Sigma had taken the brief pause as an opportunity to inspect her wound. The foam was holding up well, stopping her from bleeding to death. It hurt a little, and inhibited her ability to lift her right arm above shoulder height, but she didn't feel that was a problem. She looked up from her inspection when Kylar motioned her forward and so she moved up silently to stand beside him, awaiting the orders.

When the other two slid up to him, Kylar opened a private COM channel. 'This building is huge, containing hundreds of rooms. It digs deep underground, and each room and hallway is packed with Covenant. I know I'd be able to make it myself, but when I grab the precious cargo, everything inside will know where I am. Here's what's going to happen. Rojas, pick out a team of ten ODSTs. Make sure they're still uninjured, and have plenty of fight left. They'll come with us. The rest will make it back to the LZ, and prep the evac point. Us three, and those ten, will fight our way into the centre of the building and take what we need.' Rojas nodded, then quickly went about his orders. Kylar checked his ammo, and found he was perfectly fine.

Sigma didn't bother moving, not needing to take care of anything. The most she did was take her shotgun back from the ODST she'd passed it off too, returning his battle rifle. She then pulled back the loading mechanism, putting in a few more shells before pumping the weapon back into battle-ready state. She'd wait for the order to continue impatiently, all the while filing through files upon files of information she'd been given on this particular mission, specifically those about the SPARTAN II known as Kylar. Though she was unsure why, she'd been told to study up on him.

Kylar waited for Rojas to get back with his selected team, and when he did, the Spartan moved off down the hallway, battle rifle at the ready. He got to the first door on the left and checked the building layout he'd gotten. 'Okay, there's a fair few heat signatures in this first room, and about the same in the room about ten metres down on the right hand side. Sigma and I will take the rooms on this side; Rojas, it's your job to lead the charge down the right hand side. Make sure you stop anything moving towards an alarm system. Go.'

While Rojas and his men dashed off to do Kylar's bidding, Sigma fell in step behind the SPARTAN. "You know, i'm beginning to get the impression i'm the favourite here." She said, her voice holding a slight tone of amusement.

Kylar inclined his head towards his partner, amused that Sigma would say such a thing. 'Maybe you are. But maybe you're just the best team-mate I've ever had, and I know that we work well together. No point in disrupting the natural order.' Kylar settled into a crouch near a large group of enemies. 'Enemy patrol, twelve o'clock. We'll take them out, but make sure we deal with the two Elites first. On my mark...' The Spartan brought up his BR, and also pulled out a frag grenade. He pushed in the button and gently threw it into the middle of the group. One grunt saw it, looked away, then looked back and freaked out in the three seconds the grenade took to explode. 'NOW!' Opening fire, Kylar charged out at the vulnerable squad.

Sigma moved as she'd been ordered to, firing her shotgun once she was at a range that it would be successful. One elite's stomach didn't take her shotgun shell so well and the massive creature went down with a howling wail. The second turned, hearing its comrade fall and hailed Sigma with a rain of white hot plasma. She backpedaled a few steps, taking several plasma bolts to the helmet and the upper shoulder region. The optics in her helmet fizzled briefly before resolving their issues on their own. Once she could see again she opened fire, not even seeming largely bothered by her newly acquired plasma scoring.

Having taken down one Elite, and enough Grunts to make them panic endlessly, Kylar launched himself at the last Elite, shoulder charging it into the wall. Now that it was stunned, the Spartan threw it to the ground and, pulling out a knife, stabbed it in the spine. He quickly turned and threw the small blade and watched as it sunk hilt-deep into a Grunts neck. With the speed only a Spartan could have, Kylar pulled out his BR again and gave off two quick headshots to the remaining Grunts that Sigma hadn't gotten. After checking the hallway outside of the door, he returned to Sigma. 'You alright? That plasma burn looks bad.'

Sigma was nursing a wound on her shoulder when Kylar returned, but she looked up and gave him a thumbs-up when he asked her if she was OK. "Stings like a mother-bitch." She replied, rotating the injured shoulder a few times just to make sure it was still functioning before, "But i'm right." She tapped the side of her helmet a few times, having some visual optics problems. "Having a few optic hiccups, but I'm still good to go." She kicked the split-jawed head of the elite that had wounded her with a toe, taking in every tiny detail about the creature, making private notes about weak points and differences between one elite and another - mostly out of personal intrigue.

Kylar nodded and stood up to full Spartan height. He was about to head off in a jog before Command dialled in. 'Alpha, this is Command. New waypoint and sub-objective for you. Stand by.' Kylar rolled his eyes inside his helmet. As if we don't have enough already... 'Go ahead Command, Alpha ready.' Onyx Team Alpha, the last Onyx team active, had a pretty basic command structure. Command would give Kylar orders, parameters, or, like in this circumstance, new sub-objectives. In turn, Kylar would distribute them out to the team, and formulate a POA according to them. 'Alpha, the shipboard AI suggests a possible human weapons cache in the munitions base. Verify the rumour, take what you need, and destroy the room before continuing on. Acknowledge.' 'Roger that, Command. Locate UNSC armoury, re-arm, and destroy. Waypoint received. Alpha out.' He turned to Sigma, and inclined his head towards the door. 'We've got some weapons to find. There's the waypoint. Race you.' In an instant, Kylar sprinted out the door.

Sigma tried not to let her exasperation about having ANOTHER new objective show. She just wanted this all to be over-with already. She was understandably tired and in pain, but like any good soldier, she didn't complain. She had to smack her helmet once or twice to get the waypoint to show, but once it was up she broke into a sprint to try and keep up with the SPARTAN.

Unnervingly, Kylar didn't run into any more Covenant on his way to the waypoint. As he approached the doorway with the weapons inside, he slowed right down to a walking crouch. Bringing his BR up, Kylar stopped next to the door and peered inside. Thankfully, it was empty. He motioned Sigma forward.

Sigma's breathing was rather heavy by the time she caught up with Kylar, her wounds beginning to get the better of her energy. She made no complaints however and crept forward as he motioned her too. She was unnerved by the lack of convenant, it didn't take a fool to assume that they were lying in wait somewhere...

Kylar edged forward slowly, keeping both an eye on his motion tracker and what he could actually SEE. Every now and then he'd catch snippets of gunfire and yells from the ODSTs much further back, and it distracted him, so he turned down the comm channel's volume.
The Spartan was incredibly alert about the absence of Covenant. Every sense of his was screaming at him to form a parameter before he headed towards the weapons cache. But Kylar couldn't see or hear anything nearby. 'Sigma, tap into the network and take any data you can. I'm gonna take the good stuff from here.'

It took just about ALL of Sigma's personality training NOT to whoop with joy when Kylar placed her in charge of gathering data. This was, after all, something she loved doing, for not-so-obvious reasons. She moved to the nearest terminal and began typing away, bypassing a great number of security protocols effortlessly. Even when the networks toughest walls showed up she didn't even break a sweat, glancing over her shoulder briefly to make sure Kylar wasn't watching before she disengaged the visor on her helmet. There was a protocol here, that required a specific eye recognition, normally anyone would take a tedious amount of time bypassing this system, but Sigma had a far more effective - though VERY secret - method. The beam scanned across the surface of her eerily hued eyes, one, twice, three times, then it cleared her for entry.
She quickly put her visor back down, typing away a few more times before she called out to Kylar. "I'm in." She said simply, despite her speed being a feat that even the techiest marines would never have managed. "Downloading." She pulled the chip out of her suit-board computer, inserting it into the terminal as she effectively extracted all available information. She then removed the chip and replaced it in her suit, turning to Kylar. "Done."
