Tifa & Sparkles (Darkhunter)

[Tifa Lockhart]

"Oh.... um..." Andy hesitated, obviously thrown by his forwardness. She struggled to answer without sounding too hysterical.
"I just fell like... um... someone's been watching me. At work, on the way home... even while I'm at home."
She wrung her hands nervously, eyes peering out into the darkness over Rayn's shoulder, as if watching for something or someone to jump out.

[Sparkles]

Rayn growled low in his throat; so low that she wouldn't be able to hear it. "Would you like some company?" he asked, seemingly calm. Of coarse he'd been acting on instinct.. he'd formed a connection to her mind that he'd reluctantly not shut off since he'd first opened it. And he knew who it was... the daimon knew, and as such, he'd have to change his plans...

"Well... if you're not too busy," Andraste replied with a nervous smile, hurriedly stepping out of the doorway so that he could come inside. "I can put something extra on with dinner for you if you'd like?"

[Sparkles]

Rayn's brow wrinkled ever so slightly at the thought of eating food given to him.. he hadn't done that in a long time. not since... "I've already eaten" he said as he stepped into the quaint little building. He stood by the door as he waited for her to close it. He knew he made her nervous, he didn't have to be empathic to realise that.. but it was better her nervousness than the alternative.

"Alright then," she relented, pulling the door closed and hurrying back into the kitchen to check on her dinner. "Make yourself comfortable," she urged, gesturing to the kitchen chairs.
She kept pretty quiet after that, not really sure what she was supposed to say in these circumstances anyway.
Despite his presence casting an air of comparative calm over her, she still found herself glancing up from her cooking every now and again.

Watching her work on her dinner, Rayn couldn't help but think of the way the maids in his child home bustled around.
Rayn walked around the rooms, pulling the curtains tightly closed as he did so. As he made his way back into the dining room, he took up residence in one of the seats that had been offered to him. "Don't be afraid.." easier said than done.. but at least Rayn was trying his hand at small talk... "I have a feeling he won't like your company."

He!? Andraste thought urgently, trying to keep the alarm in her expression at bay. Now it was obvious there REALLY was someone following her and watching her every move. For some reason though, she believed him... And trusted him. It already felt far safer with him there to talk to.
"i often wonder if i should think about getting a male flat mate... Just for the mental security factor, you know?"

Rayn frowned, "Have you had problems like this before?"
He didn't think the daimons would be able to sense her powers like he could.. but if they could..
In any case, it would be rather unfortunate for Andraste to have such a target on her.

Andraste looked uncertain for a moment, stopping to pondet her answer,
"Not usually," she began, "but i've been feeling like i'm being follow for a while now."

[Sparkles]

Contemplating this, Rayn folded his hands in his lap and stared at her dinner on the stove, "from before you met me at the airport?"
It was the crucial question really. If it was just the one daimon, being able to smell him near her, then he'd protect her from a distant until he killed his daimon and they couldn't track her anymore and then leave her alone... but if they could sense her locked powers... there would be trouble.

Andy looked unsure for several long moments as she deliberated her answer, but when she finally replied, she seemed pretty certain of herself.
"Its been happening since before that, but it just feels more definite now i guess..."

[Sparkles]

He was sworn to secrecy, but sooner or later his world would become hers too. Whether she would go willingly or kicking and screaming was her only real choice. "I have come across very few like you in my years." he whispered more to himself. Then louder, "Would you feel safe if I found someone to stay with you during the da-"

Who is no concern of yours at the present time general Rayn's spine tingled.. just know that so long as you are protecting her in the night, I am able to protect her in the day time while you sleep.
Trying to ignore the angelic voice in his head, Rayn dispelled the voice as quick as it had come; blocking his mind. "-during the day time?"

"Uh..." Andraste mused, pausing in her current task, she'd taken the saucepan off the stove and was mid-way through pouring her dinner into a bowl. "W-What do you mean?" she asked, finishing off the pouring and setting it aside.

[Sparkles]

Rayn cleared his throat quietly, "If you feel uncomfortable on your own, would you like for me to check on you of a night time and..." the hairs on the back of his neck prickled and his eyes narrowed as they focused on the window above her head. "I apologise if this alarms you, but you have been followed." he indicated the small window. Upon looking, she would see the daimon staring through; eyes bloodshot and blonde hair stained with blood, as was the skin rimming his mouth. He would lick his right fang while staring hungrily into Andraste's eyes before glancing at the dark hunter who now stood behind her to steady her should she react as expected. The daimon bared his fangs at Rayn before moving out of sight.

Andraste looked confused as she turned to face the window. When she saw the horrible face peering through it she gave a blood curdling scream and dropped into a huddled position behind her bench. Strangely the bottle of water that had been sitting on the bench burst, sending water everywhere.
