Liratheia stood along side her fellow priestesses, she wore a deep dress of green, embroided with a vulture spreading it's wings across her back, her face was covered with a veil and only her straight dark hair could be seen. Liratheia was the dedicated priestess of the Goddess Nephthys, she of Immortality, Justice, Water, Weather, Wild Birds, Moon and Night, The Underworld. She was standing closest the the prince Atemu, as was watching carefully as a gypsy was brought forth, stand still she watched as the woman was thrust to the ground by royal guards, her fist instinct was to lash out at such unlawful treatment, but she remained standing.

The gypsy clearly wasn't easily broken. Even after being thrown to the floor, she snarled at at her captors, biting down on the gag in her mouth. She turned her accusing glare onto those in front of her, sitting and standing around the thrones. They didn't deserve her respect.
"Pharaoh," one of the men said in a booming voice, dropping to his knees and bowing. "We bring you this beautiful desert flower for you to use as you please." He got up quickly, making his way to the girl, pulling her hair back and moving her face to different angles. The gypsy yanked away from his grasp, baring her teeth. There was no fear in her expression. The man chuckled. "Feisty, yes, but a beauty none the less."

Waiting with baited breath, she strained her ears to hear what the pharaoh had to say, it was not unlike him to hand out cruel punishments to those who be undeserving, and as the priestess of Nephthys, she felt she would have to speak out if such orders were given.

As the guard lifted the gypsy girls chin Atemu felt sorry for her and glanced at his father deciding to bide his time.
His father regarded the woman for a long time, descending the stairs to walk in circles around her, stroking his false beard. The queen watched mournfully from her own throne, knowing that if he kept this woman, it would well be the end of any love life she had with her husband. "I do not know what i would do with her..." The Pharaoh eventually said, obviously more loyal to his wife than he seemed, "A dancer perhaps? Though i doubt she do so willingly..."
Now was Atemu's chance to act. "Father." He addressed in his powerful voice, standing up, the sunlight dancing off the golden surface of his head dress. The priests directly behind him, those who served Ra, bowed down to him recognising him since birth as Ra's embodiment on earth.
The Pharoah turned to face the boy, an eyebrow raised. "What is it my son?" He asked.
"Please father, if you have no use for the girl please give her to me." He pressed a tanned hand to his chest, golden armband glinting like his eagle head.
The Pharaoh looked curious and stroked his fake beard for a moment longer before he nodded. "Alright." He gestured to some of the priestesses of Nepthys. "Have the girl cleaned up and properly dressed, then send her to Prince Atemu's chambers." The Pharaoh climbed the stairs to resume his throne.
If the gypsy girl could have seen Atemu's eyes behind the mask, she would have seen only pity in their depths.

The gypsy woman glared at Pharaoh as he examined her, until the man beside her forced her head down to stop her from being disrespectful. She gritted her teeth. She looked up again as the Pharaoh's son stood and spoke, eyeing him with disgust. How could these people expect others to respect them when they respected no one themselves? She gave a muffled protest as she was dragged to her feet again.

Atemu noted that the gypsy girl looked at him with eyes filled with hatred. He sighed and looked away from her, he then stepped forward, gold twine sandals making no noise on the polished floor. He knelt before his father's throne, pressed a fist to his heart and then straightened, turning to lead the room, headed for his own chambers.

Gathering the lower order priestess, they desended the steps to bow before the Pharaoh, eyes filled with remorse for the gypsy, she set about making arangements for the woman. Walking over to the gypys she asked the guards to escort her to the maids chambers, walking infront of the group she heard the gypsies struggles to be free.

The gypsy girl continued to struggle and protest, but it was to no avail. Though it may have not been so noticeable to those who had just encountered her, her strength was failing. Being dragged along in the desert sun all day with no stop for food or drink was getting to her. Her movement was starting to get a little sluggish and her resistance a little weaker. She looked far from given up though.

Atemu had reached his room and was filling his golden sink with water for the Gypsy to wash up in. He'd also got the cooks to bring up a bowl of fresh fruit for when his new guest arrived. Now he was standing by his window, staring out across the golden glow of the city through the dark eyes of his head dress, enjoying the rays of sunlight.

Leading the small group into the princes chambers she bowed low to the floor in respect, "Highness, I have brought you the gypsy as requested" Standing straight she motioned for the guards to bring her in.

The gypsy tried to fight off the hands that held her as she was pulled into the room. In the end, she was shoved to the ground, before being pulled up roughly to her knees. Her fists clenched in their shackles and she glared at the people around her, eyes filled with hatred. Animals were treated better than she was right now.

"Thankyou Lira." Atemu said, turning away from the window and descending the stairs and offer the priestess a hand. "I assure you, i will look after her." He said gently before releasing her and pressing a fist to his heart. "I will call you if i need anything." He dismissed her gently before looking up at the guards and dismissing them in a much cruder fashion. "Leave us!" He commanded, and they fled instantly, leaving the Gypsy shackled where she was.
Once the Priestess and the Guards were gone, Atemu knelt before the Gypsy girl, his face still obscured by his eagle mask. "I apologise for the cruelties of my people."
((I will have a priestess that yu can interact with for now Avi))

Bowing her head to the prince she exited the room, followed by the guards. Walking in the opposite direction to them the descended spirling stairs to the shrine dedicated the Nethphys, to find the lower orders giving offering to the Goddess. Taking up an inscence she said a prayer for the gypsy girl, for Nethphys to look over her and protect her from harm.

The gypsy stayed still as the guards pulled away, however her expression of distaste remained. She watched the Prince near from underneath stray strands of ebony hair, pulling away from him as he knelt in front of her. Her expression didn't falter even when he spoke. It was clear that a simple apology wasn't going to right anything here.

Atemu sighed and straightened, reaching up to remove the golden eagle head, his black eyes becoming golden as the sunlight hit them. He set the head dress aside and picked up the little key the guard had left for him, kneeling down he showed it to the Gypsy. "I'm going to unshackle you. There is a bowl of water in my wash room..." he gestured to the doorway, "There i'll let you clean up, by then our food will be here, and you can eat as much as you like." He gave a kind smile, "I only ask that you don't pass judgment on me so callously as you intend and at least give me a chance to help you heal. Then, i'll let you go." He paused, still holding the key up as he waited for her answer.
Eshe placed the bowl of offering on Nepthys altar, eyes turning to see Liratheia entering and going into silent prayer. She would wait for her friend to finish before she attempted to speak with her.
