Not bothering to move, Jay heard footsteps and looked up as the girl lifted him to his feet and he tried to help, but she seemed to do alright. She looked so peaceful where she was, he wished he hadnt fallen.
'Thanks,' he mumbled. He glanced past her and to the horizon, the sun was beautiful from the view, and the girl, Shou, was just as stunning. He realised he was staring when she wiped away at his forehead. 'Im Jay.' he replied, straightening off his clothes and jacket. He felt the crystals missing from his pocket and he raised an eyebrow to shou.

Shou made a sound at the back of her throat, and turned away, a smirk replacing her smile.
She ignored the jesture he made with his eyebrows about his missing crystals and went back to leaning on the rail.
'You know, we have about two hours before they come back for you, and me. So im taking those crystals. Besides? What would you use them for?' she said and turned, leaning her elbows on the rail to support her. She looked the scrawny man up and down, and she had to admit that beneath all the loose clothing and dirt, he was quite handsome, and to take on the Dark Aces and announce that he was an Astor, he was bravely...stupid.
Shou chuckled darkly as she then began to move past him to collect her stuff.
'Now get this staight, im not going to the wastelands, im gonna head east. You can head any other way expcept East, you got that?'

Jay stared at her again as she seemed so calm about having to leave this place because he had put her in danger. As she began to move past him, he grabbed her arm firmly in his and swung her around so that she was facing him.
'No, i want my crystals back, and my ring.' he growled, his nose inches away from her own. 'I put you in danger, you dont have to go, just say i took advantage of yor state,' he said, shrugging his shoulders and holding out his free hand to recieve his ring back. He wasnt going any where without that ring.
'And, i have friends East, so it looks like your flying south sweet pea.' That was the only option. North was the capital, and west was the ocean. Only south, east or wasteland, and whoever went in the wasteland barely came out alive, himself one of them. At the thought of the wastelands, Jay shuddered and his eyes went dark, not wanting to relive that horror ever again.

Shou was taken by suprise and let out a small shriek as he grabbed her arm and was pulled into his chest, his face so close she could smell his sweet musky breath.
Shou, no, focus, you havnt even got an hour to get out of here. Run Already!
'Those crystals are mine now, baby. And no one takes advantage of me!' she yelled and struggled in his grip. When he held out his hand, she knew he wanted them back, and the ring. Cold sweat broke out over her.
'Your not having the ring back, no. I wont let you. It will get you into so much trouble! That is something not to be proud of, and if you ever!' she spun around and gripped him in a head lock, 'EVER call me sweet pea, or anything of the sorts,' she bent her knee and swung it up, but stopped just in front of his face. 'I will kick you pretty boy butt until you aint pretty no more.' she hissed and let him drop to the floor. She turned on her heels and reached for her emergancy pack and swung it over her back before leaping again off the balcony and onto the ground below where she then proceeded to one of her motor-cycles.

Jay cringed as she brought her knee to his face, but released a sigh when he was dropped back onto the deck. Well, talk about mood swings,' he thought as he leapt to his feet. Turning around, he saw her hair disappear over the edge and ran to watch her gradually get on a motor cycle.
'She has motorised Ones!? Jay suddenly felt some sort of reasurance being around her. She was an Astor? no, but, she could be, why would a simple civilian (maybe not so simple) want to protect him? Anyone else would have thrown him over the edge and into the wasteland.
There was a sudden explosion behind him, and Jay turned and so the dark aces advancing. Loooking down to Shou, he tried to call out to her, but the noise was too loud. Jumping down himself, Jay ran in her direction and saw numerous motor-cycles, the bulky build and armour and leapt onto one.
'Your an Astor as well?' he called out to her as there was another loud explosion.

Shou had heard the explosion and put on her glasses as she waited for the back gate to open. Hopefully Jay would get out, but then again, if he was dead, her life would be so much easier. Mind you, she didnt know that for a fact, she would just have to wait and see. As she started the bike, she saw Jay appear and jump on a bike. She repressed a snarl and looked away. Then she felt her muscle beome so tight she couldnt move her arms and legs to take off.
'I am not an Asotr! How dare you say such a thing!' Then, frustrated she left her home, the bike speeding down the slight slope before the bike automaticly spread its metal wings and she took flight.

Watching as she left the terra, Jay looked behind him to see the aces advanci before he was a few seconds behind her. His heart began to thud against his ribs painfully as the edge neared. But he closed his eyes and waited.
When he opened them, he saw that Shou was just ahead of him, and the ground was no were to be seen. After a moment of gawking, Jay looked at the controls and then pushed them into full speed and caught up to Shou. He didnt look at her, he knew both of them were focusing on getting away alive. He remained beside her and looking ahead.
He wasnt sure if he had made a friend or an enemy, but he was going to help her if she needed it, he had condemned this onto her and he was sorry about it. Glancing behind him, Jay saw only cloud and ahead that was also all he could see. What if there was a more and they couldnt see them? They were going to be in the wastelands before he could say bugger.

Shou turned her head slightly and saw Jay beside her. She moved away, putting and larger gap between them. He was alive, good. He was following her, not so good.
She supressed a groan, even though she knew he wouldnt hear it, she still hid it from him. He could come in handy, this Jay Astor.
Then she suddenly began to think, she wasnt the only astor, there was one other and she wasnt alone. Shou thought that they had all been caught and punished. But, she glanced at him again. Obviously not all of them.
Suddenly a sharp shooter appeared beside her and shot. The energy type arrow struck at her controls, barley missing her hands. Shou used her instinct and jumped from the bike; better to fall then to explode into thousands of pieces. The bike began to fall before it exploded, and the sharp shooter flew across to try and aim at her, but shou twisted and fell into the clouds. The air was becoming thicker and her ears and eyes burned from the cool air. Maybe, the fall wouldnt take so long, and she wouldnt notice when she hit the ground, as long as she kept her eyes closed, body relaxed, death would come swiftly.

