'Do I frighten you, Miss Render?' Xuan was acting closer to himself, meaning that his eyes carried his emotions a lot better then the rest of his body; now being cautious... and a tiny bit playful. The tiger wasn't the only charmer on the celestial; but Xuan was never very outward with 'wooing' women. It, unlike with Bai, was not one of his sports. But he was trying to be sweet.

Kai started to shake her head and then stopped and nodded slowly.
but.... pretty much everyone one does... Suddenly Kai began to cry heavily.
I can't take it all... Her hand darted out to grip her glasses again. I can see.... i can see people dying all around me! And yet i can't DO anything about it!

You can. But I will teach you that once we return." Xuan sat upon the bed beside her and apprehensively placed his hand on her shoulder -making sure he only placed it lightly. "Besides, I would think you a fool if you were not afraid of me. There is only one who is not, so don't worry yourself over it. I am not sad. I am not hurt, and I will not hurt you."

Kai slowly opened her eyes, and turned hers to meet his, even if they quivered nervously.
i... She hesitated [/i]I don't think i fear you as much as i should.... you saved my life...[/i]

She earned a smile for that. "And you are most welcome. I would like to know why are not out enjoying yourself with the others?" his hand unconsciously stayed in place. He grinned, "I hope for Bai Hu and Micheal's sakes that he has not taken them into any clothing stores"

Bai led them into the shop. Instantly there were 6 women crouding around; taking off Bai's jacket and asking if there was anything they could do to make the 5 of them more comfortable"[/b]
Bai glanced to Mai, smirking, then back to the woman who had addressed him, "Yes, you can. I would like you to take these two fine young women and do anything and everything they want." he purred. Simone was jumping up and own beside him, while Leo looked unhappy about Bai only mentioning the girls. Micheal chuckled at his expression; earning him a discrete punch to the gut.

Mai had been just about to have a shot at Bai for being blatantly flirtatious with these women while out with another when he essentially told them she could have what she wanted.... BIG mistake."[/b] Grinning Mai darted off, looking through racks and racks of clothes, and others trims and tricks.
There were gonna be a lot of bags.
"Hey Leo hun, whadaya think of this one?" She asked, holding a dress over herself and flaring the skirt out. She didn't know why she'd asked him, he just seemed like the honest type who'd give her an honest opinion.

Kai gave a small chuckle.
I hope he doesn't give Mai free range... or he'll be broke in five minutes... she's a shopaholic.

Xuan chuckled, "Doubtful considering his ability with metal. My guess is that he makes it while he shops... but i wouldn't know, as i do not shop. Leo and Simone do my shopping for me. For example, these pants have been thrown out twice. I found them in the trash and managed to sneak them back inside. Leo glares at me every time he sees them" he lifted his leg off of the ground, making the faded legs and cut knees of the black full length pants stand out. He looked pleased when he had mentioned his ability to sneak them back inside safely.

Bai grinned when Mai took off and went with Simone over to a section of toys, where she promptly began to play with and then hand him metal trucks and spoons from tea sets. He would float them in the air and make Simone jewelry at the same time. A delicate chain with a small tiger pendant was also made. The tiger hid that away in his pocket.

Leo walked over to Mai and scrutinized the dress. "Nope. That colour doesn't suit your skin-tone. Try this" he grabbed one of the dresses that the women were pushing to Mai before dismissing them for the time. He handed her an elegant light pink/purple cocktail length dress, "Try this on. 'm going to be over there. I saw something that would suit The Dark Lord. I am trying to get him to wear lighter colours" he frowned slightly, dwelling on his attempts so far.

Impressed by Leo's choice Mai raised an eyebrow and accepted the dress, disappearing into a change room where she promptly removed her camo pants and crop top and donned the beautiful mauve dress, enjoying the feel of the light material flowing around her legs. Pushing open the door she walked out and span.
"Look nice Bai?" She asked, grinning happily. If he said yes, then she'd likely buy the same dress in three or so different colours... enough just wasn't enough for Mai when it came to ANYTHING.

Kai giggled silently at this, her eyes glimmering somewhat with laughter as, sub-consciously, she placed the glasses back down beside her, rather then putting them on again as she'd originally intended.
Mai brings me something new every time she goes shopping... she's also tried time after time to get me to come with her but.... She trailed off and her eyes grew sad again I don't like going out places with her.... because people might get hurt.

