The snow crunched beneath clawed paws, the rustle of the trees drowned out most other sound. This rustling was the voice of the great spirit in Wolfwings ears. His wings were furled by his sides as he walked head held high and proud. He'd heard some disturbance a short was north from the hollow in which he had taken residence. He now walked throught a veil of trees.
Up on the ridge was a cave. This cave would otherwise not have drawn his attention, but a smell wafted from within. He gave a short howl, to him he had the most melodious voice i the world, it was high and crisp. This was to warn those in the cave that he was coming up, it was also to assert his size and alignment. He meant no harm, he was curious. However if he was attacked he was more then capable of defending himself.

His fur rippled across his muscular body as he began to climb the ridge, his tail fluttering behind him as a counterbalance for the extra weight he bore on his forelimbs. As he grew bored of climbing he decided it would be much easier to fly up. He flapped once, twice and was airbourne. it was a miracle of human engineering that he could fly, wolves were not built for the sky. He tilted his wings back and reached out with four legs as he landed on the cliff edge, gazing in at the wolves within the darkness. None of them appeared normal to him either, others had wings and even horns... these were obviously more who had been captured by the humans and genetically altered... but none looked like him
He stood awaiting one of them to approach him.

The great hellhound's ears had instantly perked at the vocalized howl, hackles rising at the scent that invaded his nare. Instantly, the alpha rose from his relaxed position in order to address the newcomer. The great beast approached the cave's entrance, gazing upon the avian/wolf with the utmost care and scrutiny. "What is your business, Brother?" He inquired, the dubbance being used as a peaceful term. "I do not mind your pressence here so long as you do not cause trouble...And...it seems that you are one of us as well." He absently emit while reclining upon his haunches to regard the fellow 'experiment' politely. "I heard your call from the distance. What can I do for you?" This inquiry was made before shifting his gaze into the direction of Bali and Maia. He hoped they'd stay back for now...until he could decipher as to whether or not this being meant them harm or not. After all, Lupin was quite the majestic alpha. Being as large as he was, he truly rivaled Wolfwing's size. In fact, he may have been slightly larger, given his bloodlines. The curled horns rolled to rest behind his ears as a ram's wood. The spiked tail like a whip, long and thing. It could easily encircle his seated form twice. Elongated talons, much longer than the typical wolven, were quite obvious, and two 8 ince long fangs protruded from his upper lip and went past his lower in a sabor-tooth fashion. Yes, this beast was the epitome of intimidation.

As lightfooted and silent as an owl the creature sat on his haunches, eyeing up the male that was near enough his size. He had never met one who looked thus, he had been changed as much as Wolfwing had.
"Naught but a greeting." He answered the alpha's question.
"Hello lady." He said rising and then lowering his shoulders and extending his wings in a bow to the two females who lay close to the cave edge. He eyed them both in a none threatening way, one seemed normal, the other held the blank staring gaze and milky blue eyes of one whose sight had been lost.
"Perhaps i will take my leave, you all seem content and therefore undoubtly dont require any service from one such as me..." He'd already taken a liking to this alpha... trusting, yet cautious, powerful, yet gentle, wise, yet young.
"But i think i may be able to provide a service for the impared in times of need..." His eyes found Maia and then returned to the alpha.
"I'll be around... if you need a friend." He bowed to the male and then turned to take his leave.

The alpha was perplexed by this enticing creature. This...fellow experiment was truly intriguing. "Wait! Brother, I do believe we could use anyone's aid at this time...You would be a welcomed addition to this pack, I assure you. And...please stop me if I offend you, but one such as yourself seems as though they, too, would need an...ally..or friend if you will." Lupin awaited a response before realizing he'd not formally introduced himself. How rude! Oh my...well, he'd most certainly fix that, wouldn't he?
"Ah! And, if you decide on taking your leave anyways...at least grace me with a name. I am dubbed Lupin. This is Maia...and the other is Bali. As for the others...I am sure that they'll introduce themselves as well.."

