Aerith soon emerged with Reeve's tea, handing it to him carefully.
"Here you go," she smiled, before taking a seat beside Zack, rubbing Ashlynn's back gently.
"How is the restoration of Gongaga going?" she asked, just to make idle conversation.

Reeve sipped his tea and sighed in appreciation. He then put the mug down and turned to Aerith to answer her question as both she and Zack peered at him questioningly.
"Since the tunnels were closed work's sped up. The locals planted their last row of crops yesterday and the WRO teams are just finishing up work on a sprinkler system for them. Once that is done all we can do is wait and see if the crops grow this time." He picked up his tea and took another swig, "If they do, then Gongaga is complete, if not we'll have to see if there is any other way we might be able to make the soil usable."
"That's good." Zack said with a relieved smile.

Aerith smiled too, looking up to Zack.
"That'll make your father happy..."
She kissed the top of Ashlynn's head tenderly.
"I bet he'll want the kids to come out on the farm once its up and running again," she smiled.

Aerith giggled, giving Zack a very gentle shove. She didn't want to disturb the children.
"Just because you find it all so boring. I think it would be nice. I would have given anything to grow up somewhere nice like Gongaga."
She smiled teasingly.
"I think you might find the kids will like the country."

Zack put on a pout and looked disappointed, "So when we visit my folks, you'll all have a blast and i'll be bored witless." He laughed slightly and shook his head, "Nah, the country is beautiful... just a bit too quiet for my tastes."

Reeve blasted a good amount of tea out of his mouth as Aerith made her comment, and after a few sputtering coughs he broke into such loud laughter that Cait Sith and Farvardin stopped wrestling and looked over to see what the fuss was.
"I'll just pretend i didn't hear anything." He said when he finally managed to stop laughing.
Zack just grinned stupidly like a school boy and winked at Aerith mischievously.

Aerith giggled.
"That's what most people do," she replied.
She smiled as she saw Ashlynn stirring at the commotion around her.
"Hello there," she whispered. "Are we too loud for you baby?"
She looked up to Zack with a smile.
"Can I take her? Or do you want the both of them all to yourself?"

"I want them both to myself, but because i'm a generous person i'll let you have her." He gingerly offered Aerith the baby girl.

Aerith smiled, taking the blinking infant tenderly.
"How kind of you," she replied, poking out her tongue.
The tiny girl blinked again as she watched her mother's face before she broke into a grin and gave a musical giggle. Aerith looked down to her with a surprised laugh.
"Oh, so now you're finding everything amusing now too?"
