People are looking at them (one has had 26 views, others range between 6 and 26 views) They're increasing traffic to the forum (our adds are getting lots of views on their forums).

I 'read' them to get rid of them in my unread section of my app... Which entails me clicking the thread then immediately clicking back. But idk... How does everyone else feel about them?

You two know you can favourite threads, right? Or bookmark them, or whatever.
Just save the threads you wanna read, then go through them there.
On the topics of the advertisements themselves, we're working to expand; the idea is to have a huge batch of active members, not have 30-odd members where only 10 or so of them are active. The ads help this; it brings people in and advances the site beyond what it is now.

For of change of topic point (and a legitimate point as i just found this out and would have written it anyway) - DID YOU KNOW THEY HAVE GRAPE POCKY =D but... it's only sold in Japan.... a specific area of Japan.... called Nagano... that i've never even heard of  |

It's not necessarily only sold there.. it's just not sold in Australia any more. Maybe that's a good thing though... I don't think either of us would have teeth any more if it was.
