Ashlynn clung to her father's vest, pulling the warm material close.
"I don't want you to go," she sniffed.
Aerith gathered up Ynyr properly now, holding him tenderly to her chest. She shifted to make room for Zack, looking up to him with heartbroken greens. She didn't know what to do, let alone what to say...
Tidus laughed as he stretched his back, watching Yuna intently.
"Oh, I have plenty in mind," he teased.
"But sadly what appeals to me most is a good sleep... I am getting old."

Zack sighed as he settled himself down beside Aerith and held his daughter tightly, wishing to whatever gods there were that he didn't have to go... or at least that he could have gone alone and made Aerith stay here with the children.
"Ashlynn, you remember all the stories daddy told you about the hero who had to save the world don't you?" He asked, gently stroking her face and staring at her pale blue eyes, mako filled like his own.

Yuna moaned slightly. "Oh your not getting old, don't you dare use that as an excuse" Yuna spoke forcefully pointing at him. "Because if you think your old, that means I am old.. and i am NOT old!" She spoke as she walked up the beach to him and poked him hard on the bare chest.

Tidus laughed, rubbing the spot on his chest that she'd poked.
"In that case, I take it back," he grinned, scooping Yuna up gently threshold-style.
Aerith kissed the top on Ynyr's head as Zack sat beside her, holding him close and shifting in against Zack.
Ashlynn nodded, still staring up to her father, tears falling down her cheeks as she blinked.

Ynyr curled in against his mother, dead silent. His eyes glistened slightly, but the boy did not cry.
"The hero always comes back doesn't he Ashie?" Zack said, wiping away his little girls tears, "And daddy will be back as soon as he's done." He smiled and winked at her, "And he'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures you drew for him when he returns."

Yuna gripped tightly onto Tidus as he surprised her by picking he up high off the ground. She giggled excitedly with her arms entwined around his strong neck. She pushed a small lock of hair from his deep ocean eyes, and gave him a sweet gentle kiss.
" Don't let me fall now" Yuna said even though she completely trusted him.

"Never," Tidus grinned, tightening his hold to prove his point.
He kissed her back tenderly, before breaking into a jog back to the house.
Ashlynn hesitated, but then she nodded.
"I'll draw you pictures," she agreed, giving a little smile as her father winked at her.
"Lots and lots of pictures..."

"That's my girl." Zack said, kissing Ashlynn's forehead. With that settled he leaned over to kiss Aerith, brushing his son's head at the same time.
"Yuffie and Kunsel shouldn't be too long..."

Yuna held on tight as Tidus jogged away with her. Once they reached the house, Yuna kicked the door open slightly so Tidus wouldn't have to let her go, and kissed her man gently on the neck.

Within the hour, there was knocking at the door. Aerith sighed, kissing Ynyr then Ashlynn, before transferring her son onto Zack's lap, kissing him too.
"I'll get the door," she said very quietly.

Zack took Ynyr gently as the little boy leaned in against him, he had one arm around each of his children and his heart was heavy as Aerith went to go get the door.
"Hey Aerith..." Kunsel greeted when the flower woman opened the door, "Hope we were quick enough...?"

Aerith opened her mouth to reply, but choked. She settled for a nod, moving out of the way for the two to enter.
Yuffie was the first to enter, giving Aerith a hug as she passed.

Kunsel walked in, a concerned expression on his face, and found Zack on the couch holding his children in what could have only been desperation.
"What's going on man? Was that Squall out the front?" He frowned, "What's going on?"