Simone was on the floor laughing histerically when Bai looked up at Mai. The reason why she was laughing so much was that he had practically turned himself into a punk. Mercury earings dangling from most of his open right ear. His lip - twice. His eyebrow had a shark's tooth stud. But what had made Simone laugh the most was the bull's ring that was hanging from his nose. He looked at Mai innocently as if nothing was out of place and grinned, "You look very, very sexy" he growled deep in his throat in his ow sexy manner.
The women looked over at him and practically swooned at the sound joined with the sight; but he didn't bother with them.

Xuan lifted Kai's chin with a single finger so that he could see her eyes properly, "Your eyes are very pretty by the way. And you needn't worry about that an more. The only ones who will get hurt will not be in any way your friends, family, or acquaintances of any kind. They will be the demon. The scum"

Kai's whole body trembled from Xuan's touch as she tried so hard to look at him and not be afraid. Mai had tried teaching her how to look beyond the aura, so that it wasn't all she could see, but quite often she couldn't do it, but right now, she could. The swirling black before her eyes vanished an all she could see was Xuan's face.
You promise? She asked, searching his eyes for any sign of lying, she needed to know she could trust him, she never wanted anyone hurt because of her ever again.

Mai grinned at Bai's surveyal of her dress and span around.
"Oh good good, Let's get it in blue, orange and black too! I'm sure Kai will love the black one." She disappeared into the change room and emerged normally clothed, before scooping the colours she'd said off the rack. She held the black one out to see.
"I really wish Kai would wear something other then black." She screwed up her face and put the black one back, then did the same with the orange. "I like these ones though, she held the purple and blue against herself." Yup, definitely.... now, let's see."[/b] She began scanning around the rest of the shop.
She was scanning a cabinet full of jewelery when her eyes widened and began to reflect that which glittered within.
"Wow..." She babbled. The necklace and earrings inside were beautiful, a diamond the size of your fist playing the center piece of the necklace.
With a sigh of longing she shrugged and walked on, chuckling to herself.
"Who are you trying to fool Mai? What would you ever do with diamonds." She snickered and returned to her browsing.

Xuan closed his eyes and removed his finger from beneath her chin. 'I do promise' he reassured her. He then opened his eyes again and smiled, "You have my word" he sighed, only slightly at a memory as it became fresh once again in his mind; but he ignored it. His eyes turned white, then back to normal and he shook his head, giving a small chuckle at what he had just been asked, "They will be returning soon. In about 20 minutes"

Bai Hu's eyes turned turned back to their normal colour. "We must be leaving soon, Mai... And Leo." he said the last part with a bit of regret. Leo was now trying on shoes and clothes also. Quite the designer.

"Naaww." Mai whined jokingly as she hurriedly searched the shelves for something for Kai.
"I ALWAYS get her something when i go out.... what to get her this time..." Then, she found the perfect gift.
'Ooh!" She said, grabbing the big thick leather elbow length glove and nodding.
"This is good, very good, now i won't tear her arm open every time she goes out..." Whenever Kai went out 'alone' Mai would perch upon her arm or shoulder in eagle form, now this glove would help protect Kai from her claws.
"Ok! I'm ready to go." She called out, heading to the counter to pay.

Kai caught his sigh and tilted her head.
Whats the matter? She asked.

Bai shot to his feet and was already relieving Mai of her purchases before she was at the counter. He handed over a shiny little card to the cashier. "Uh" the middle aged man at the counter raised his scruffy black eyebrow in Bai's direction before handing it back, "I don't believe that we do this card sir" he said in his fake english.
"Sure you do" Bai put the card on the counter and casually slid it back to the man.
The man hesitantly took the card and swiped it through the machine. His eyes widened at the money amounts that flashed onto the screen, though he tried to conceal his shock. Bai looked smug as he took the card back and slid it neatly back into a brown leather wallet and into the back pocket of his (unintentionally tiger patterned >.>) pants.

Xuan's expression hardened slightly and he shook his head, standing up. His long jacket lay around his feet for a moment before billowing behind him as he walked out. 'I will be back when The Tiger is back. He wishes to show us all something" his 'voice' was soft. NOt sad, or angry; just soft.

Kai nodded and curled up back to hug her legs again.

Mai looked at Bai is mock disapproval.
"I could have payed for those."

Bai smiled and held out his hand for Simone. It was promptly filled. "I know. But why? It's not as if it effects me. I've spent well over 30 million American dollars in one day before. And I was only window shopping with Michelle" he shrugged, "We have to be getting back at any rate. Leo, hurry up?"
Leo quickly paid for the clothing and met them inside a sports car. Leo driving. "Whenever you get bored in that 'little' apartment, My Darling, just hint to The Dark Lord and I'll be there in a jiffy" he gave her a wink as he opened her door. Micheal sat in the passenger seat and Bai sat in the back with the two girls.
