[Cloud Strife]

Damien paused in his scratching, furrowing his brow. He suddenly leaned down and allowed his fangs to extend before pressing the tips against his werewolf companion's neck...A soft hiss escaped Damien - the temptation having taken over. For any lesser vampire, those fangs would already be embedded into Sebastian...However, Damien wasn't exactly average. He was doing this to prove to Seb that vampires were monsters...completely and totally.

Seb looked up at Damien and blinked.
<My teeth are bigger.> Yup... Seb wasn't at all concerned about Vampires. Which was probably a good thing.
<Also, if you were to bite me just now.... i'd just bite back. And my bite isn't neat enough to leave pin holes.> He gave a morbid chuckle.

Amusement suddenly danced in those eyes of the vampire's. He lifted his head away from the temptation and chuckled a bit - allowing his fangs to retract and go back to their original length. "True enough. However, just because you have bigger teeth doesn't mean that I cannot enact as much damage internally as you could do externally. I could drain you or any other being of your life's blood in an instant if I wished to. I'm old for a vampire, though I look young enough to be your brother...."

Seb shrugged wolfishly and blinked in an unimpressed fashion.
<I don't think my blood would be terribly tasty. Also, if you really wanted to make me your next meal, it wouldn't do me any disfavor. I would only be dead and free of this damned curse.> Seb wasn't a negative person, but he lived each day unafraid of death, because things could only get better.

[Cloud Strife]

Damien blinked, slightly surprised by his reaction. "Curse..? Oh Sebastian...I don't see your infliction as a curse. I see it as fascinating, wonderous. Then again, I tend to be very optimistic about the wierdest of things. As for you tasting bad, however, I have to disagree." He smirked then, before finally placing a scritch or two behind his ears.

Seb snorted.
<It would be great fun being werewolf... if i could choose when i change and take away the agony...> He wasn't a negative person remember, so this was all in fairly good humor, though he did mean it. Again he whuffed in a pleased fashion as Damien scratched behind his shaggy black ears.

Damien sighed and gave him a sort of awkward half-hug. "Oh, well, everything has a downside, if not two, Sebbie. I mean, being a vampire isn't all flowers and bunnies, either. C'mon. For example, I drink blood. -_- From people, usually. If I don't, I become weaker...become prey to those stronger than I." He shrugged again before suddenly stopping the scritching and leaning backwards to look up at the stars. "See? Nothing is perfect in this world, Seb. Look on the bright side of things, rather than the dark side."

<Bunnies? Where?> Seb grumbled raising his head and looking around. Then as his vampire friend looked up to the heavens and asked him to focus on the bright side Seb frowned.
<I don't know if there is a bright side...> Every positive person has their doubts, and here is Seb's. He doesn't think things will get any better for him. He doesn't think they'll get worse either, he's accepted his lot in life.

Damien shifted his gaze to land upon his friend. "Well...I think there's a bright side. For me, it's you. My friend. My friends always make things better for me." He stated simply before sending him a wink. "I don't get many friends, often, Seb...so I am thankful for each and every one."

Seb stared at Damien with his wolfish eyes silently for some time before he looked at his paws.
<I've never had a friend before....> He said. <it least not for a long time...> He stood and shook, stretching to crack his back before settling down in close by the side of his new friend and companion.
<You wouldn't leave would you Damien?> He asked. His friends from when he was human had all abandoned him.

Damien instantly gave him a sympathizing look, before running a hand along his werewolf companion's back. "No. I won't leave. Once I make a friend, I attempt at doing my damnedest to keep that friend eternally." He stated, before smiling again softly. "I'm not sure I can prove it...except with time...So, you'll just have to take my word for it, I guess."

The werewolf nodded.
<Sounds good to me. And i will be your friend for as long as my heart beats.>

((Whats your thoughts on Werewolves? I don't class them as undead, therefore they're mortal))

(In my mind, werewolves are mortal because they can be killed by normal means. However, they have unnaturally long lifespans when compared to humans.)

Damien smiled again. "That's good to know." He said before glancing back up at the stars. "You know...? I used to hate being a nightdweller... They very thought of being condemned to such a fate tore at my insides. I hated being a parasite - something that fed from humans...and gave nothing back to them in return for the meal. At times, I still feel like the bane of all existance...and it pains me to come in contact with a human when I do. That is why I try to avoid it as much as possible.."

((OK you're the same as me then ^^. Some people place Werewolves in a similar catagory to Vampires, but i dont))

Seb decided it was his turn to be the encourgaing, positive one.
<If you weren't a nightdweller i would be alone. I will still be out at night on non-full moons... i've essentially become nocturnal anyway.> He gave a wolfish grin.
<And i wouldn't call you a parasite. When a lion eats an antelope, is he not feeding off one creature and giving nothing in return? Isn't a human eating the roots of a carrot plant and giving nothing in return?>

Damien shrugged. "But that is essentially what a parasite is, Sebastian. However, I am closer to the parasite than anything else...after all, I suck the blood of humans in order to survive..while at the same time harming them." He then turned to Seb again and offered him a small smile. "And thank you. I appreciate your friendship...It is good to know that I have someone I can chat with like this...beneath the blanket of stars above...Oooh, poetic. I'm good." He grinned then before suddenly falling backwards and emitting a grunt. Mm...staring up at the stars was always fun for Damien..Peaceful.
