Flick was too unaware of the evil lurking beyond the barrier as the day finally gave way to night. She sighed, standing and brushing herself off. "Jskar, it's getting late. We better leave," she said, waiting patiently for him.

After a slight hesitation, Flick called out to him, "Jskar, don't forget to meet me tomorrow... at the Tavern," she added so he would know where to go. She was supposing that she was to keep an eye on him from as early in the morning as possible.

Flick smiled, turning around to head back to her sleeping quarters behind the tavern. Now that she had this new job she would have to inform the tender of her resignation... which would also mean she would have to find a new place to live. v.v Ah, this whole thing was a lot more complicated at second glance.

Beth had rode into the Keshian kingdom just as the sun began to rise over the land. The castle was looming in the near distance, and Beth smiled under her hood as she pulled up Devonay momentarily to admire the view. However her smile was replaced by a look of puzzlement when she spotted the crowd building at the palace gates. Among them were half a dozen guards... accompanying two messengers from her land. Not completely knowing whether it was a good idea, she nudged Devonay back into a canter toward the castle gates.
