"Yeah... something happened," Gumshoe mumbled, his voice muffled by his hand which rested against his chin. "My pay check didn't drop this month... it's the same it was last year, and the year before that."
The detective blubbered with his face against his desk, looking thoroughly miserable.
"It just doesn't feel right when I don't get at least one pay-cut a year..."
Trucy opened the door and shuffled in, giving a merry greeting to Iris before offering the mobile phone over to Phoenix.
"She's scary sounding Daddy, be careful."

Ema put her hand on her hip, pushing her lab coat back. "Don't complain... otherwise they might reconsider," she laughed but was soon startled by a loud voice coming from beside her.
" Hey there!" Maggey said grabbing hold of Ema's hand and shaking it quickly.
"Good to be back in the precinct," she smiled happily walking into Gumshoe's office. "Oh dear... come on Gumshoe, get a smile on your face and get to work!" She stood up tall and straight, saluting the detective honorably.

Phoenix smirked a little as he took the phone.

"Firstly," Franziska began, her voice strange, "I am struggling to comprehend the fact that you actually found a woman crazy enough to live in your mad house, let alone fornicate with you."
It was a typical Franziska quip that was an integral part of who she was as a person, and affectionate in its own strange way.
"Secondly, I have access to the information you want, I just need a few days to get it. I have a condition on giving it to you however..."
Gumshoe sat up from his desk the moment Ema scolded him, offering a somewhat feeble apology. The sheepish expression on his face only deepened when Maggey appeared.
"I'm sorry Mags, I guess I'm just really not feeling dedicated to my work right now."
He sighed before looking over to Ema, "you feel it too don't you ma'am? There's just no life on the court these days..."

Ema placed a finger on her forehead like she was taken a little by Gumshoe's question. "I know what you mean, it has been a long time though," she replied, holding her arm with the other. She remembered when she was first studying in L.A. The cases were dealt with differently and there was so much to do, she missed that, and the people she worked with.
Maggey sighed and sat down on the other side of the room "Why don't we do something about it then?" she thought out loud.

Phoenix laughed quietly at Franziska's insult, not bothering to correct her. He never did these days. To him, Trucy was blood. Simple as that.
"Provided as it has nothing to that whip of yours..."

"The whip will not be any problem of YOURS, Phoenix Wright," Franziska replied, a malicious tone o her voice. "my condition is, that when you find Miles Edgeworth, you tell me immediately so that I can pay him a visit and give him the hiding of his life. Simple, isn't it?" she gave a diabolical cackle.
Gumshoe stared at Maggey in a bewildered way. The idea was a wonderful one, and one that he'd considered before, not that he had any ideas of HOW exactly he could do Anything about it.
"I would, but what can we do, pal?"

" hmmm" Maggey mumbled fiddling with her glasses.
Ema tilted her head and brushed her fringe to the side. "Well... if we want it back to what it use to be... what were the things that made it so good?' she smiled slightly knowing a few things already.

"No, you shouldn't have," Franziska snipped. "I'll ring you when I have the information you're seeking."

Ema smiled and placed a hand on Gumshoe, " There there now, i believe it is our turn now to bring this sluggin department up from the depths. It should be fun" Ema did miss the excitement Mr Wright and Mr Edgeworth would bring, she remembered the first time her sister introduced her to the Prosecutor... he was the standard that every prosecutor she met from there on was to measure up to.

Franziska made a scoffing noise at his nickname and hung up immediately.
"Let's go, Lang," She demanded of the man sitting not far from her. "I'd rather get this all wrapped up sooner rather than later... we have cases to work on."
"I'm not sure I would be a good partner for that sort of thing, pal..." Gumshoe murmured, a perplexed expression on his face. "I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing most of the time..."

Maggey got up off her chair and placed her palms on the desk. " Come on pal, your a detective! You should demand the same respect that they expect from you. Stand up and be the best the detective.. i know you are. "
Ema giggled. "Thats the spirit... now if you dont mind, i do have some work to do" she gave the two a casual wave and left the room. "
