers as reserve, and his body combat. Sal doesn’t have a power, but he likes to think that his mind is a powerful tool.

Personality: Gareth is a sarcastic man that is also very sadistic, enjoying a fight. He hates anything other than human, thinking that race in-superior. He doesnt think before he acts, more of the shoot first ask questions later, which is why he is under Sal's authority.

Personality: Ianto is a very quiet boy that does what he is told. He likes to stick close to Sal when he can because he does feel slightly unsafe sometimes and knows that Sal will respect him more than others.

Personality: Ash never cared for becoming a lady, only wanting to become a soldier or warrior to be close to her father. When her father died, she became determined to remain in the military, and the only way was to pretend to be a boy. She has a short temper and a fiery attitude, but when as Ashliegh, she is gentle and not as rash.

Personality: seen but never heard. He keeps silent and most are unaware of his existence. He is also in charge of watching and spying on Sal and the soldiers.

Personality: Much like Sehnae, but because she is a human and female, she draws some attention among the camps, but is Valyrin's close friend as well.

Death.

It is one of the few things that are as simple as that.
Death is one of the few things that are assured in one’s life.
Not everyone stops to think about death; i know i didn’t. They simply wait until the day that they die, for we all die.
Every man dies. Only, the catch is that not every man really lives.
Those people that think of death, and fear it, are wasting their lives, while those that thrive on the thought of death are the ones that will move on to eternal life, although, i had met many people that did not think of death so they could only focus on the now; for they did not want to leave this life, this world. I could think like that, pretend that death was like the air i breathed, or the dirt i walked on. I only now realise that i was not living.
Who wants to live forever? I remember the last words spoken to me, 'love lasts forever'. But who wants to love forever? Love always dies. Even in this world, there is only one moment set aside for us, so we can see how great it really can be.
The world is a fine place when you stop and look at it and worth the fighting for and i hate very much to leave it. But, do we know what’s worth fighting for, when it’s not worth dying for? I never thought that i would find something that was truly worth dying for. Would it take your breath away, and would you feel yourself suffocating?
I can't breathe.
Air is going down my throat, but escaping through the hole in my lung. That sword had punctured it and now i am suffocating. My hands are bloodied from my stomach, the wound too big for me to pressure the blood flow into stoping. Im trembling, it feels like I’m a leaf in a storm; i can’t call for help, i sound like a small child choking on fear, only i am choking on the metallic fluid that is filling my mouth.
I don’t want to die. I still have to finish my mission.
I had found my reason to stay, after so long having a reason to leave but always too cowardly to take the first step to eternal life.
My wounds feel like they are on fire, and yet all i could feel was cold, smell blood and see nothing but a dark blur.
I stumble forward, all i have to do is get around this blasted tree, i could see the glow from the fire; they were right there!
Again i called for help, but again the air squeezed from my lung, squirting blood in a disturbing fashion.
I can feel myself slipping away, the pain is numbing and i can no longer smell anything. I roll onto my back, lifting my head as i raise my hand to see if by some miracle that it has healed, that i have simply had a nightmare. But no, I toss my head back and lay back down, it is still there. I, Salvador Simeon, great warrior and protector, will now die on wet earth, drowned by his own blood.
Im scared now, i am dying and there is nothing i can do, nothing that he can do. He probably thinks i am hiding in my tent; they won’t look for me till morning. But I’ll be dead by then.
I gaze up at the sky, and try counting all the stars that shine brightly. I only wish that i could be given a second chance. People depend on me, but i am sending wishes that would only be heard by the dirt beneath me and the air that is escaping my gaping mouth. Everything goes black, and i think of my life, it isn’t much of a story.
But after all; this is the story of how i died.
Suddenly everything stops; i can no longer feel myself tremble or gag for breath, and i can feel a new coldness creep up and consume me, but something warm is there and i try to grab onto it, not wanting to go just yet, but i was too slow. I guess you could say i slipped and i just know that I am dead.