Wolfwing stopped and turned, lowering his rump to the stoney outcrop once more, eyeing the alpha respectfully.
"Me, join a pack say you? I have never needed one before..." He accidentally worded it a little more offencively then he had intended.
"Pardon me, that did not come out as i intended it... i have past had bad relations within a pack... and would rather not mess up the seeming harmonious atmosphere yours holds, even in a time of havoc like this..." He looked at the smaller female behind the alpha... Bali he had called her.
"But.... something tells me this pack is different... and therefore, for a time i will oblige." He lowered himself into a bow once more.
"You may call me wolfwing." He said straightening, none knew his real name, and he had long ago pledged none would... he believed if someone knew his real name, they could control him.

Instantly, the dark eyes of the great hellhound lit up; gleaming happily. Yes! Another wolven to add to their ranks. Hopefully, this one would prove to be useful...and Lupin could always use a friend. After all, he wasn't the most social of beings, this much was certain. The hellion instantly lowered himself into a slight bow as well. "I am glad, Brother Wolfwing. I do so hope that my beloved pack will suit you. I'll be sure to let the others know. Perhaps you shall introduce yourself properly to my mate, Maia? She would love the company, I am sure. And again, I do so appreciate your joining. You seem to have much experience." He pondered a moment. Truly, this pack had no hierarchy at the moment, no set hierarchy except his position as Alpha. He'd need to fix that. "Mm...Now...I must depart for a bit. I need to inform the others of your joining our pack...even if it might be for a short amount of time." A very faint smile appeared upon the great beast's mawline. Yes, he would be looking to this one for advice, this much was certain.

Wolfwing nodded silently as the alpha took his leave to inform the pack. Wolfwing turned his head to look at the wilderness beyond the cave mouth. The wind rippled through the trees sending a pleasant warming feeling up his spine.
I am glad you think i make the right choice mother... He spoke with no one, just the great spirit that was all around them. He then searched for the white femora that Lupin had indicated was his mate. It was the blind fae.
Wolfwing approached slowly, he would have lowered his head to show he was no threat, but being so egotistical as he was, his disliked the idea of showing any submission.
"Ladies." He said, bowing in his own fashion.

Lupin padded along, relaying the information that a new member of the pack has been found. All of them seemed to be perfectly fine with this development. That was good. He didn't wish to have a disagreement so soon. A sigh erupted from his mawline as he padded back towards his mate, Wolfwing, and Bali. The great beast made sure to take a seat a little ways off so as not to be rude. He didn't wish to interrupt their forming conversation.

Bali hadn't noticed the male until he had addressed Maia and herself. She lifted her head off of her paws and vaguly twitched her ear to hear what Lupin was saying, catcging onto 'new member of the pack'. Bali's ears twitched back to her scull; instant submission. She definitly was not intimidating or an angry wolf, her only main fear was just that she'd get hurt... or at least that was what she expected; it seemed a good veiw; if you expect the worst then the good will seem brilliant, although in her case it was just... expect the worst.
Bali glanced at Maia quickly before back at the hellhound, her head almost scratching against the patters of snow.

Maia heard the wolfs approach and stood. Sniffing the air around him, forming a picture by the smell like she seemed to be able to do. The aura she saw was white... she'd never seen white before...
"Sir." She responded with her own bow.
"I am Maia. And this is Bali." She brushed Bali comfortingly with her bushy tail.

[Sparkles]

Bali glanced at Maia and gave a faint smile in Maia's direction, she'd been nice thrus far to her and she respected her greatly for that. The smile disapeared into an unsure gaze once she was looking back at Wolfwing. She was intinidated by unintimidating wolves so you could guess what she was feeling about him.

Lupin merely sat some more, idly wondering when Ahnghel would be found once again. He deeply missed the starch white wolf. After all, he was his best friend and ally...and also the one whom tamed him. Soon enough, the great beast let his ears fall back upon his massive skull and emit a small sigh. Form lowered to that of a resting position; head placed upon outstretched forepaws. Where could the angelic wolven be?

Ah the irony of such a thought. It just so happened that Ahnghel was having difficulties in seeking out the pack in which he'd been named Beta. Le sigh. He'd find them soon enough. He just needed to be patient.

Wolfwing gazed at the small timid wolf and smiled warmly, trying to make her feel he was no threat to her.
"Great spirit guide you all." He said with a nod, turning his attention to the alpha once more.
"Lupin was it? Alpha, who is it you seek to find, i could fly and find them for you." He stretched his wings. How could he tell Lupin hoped someone would come? Well that's the trick isn't it, the great spirit showed him many things others didn't think he could see.
