Lupin merely sat beside Maia for a while, before rising to address the rest of the pack. "Comrades, I do believe it is time to go out for a hunt. The storm has calmed down and it would be wise to search for food. After all, we wouldn't want to starve." He turned to gaze upon Bali and Maia and then padded towards her. He leaned down to emit softly. "Do not worry, M'dear. I'll be back shortly so take care of the pups." Then, he turned to Bali. "Would you mind coming too, Bali? It would be very helpful if you did so." He gave off a sort of smile as he spoke, making sure to seem as unintimidating as possible.

Maia raised her head and 'looked' in her mates direction "Of course Lupin, you need not worry i will guard the pups." She gave a weak mock smile and walked over to a corner barking for all the pups to come to her.

Bali looked up and wished to dissapear, how imbarrassing was it going to be when they all ssaw her not able to catch anything for the life of it? But she silently stood up anyway and looked at Lupin, waiting, like everyone else, for him to direct them out of the cave. This was going to be amusing, but not for her.

Maia listened to the shifting as she batted playfully at one of the pups that she was minding while the pack went out and hunted. He white fur rippled around her neck as she turned her head to the direction from which the sounds where coming from. She barked a goodbye to lupin and turned back to the cubs, pushing it from her mind how much she wanted her own.

Lupin gave a few sharp tongued orders to the other wolven in the cave before making a hastey exit. However, he made sure to give a nudge to Maia before leaving completely. And thus, the hunt began. Currently, he was searching for anything, anything edible...but so far his nose came up dry. A small, annoyed snarl resounded as he padded at the front of the group, ears pinned back clearly stating his aggitation.

Maia stared at the cave entrace occasionally nudging a pup that strayed to far. They were adorable and fluffy, and hopeully relativly normal, not enhanced like their folks. Perhaps these new traits wouldn't be genetic? She doubted it, humans were to smart for that.

BAli followed at the back, stopping occasionly to eat sparses of grass, not her uusual thing t be doing, but kept in a box only 10cms longer then her for her whole life unless the humans wanted to play a ball game was veryh diferent to this anyway. And the ball games would always include her as the ball. Very different.

Lupin continued to lead the pack, pausing here and there to sniff around for any signs of a possible food source. That's when he smelled it. An elk herd was off in the distance; grazing probably. Lupin turned to the pack and emitted a few soft orders; spreading out so that they could corner the herd. "Hurry now, but step lightly. You wouldn't want them to smell or hear you. This may be our only chance; be careful!" He softly spoke, however, it held a firm tone befitting that of the leader he was.

Bali's paws were frozen, she stood in the snow and just stared at the herd of elk, had any of these wolves ever hunted before? That thought that they may be as bad as her lightened her thoughs abit but then one of the elk jerked up its head and she saw the great size of the horn like branches on its head