Trust.
Is it something that can be placed in just anyone? Does it even exist? Or is it merely a fragment of hope to be used when all else is lost?
I've often wondered this myself.
Particularly when I think back on all that has happened and all that has happened to me. So many years have passed, yet I still wonder if it could have been prevented. If I had done something differently, or been able to change one act in history; could it all have been avoided? Who is to know? But I'm getting ahead of myself. Perhaps I should explain what "it" really is.
Well, this whole story truly begins only a few years ago, five to be exact. I had finaly become a man at this time, and I was to be the best of the Elite Guards to protect all those that were royal. I was happy, I had pleased my father for once in my life, but had lost all respect in my mothers eyes. Even my younger sister, Nina, had lost all respect for me; no longer being the bright little fairy that danced at my side.
No, i had lost everything i cared about most, but i didnt see it at that time.
Not until i came home and found my mothers hate filled glare on me, and my father like stone.
My family had been subject to numerous threats, all because of me. But of course, i was too wrapped up in all the glory.
They had murdered my sister.
My little Nina had been slayed for the sake of getting me away from my dream.
Well it had worked.
Now here I am. Living with the knowledge that it was my fault that Nina had died, my fault that my father died dissapointed of me and my fault that my mother had died with great sorrow and hate towards me.
I heard this life is over rated, but i hope it will get better as I struggle on, teaching kids how to protect themselves and handle a sword. I have no respect for what happens to me, no feelings towards protecting anybody anymore, i wouldnt care.
So how could anyone trust me?
Why was this man here, here now, asking me to trust in him, and putting his trust in me?

I had been told once, that life was like an echo.
It is born; it lives, but slowly fades away, sometimes without having been heard. I promised myself that I would be heard, but alas, I failed at my own promise. I had been heard, but for all the wrong reasons. There was no way that I could trust myself, which is why I couldn’t understand why this man was asking for it.
The man approached me with a wobble as his short legs seemed to be struggling to support his huge bulk.
‘May I speak with you,’ he asked, then eyed the children I had been teaching in an aggravated way, ’in private?’
I felt my hand tighten on the wooden sword I was holding, debating whether to show the children how to beat a representative of the royal family with a wooden stick and not kill him. Deciding otherwise, I turned back to my group, all staring up at me with large questioning eyes.
’Ok, you get to go home earlier today. Remember to put your gear back in the barrels!’ I shouted towards them as they raced towards the barn after they had shoved their swords in the barrel behind me; tripping on their own feet in the thick grass. As they made their way up the hill, and only when I had watched them disappear did I turn to the man standing behind me in bright gold and embroidered robes. I glanced down at my dirty pants and old tunic as I placed the sword along with the others, putting them in the right way and tidying them up. I had no intention of speaking to the man just yet.
Something made me shiver when the man simply stared at me, as if waiting for me to start the conversation. There was no way I was, he came here and interrupted me, so he could start.
Sure enough he did.
’You are a difficult man to find,’
’Obviously not hard enough,’ I mumbled, but he still heard me, and regarded me with cold eyes until he chuckled.
’Come boy, we have much to discuss.’
I watched as he began to stroll towards the forest bordering on my home and I felt that shiver become dread.

The eagle flew lazily, floating for a brief time before beating down its large wings. It sort a place to rest before the sun vanished from the horizon for the night. The old eagle tipped its wings and flew low across the river near Anchar, then veered towards the temple. It knew it was safe here in the kingdom of Anchar, the elves would not hunt hunters, but it pondered as it landed on the temple roof on the strange feeling that this was all to change.

Below the eagle, Valyrin, son of the Anchar King and fierce warrior paced across the uncomfortable chamber in the old temple.
'This i more disturbing,' he muttered, his smooth kindly face crinkling into seams of worry, [/b]'than the news that grows more disturbing.'[/b]
For years he had tried to ignor his duties as prince, but perhaps the time had come for when he needed to step up. After five years of refusing to accept what the court had pressed on him and now, he would have to bow to their wishes and eccept what his duties as heir were, for the sake that he would be the one that help Anchar through possibly one of the greatest crisis in a thousand years.
Valyrin sighed and turned to stare out the open window. His hands fidgeted as he sat down beside the fire place, the flames light picking out the gold tracery in the jaded stone and silver mantle.
Behind him, large oak doors opened slowly and Valyrin leapt to his feet. It was unusual for doors to be in sacred temples, but at this moment in time, nothing was usual.
'Do you believe the reports to be true,' he paused and then glanced at the men that followed his father out, 'Majesty?' he added, knowing he had no right to speak as his father and the court stood in front of him, forming an almost perfect semi circle, leaving Valyrin feeling like a trapped animal, but he pushed down the feeling.
'ussta dalharuk,' he started, and moved forward to place his hands on Valyrins bare shoulders. 'It has been many many years since anyone has truly seen a forbidden one, actually laid eyes on a lesper,'
'But we are not to take any chances,' someone said from the group, and Valyrin fought the idea of searching the old faces for who spoke.
'But father, sometimes the reports can be occasioned by superstitious peasants frightened by rabbits in the fields,' Valyrin said, and his father simply chuckled and moved away from his son. Valyrin felt his shoulders sink when his father and the court bowed before him.
Valyrin himself feared that it was more than rabbits that had frightened many of the people, but there was little he could have done about it. But now, they were his frightened people and he had to do something about it.
