[Tifa Lockhart]

Tifa reached forward very carefully then to take the tiny infant into her arms. The woman had become quite adept at nursing it seemed. As held him much more comfortably than she would have before having Ianthe.
"He's so tiny," she mused, tickling him gently beneath the chin. Cloud leaned over her shoulder to get a better look.

"This owie is a bit big for you or mama to help with, angel," he said, kissing Ashlynn on the forehead. She was so beautiful and thoughtful, like her mother. "The doctors are doing a good job though."

Ashlynn looked baffled.
"But Mama can fix anything," she said. It didn't make sense to her.
"She helps everyone. Why can't she help Uncle Kuns?"

Aerith smiled tiredly.
"But quite strong," she murmured. "Don't let him deceive you..."

Zack felt his heart twist when Ashlynn insisted her mother could heal anything. He didn't like shattering the fantasy... but eventually reality had to come in.
"Your mama is VERY good at fixing owies honey, but sometimes something happens that even mummy can't fix. She can still help though," he tweaked her nose gently. "It's thanks to mama that Uncle Kunsel is doing much better now."

"I can imagine," Tifa said with a laugh, gushing over the tiny baby.

Ashlynn looked very anxious then, wringing her hands.
"Is Uncle Kunsel going to be okay?" she asked very quietly.
If her mother couldn't help him...

[Tifa Lockhart]

Zack readjusted his hold on Ashlynn so that he could open the door to Kunsel's room.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" he suggested, putting Ashlynn down so that she could follow her brother, who was calmly approaching Kunsel's bed.
"Hey there little man," Kunsel greeted tiredly, patting the bed beside him, inviting the twins to sit there where he could see them properly.

Ashlynn struggled a little more than her brother, but soon she had climbed up to be beside her uncle too.
"Uncle Kunsel," she got straight to the matter, "are you going to be okay?"

[Tifa Lockhart]

Kunsel smiled warmly as Ashlynn climbed up on the bed and demanded to know if he was going to be ok. He offered her a hand to hold and then squeezed it gently.
"I'm a tough one, like your daddy, remember?" he joked, not displaying the same pessimism that he had to Yuffie. They were just children after all, he couldn't subject them to that sort of morbid talk. "Uncle Kunsel just needs a little while to get better, that's all."

Ashlynn took hold of her uncle's hand and quickly shuffled in close beside him.

Yuffie entered the room then, having obviously left for snacks, as she carried candy and drinks in her arms.
"Hey there Ash, Yn. Look what your favorite aunt brought you," she grinned.

"Aunty Yuffie!" Ynyr exclaimed, leaping off the bed and running over to hug Yuffie around the legs. "We missed you!"
They hadn't seen their 'favourite aunt' in quite a while, what with her being so busy in Wutai.

Yuffie laughed, putting her items down on Kunsel's bed to stoop down to pick up the young boy. For a small woman, she was quite strong. She gave him a kiss before settling him on her hip.
"I've missed you too, Squirt," she grinned.

[Tifa Lockhart]

"How long are you staying here this time Aunty Yuffie?" Ynyr asked. They didn't get to see much of her anymore, she was always so busy with Wutai.

[The Painted Lady]

"Uh..."
She glanced to Kunsel before looking to Ynyr again with a grin.
"As long as your old Uncle Kuns is here to get well so I can take him home with me."

[Tifa Lockhart]

"Awww," Ynyr pouted, obviously disappointed that Yuffie wouldn't be hanging around that long.
"Come visit more often, kay?" he demanded.

Yuffie laughed.
"If you insist my little man," she grinned, kissing his cheek and setting him down.

[Tifa Lockhart]

Ynyr made a noise of satisfaction as Yuffie set him down, obviously convinced that his aunt would keep her word.