Jay was getting out of the way when he noticed Shou leap from her bike before it became pieces. Well, she was smart to jump out, but know she had more than a thousand feet to fall. Swinging his bike around, Jay followed the sharp shooter before he reasised that this had no weapons on it. He gave a snort of disaproval before he thought. He could still get to shou if he managed to lead the sharp shooters away. Before he knew it, jay had ramed into the side of the other bike, knocking them away for a moment, then it was a race to get to shou. Jay ended up spinning and locked in with the other. The metal wings that were crushed together sent them spinning down, one falling away, while the other dropped his weapon. Punching the other guy, Jay managed to pull away from the other as it crashed and Jay focused on finding Shou. Spotting her, he raced along the ground before he leapt from the bike, catching shou and rolling along the hard ground of the wastelands as the bike rolled behind him and crushed him. But he held shou to his chest, making sure she was safe from the bike that was crushing over him. He opened his eyes and realised they were both breathing, they had survived, but his leg was sore, and he closed his eyes with a soft sigh.

There were no more arrows flying past her, but she could feel something warm on her arm. Her breath was short and Shou was begining to feel light headed. She sighed and began to mumbled before she reached into her pocket and gently stroked the Astor ring.
'Father, give me wings,' she prayed. Suddenly she felt arms around her waist and she was pushed through the air. She momentarily gasped and forced her eyes open, stunned until she hit the ground. Above her was Jay, and they were on the ground, rolling as the bike flipped ontop of Jay. She was pinned to the ground by his body, but his arms held her safely to her chest. She knew the bike had him pinned, that she should get up and help him, but what if the sharp shooters came back? What if there were more? No, they were safe under the wreckage for now. They would soon find them, they would have to move. Shou shuffled to get comfortable, but then she saw her arm covered in blood and Jay sighed, his eyes closed. Shou gave up and rest her head on his chest for a few minutes, to regain her senses and to make sure he was still breathing.

Jay opened his eyes slightly and noticed Shou beneath him.
'Bugger.' he groaned and managed to roll over, his back scraping against the now scrap metal. He felt the cold hit against him but something else was keeping him warm. Pushing his hand to his chest, he lifted it and saw red covering his hand. 'Dam' But he forced himself up and picked up Shou's limp body. Resting her head on his shoulder, he staggered to some cover of the wasteland from the dark Aces.

Shous eyes fluttered open when she felt herself being lifted, but her head was so light and she was so short of breath that she just allowed Jay to lift her and rest her head on him. She felt her blood and his and she hissed.
She tried to wiggle free but all she could manage was a gasp as her shoulder stabbed.
Its dislocated, its just dislocated.' but the blood down her arm was from that deep gash. Stupid sharp shooters, couldnt they aim? Finaly she gained some sense of balance and forced herself from his arms. She staggered and turned around, somewhat angry at him.
'You! Idiot!' she screetched at him, clinging to the hot red rock for support.

Tidus was in a sleep-walk state and he looked down at Shou as she looked around disorientatedly. She was pretty, if only her personality was a bit.. prettier.
The next thing he knew, Shou was on her feet, but he didnt turn around. He heard her screetch idiot, but before he did anything, the ground rushed up to meet him.

Shou watched as Jay fell and she gave a disaproving sigh and stagged over to him. She sat and stared at him for a few minutes, unable to believe that there was another Astor, and that he had jumped to save her. She pulled out the ring and gave it a gently stroke to make sure it was clean before she looked to the sky.
'Thankyou, father' she sighed and looked at Jay. She should tend to those wounds, plus, she was sure she heard more Condors and sharp shooters.
Taking Jay from under his arms, not caring about her shoulder, she pulled Jay towards a small, unsafe looking cave. But she was sure it was better than out in the open. With a hiss, she fell onto the ground herself, heaving as she twisted to look at Jay. Leaning over him, she stared at his short before she tore it to see the extent of his damage. Her pack was out with the bike, she would have to get it, bandage both of them up before he bled to death. Her fingers softly stroked his forehead. He had saved her life, possibly in more ways then one
'Thanks Jay,'For everything ou have done so far. but ill still kick your butt, i promise you that.'. She slipped his ring back on his finger and then jumped up to retrieve her pack.

When Jay woke, he was sitting up against the rock, a small candle burning beside him. He glanced around, not knowing anything for a second before he sat up straighter and looked for Shou. He noticed a bandage wrapping around his bare chest, and a warm blanket over him. Scratching his head, he noticed the ring back on his finger and he smiled to himself. At least, maybe, he had made an allie. He had a mission, and he wasnt going to give up on it now.

Jay was wondering through the city, eyes cast down and biting his lip. He bumped into a man, but instead of being pushed away, the man grabbed him and pulled him into an ally way, blood red eyes staring at him intently.
'You know who you are, take this and restore the light.' the man said before he shoved a something cool into his hand. Jay was stunned and before he could do anything, the man was gone and Jay was staring down at a small metal necklace, the hawk's wings twisted above its head in a sort of grip, and a small crystal shaped in a feather hanging below it, holding the bird up.'
