"I will" Apollo said to Trucy. He flinched again in fright when he heard the door bell ring..
'I've been inside for too long,' he thought to himself

Ema casually gave a lazy wave back over her shoulder towards the glimmerous fop of a prosecutor as she pulled out her snackoos to head to the detectives department. She hoped Gumshoe would have something interesting for her when she arrived back.

"You know me, Truce," Phoenix laughed, the corners of his eyes crinkling with the gesture.
He planted a kiss on his adopted daughter's forehead.
"Good to know you'd still let your old man in though."

Maya was the first to get in to greet the young girl, sweeping her into a bone-crushing hug just as she had Phoenix.
"Trucy! I think your Papa is getting senile in his old age," she teased.

"Hey! You can sleep outside if you're going to pick on me," Phoenix said with falsely indignant tone, to which Maya responded with a pout.

"I hope not!" Trucy exclaimed immediately after she was released from the bone crushing hug. "He's the only one with any real brains around here," she joked, offhandedly mocking Apollo.
"It's good to see you again Maya! Pearl!" She looked at each woman in turn. She then turned to Iris. "And you Miss Iris."
Pearl then moved forward to give Trucy a hug as well.

Gumshoe was doing his usual job... coffee run. He was fetching coffee for all the lead detectives. Even after all this time, he was still the one everyone victimized. Not many of the prosecutors had the patience to put up with him... he'd been kicked off of more cases than he could count. It made him really miss the derogatory comments and dark glares of his former boss.
If Edgeworth were here, he'd at least be doing some investigating to earn his meager wage, rather than handing out spoons...

Apollo didn't know much about these people, he remembered the dark haired woman in purple which he knew from photographs that Phoenix had.
"Glad you think that much of me Trucy," he mumbled.

Ema walked into the building spotting Gumshoe at the coffEe machine, a cup in his hand as he waited for the water to boil.
"Nothing come up while i was gone Detective?" Ema asked walking over to him, her hand still in her snackoo bag.

Iris gave a sweet smile to Trucy.
"I think you've grown since the last time I visited Trucy. I wonder if you'll be taller than your father one day..."

"I try not to think about my little girl growing up, Iris," Phoenix laughed, removing Trucy's top hat to tussle her hair playfully.

With a quiet giggle at their antics, Iris looked over Phoenix and Trucy's shoulder to the other man who had arrived in the doorway.
"Oh, hello Apollo," she said in her timid voice
"I'm not sure if you remember me. We met a few months back..."
But she was interrupted by Maya.

"Oh! So you're Apollo!!"
It was his turn for an enthusiastic bear hug.
"It's," squeeze, "wonderful," squeeze, "to finally meet," squeeze, "you!!"

"No... sorry pal," Gumshoe replied immediately, a positively downtrodden expression on his face. "I got called by the chief to make coffee... i haven't really been able to do what you wanted me too..."

Trucy laughed, poking her tongue out at her father. She then turned to watch with amusement as Maya began to greet Apollo, the enthusiasm with which the Kurain master hugged him was almost brutal.
"Poor Polly," she giggled.

Apollo went to respond to Iris, but his breath was taken from him when a small girl dressed in purple wrapped her arms around him and began to squeeze.
"Nice to... meet... you?"

Ema sighed and flicked her fringe aside.
"Well maybe some shopping will occupy me," she smiled heading towards a computer with her magazine in her lab pocket.

Maya pulled away with a grin.
"So Nick, are you going to see us in or just leave on the doorstep all day?"

The ex-attorney laughed.
"Alright. All file in."

Iris hung back a little, waiting to enter with Phoenix.

Klavier had stayed beneath the tree where Ema had left him. He felt rather snubbed, but he really should never have bothered looking to the young detective for conversation let alone sympathy.
"What to do now..." he mused, glancing around the bustling park.
"Perhaps I'll pay Herr Forehead a visit."
The decision made he started his walk towards the street where the Wright Anything Agency was.
When he reached it and climbed the short flight of stairs he discovered that the door was in fact open and most of the occupants were standing there.
"Party at Herr Spikes is it?" he teased with a smile. "Is this a bad time?"

"Mr. Gavin!" Trucy exclaimed, pushing her way past the others to tackle the prosecutor.
"Well hallo there fraulein" he greeted merrily as he hugged the girl back.

"Might as well be a party. We have enough people in this cramped office," Apollo said when Klavier entered. He began cleaning up the couch, pushing aside some of Trucy's props.

Phoenix gave a wry smile.
"Klavier, what a pleasant surprise. The prosecutor's office must be pretty quiet if you're wandering around our neck of the woods."

Maya was already well inside the agency, tugging Pearl along with her. She was hungry. Nick had better have something good to eat around this place.
"Good to see Charlie's still alive," she called downstairs to Phoenix.

Klavier chuckled when Phoenix commented on how quiet the prosecutors office must have been.
"it's only quiet in MY office Herr Wright. The rest of the office is busier than ever."
He then glanced around the office, noticing Phoenix's female company.
"Well hallo there fraulein, I'm Klavier Gavin."
He reached our to take Iris's hand and kiss it in greeting.

Ema rolled her cursor around the computer desktop stopping at a very cheap chemical analyzer. She almost squealed at the opportunity. She clicked on "add to cart" with excitement.

Apollo rolled his eyes at Klavier when he took notice of Iris.
"Did anyone want a drink?" he reluctantly asked.

Phoenix frowned a little. Surely the office didn't harbor bad feelings on account of Klavier's brothers actions...

A light tinge of pink entered Iris's cheeks as the rockstar prosecutor kissed her hand.
"A... pleasure to meet you sir," she said shyly. "Phoenix has told me a lot about you..."

Phoenix cut in there, taking Iris's hand back and looping his arm around her waist.
"Now, now there Klavier. Don't go stealing the only girl who's ever shown genuine interest in me," he laughed, steering her inside.
"Come in for a drink if you have the spare time. You and Apollo can switch stories about how good it is to have no work."

Klavier laughed at Phoenix as he stepped forward to defend Iris from his flirtatious advances. He'd of course never intended to encroach on his territory, there was only one woman in his heart.
"A drink sounds good Herr Forehead," he called out, moving to follow Apollo out to the kitchenette. "Provided you're offering something potent."
