"Eamon, watch the stall for me," he ordered to a young apprentice working behind him.
He looked back to Zack.
"You need to see my... exclusive collection," he winked with a laugh.
"I keep my best work in the house as a model for other work... But should you wish to purchase one of them, it will be a unique work."

"Oh." Zack mused, looking startled, "Are you sure that's OK? I wouldn't want to inconvenience you at all." He rubbed the back of his head with his free hand and Ynyr giggled slightly, as he usually did when his father was embarrassed.

Mitch fumbled around with his key as they reached a small house not far from the centre of the markets.
"Don't tell nobody about this," he said as he opened the door, tapping his nose with a grin.
"Just for your special lady."

"I keep my pieces in the back, near the fireplace."
He led the way, opening a large cabinet.
"All of these shelves," he gestured, "contain precious stones. Have a good look," he said, moving aside.

Zack stepped forward with a curious expression and inspected the shelves the jeweler indicated. His eyes widened and he whistled.
"Wow... nice." He said, eyes roaming over the myriad of different stones and well crafted pieces, "Amazing... so many beautiful things."
Ynyr was silent, eyes glittering in awe

Zack shook his head and turned to face the man, "I am happy to pay whatever price you ask of me." He then turned back to the shelf, caressing each ring with his eyes, searching for that perfect one. The rings here were of such perfect quality that Zack knew it HAD to be here.
Zack was beginning to doubt it though, when something glinted at the back of the cupboard. He reached out to take the dainty ring and instantly knew this was the one. The light caught it and danced off of the hundreds of facets in the large white stone set in the middle. Either side of the main stone were two tiny blue diamonds. The stones used were rare, he had no idea how the man would have obtained them... and he didn't even want to imagine how much it would cost him. The design itself was tiny and intricate, perfect for Aerith.
"How much for this one?" He asked, turning to face the old jeweler.

Mitch wiped his glasses on his shirt, stepping forward to observe the ring when he replaced them, pushing them up his nose.
"Ah, that one. I am afraid it is a little more expensive than the others, but I am willing to sell it..."
He consulted a file sitting on a stool by the cabinet.
"It's listed here as 750 gil... but I think I can drop that to 700. How does that sound?"

"For this i'd pay you thousands sir." Zack said, eyes glittering as he watched the light dance from the tiny ring. "I'll pay you the 750, plus 50 for you bringing me here and being so kind." He reached into his pocket for his wallet, gently putting the little ring back down on the shelf for the time being.

Zack didn't want to push the issue, but he was desperate to pay the man the extra 50... he'd just go back to the stall and buy something for Ynyr, which he'd been planning anyway.
"No, i think that'll fit nicely." He said, having cunningly taken one of Aerith's rings and checked the size on it. He handed the man the 750gil with a smile. "I'll need to get a nice box now... thanks a ton sir."

"And I'm sure we have a box out with the rest of the displays outside... In fact, if I recall, there's a nice little silver box with a bow on it somewhere there..."
He placed his money away safely.
"I'll meet you two at the stall if you wish. I just have to lock up first..."
