"Oh my goodness... you're back?! Where in hell were you?! You've had me so, so worried!"

"Where's Aerith? Is she with you? How about the children? They've missed you so much. Are they okay?"

Zack gave a nervous laugh, "Hey ma, sorry to worry you... We were uh... called away rather urgently, we didn't get the chance to tell anyone. We're gonna pop in to visit soon... just gonna go to Kalm and see Aerith's mother first. Is that alright?" He would be very glad to see his parents again.

Zack sighed gently, "We'll fill you in on everything when we get there." He smiled, "And we'll all be perfectly fine, still not confident in my driving skills are you?" He laughed and shook his had, "Take care mother, and say hi to Pa for me, OK?"

"Of course Ma. Love you too." Zack hung up the phone with a sigh, there were many awkward conversations to come...
"Alright Aerith." He called as he entered the kitchen again, looking around for her, "I'm just gonna ride to the base and grab a car, then we can head off. You alright getting the kids ready to go?"

Aerith met Zack with a sudden embrace, reaching up to kiss his lips.
"Easy," she smiled.
"They've started packing without being asked."
She kissed him again, still smiling.
"They're good kids, aren't they? We're really lucky..."

Zack laughed and swept Aerith up, spinning her around once before putting her back down and kissing her full on the lips.
"Indeed, i was blessed with a wonderful family." He let Aerith go reluctantly, "I'll just got throw a shirt on and then i'll be back in a few." He kissed her once more before he was off to the bedroom with a slight skip in his step. He was trembling with excitement about what he was going to try and do... but at the same time he was horrifically nervous.

"Okay honey," she called after him once she was set back down and Zack left.

Zack pulled on a checked collared shirt and pocketed his phone before he hurried out the front door, fetched his bike from the shed and then headed off to the base to get the car he was loaned whenever he required it.
He left his bike in the vehicle lot and hurried back to the town with the car.
"Ready to go everyone?" He called as he opened the front door, spinning the keyrings around on his finger.

"I packed for you too," she said, kissing him tenderly as she drew level with him.

Zack looked a little surprised when Aerith said she'd packed for him. He'd planned to throw a few small things into a bag while the kids got loaded into the car.
"How thoughtful." he said was the children hurried past him, giggling madly with their little bags in hand. He wrapped his arms around Aerith's waist and drew her in to kiss her tenderly. "I hope you didn't pack me too much, i usually travel light." He chuckled and kissed her again before steering her out the door and pulling the door shut behind him, locking it.
