Cthar moved away now to address his own troops, speaking in their own language which Cass didn't bother to translate using her software built into her suit. It wasn't even worth eavesdropping on she was sure XD just some sort of powerful motivational speech accompanied by a warning about what he would do to them all if they harmed on of the humans. "Alright ladies, let's get this show on the road," Cass said, gesturing for her squad to start moving forward.

The squadron all prepared their weapons and began their march, Alex in the front of the group, behind Cass though, followed by Maran, then Axel, then Scarlet and then Maxus, with Saika tagging along on the rear.
The peculiar Sanghelli listened intently to their commander's orders before preparing their weapons and following the rest of the troop beside the ODSTs into the battle.

The rather large squad had begun to progress deep into the enemy terrain by now, practically silent.

Several of the Elites and the Humans stopped abruptly as movement appeared on their sensors. Axel crept forward, famous for his light-footed-ness and talent for moving "under the radar", peeking through the bushes very carefully and immediately grimacing, turning back to his squadron and the Elites, miming out that there was a large number of Brutes accompanied by Grunts and a pair of rather fierce-looking Hunters in the clearing, and he also made note that there looked like there were Drones in the trees. Alex silently swore to himself: that many enemies was sure to make things difficult...he could only hope that the Elites' strength and proficiency in battle would be enough of a boost to their collective strength to beat down such a sizeable force.
The Ultra scowled at the note of what they were up against, looking like it might have snorted indignantly if it didn't have to keep quiet. Both the strange Elite and Alex turned to their respective commanders, to seek guidance. Alex's squad followed suit, glancing between each other briefly before seeking their orders.

"We will handle the brutes," Cthar rumbled immediately, keeping his voice down. "We'll go in first and attempt to take down as many as possible while concealed." "The moment we hear gunfire we're moving in," Cass countered immediately, making her authority here known. To her surprise the Sangeheili commander didn't seem bothered by her interjection. "Focus your fire to the skies, destroy the drones first, we will then take the Hunters together," he seemed to stumble slightly when using the human terms for their ex-covenant-cohorts. "You heard that troopers," Cass said, turning to her squad, "the moment the enemy sees the elites and fires we move in to handle the drones. Short controlled bursts."
By now Cthar had passed his orders on to his striketeam and one by one they were disappearing from sight as they activated their active-camouflage.

The ODSTs nodded their understanding and moved forward silently to position themselves at the ready, to wait for the moment to move.
The Ultra listened intently to the orders of Cthar before moving, activating their active camouflage. The Elites crept out into the clearing, heading straight for the brutes and once they were all in position they were given the signal by their commander and beat the brutes over the backs of their heads, killing them instantly. There were only a few left and though they reacted immediately to the disturbance, the Elites were still in active camo, so fighting them was difficult. At the moment the enemy attacked, the ODST squad jumped from the bushes, aiming their weapons to the skies and aiming for the drones. The bugs fell quickly, but there were so many that it made it difficult to get them all quickly. By now the Brutes were dead and the Elites were dodging Hunter beams while trying to thin out the numbers of grunts. The Ultra had discarded their Plasma Rifle now, the sheer number of grunts depleting its batteries swiftly, and was wielding a pair of deadly plasma swords, hacking down groups of Grunts with speed and skill. It was easy to see how the Sanghelli had achieved its rank.
