Dumping the bag into the cave first, Shou crawled in afterwords, noticing Jay awake.
'I tried to clean your wound as best i could with what i had, tell me if it starts to hurt.' she said flatly before she moved futher in, and huddled against the rock, her teeth clentched tight together to stop from chittering. It was freezing in the wasteland, but it was better than being freezing in a cell. Shou glanced over at Jay and gave him a fiant smile before she closed her eyes, not wanting to talk about anything. She had managed to salvage what she could from the wreckage of her bike, before the Aces could find it. They would have to move before dawn, it was too dark now and who knew what wondered around the wastelands? Shou shivered at the thought and curled into a ball against the wall, her chin resting on her knees.

'Thank you,' he said softly and pushed heair from his eyes. He stood, his wound not sore and put the blanket over Shou, sitting beside her, but still a large enough gap that if she swung a fist, it would miss. He sighed as the cool breaze grazed over his bare chest, he had lived down here for years, he didnt mind the cold night air, but what he did mind was the creatures that were down here, and with a slight shuffle, he moved and sat in front of the entrace to the small cave, to keep an eye out if anything or anyone was coming.

Shou tossed the blanket back to him, she didnt need it.
'Take the stupid blanket.' she hissed. But she was grateful he had thought of her, and he even sat near the cave enterance. She felt somewhat more safer, she had no experience down here, she had no idea what it was like, and her shoulder was giving numb stabs of pain. She had pulled off her arm sleeve to allow the shoulder to heal properly, and it was a hidious purple and green, she flinched when looking at it. Sighing, she leant her head on the stone and closed her eyes to stop the world from spinning.

Jay caught the blanket before it landed on him and then rolled to face her.
'You need it more than me. he said. Shou glanced up angrily and threw the blanket back at him. Jay this time growled in his throat and ditched the blanket back at her. Shou stood as high as the cave would allow her and threw the blanket at Jay'
Take the stupid blanket!' she cried. Jay flinched, listening as it echoed across the plain. Shou sniffed and sat away from him futher, blowing the candle out. Jay took the blanket but moved and lay beside Shou, wrapping the blanket around him and then grabbed Shou by the waist, wrapping the blanket around her as well. Not releasing his tight grip on her, he ignored the pain from his chest and slept.

Shou was uncomfortable, until Jay came and lay next to her. She was enveloped in his arms, and for a split second she wanted to rip away from him, but his chest was warm, and she twisted in his arms and nuzzled into his chest, her head resting under his chin as she was slowly lulled to sleep.
Shou woke as soon as the light spread across the wasteland. She stretched before she realised that Jay still had hold of her. Resisting the urge to punch him away, Shou remained still and watching him. He had practicly ran into her life, destroyed it as far as she could tell, and there was no way he was getting out from that. But, he was an Astor and she wasnt alone any more, she had someway of being reminded that for centuries people had been waiting for them to save them, but she was too cowardly to face what she was. As he eyes scanned down his body, she noticed a chain around his neck and lifted it to see the hawk and a feather. Why hadnt she seen this before? she thought, looking at it curiously.

Jays eyes opened and he stared down at Shou, who was glancing at his necklace. He gave a slight chuckle.
'Only believers can see it.' he mumbled as he sat up, letting go of her as though he had been burnt. Abruptly, he turned away and looked out over the waste land.
'Spose we better get moving.' he said and looked for his shirt, pulling it on.
