He went back into his 'Jedi-mode' again, and did as she instructed. "What are you getting at?" he said, with possibly a little too much inflection in his voice. He was still a bit paranoid about everyone, as he should be, but he still figured Shan was doing the usual Jedi thing where the slightest problem someone has is a big thing that can hurl them into the unforgiving maw of the dark-side. It was pathetic really. To him, it symbolised the very fear they claim to abstain from. What would she know about his soul? She knew nothing, and it angered him. But he hid it, and sat cross legged in front of her.

Satele tilted her head slightly as Kalen sat down before her, asking his question. His agitation was obvious to her, his emotions as clear as if she were reading a book in which he'd written them for her to read. She remained calm, drawing a deep stilling breath, leading by example as her Master had taught her to do so long ago. "Allow me to provide an example," she began, motioning a hand towards the side-board not far from them, atop which sat a jug of fresh water and a glass. The jug and glass floated towards her, the jug tilting to pour some of its contents into the glass. "This glass is now full, to try and put anything else inside it would be impossible... and foolish." She demonstrated by tilting up the jug again. The water spilled over the edges of the glass, and ran down her hand. "Forcing more into a full vessel causes some of the contents to overflow... some of the sense to be lost." She moved her hand, the water in the cup rising out and hovering in the air between them like a shimmering orb. "But if one first empties the glass... then it can be filled anew." she tipped up the jug to fill the glass again. Now she raised her silver-blue eyes back to Kalen's. She could sense his humming impatience, but she would not rush the lesson, it was an important one. "That way... nothing that the jug had to offer has been wasted." She returned all of the water to the jug and then set it aside on the side-board once more. "By stilling your thoughts and calming your mind, you can better process all that has happened. Else you overflow and lose sight of the true meaning of all you have learned." She laced her hands together on her lap, her head tilting in the curious manner that it had before. "It is nature to hoard information... but one must understand, or else it is meaningless clutter."

It made sense, and he had heard of Sith meditating. It was just that a lot of sith preferred not to, they liked thier power raw, but Kalen was beginning to think that perhaps he had to control his anger. He would be able to channel is power better that way. While he had her attention, he needed to ask her something. He did not like resorting to actually asking for advice, but he could not help but think about that dream he had when he got knocked out from the explosion. "Master, I had this dream. A vision more like," he said. "It was after the explosion at the Imperial Base, it felt like a dream, except I was laying where I was, unable to move. Two wisps of light, blue and red, inter-joined by a white light, came to me, and formed a man. A jedi, wearing a Mandalorian mask. He touched me, and that's when I became conscious. Before that though, there were other shadows standing over me, they looked sad. They were my kind, Zabra - Iridionians. I was a -" He almost said 'slave'. "Orphan, so I never knew my parents, not a single thing about them. Though, maybe they came to me? My ancestors. Do Jedi believe in that sort of thing? Spirits and ghosts?"

Satele closed her eyes as Kalen explained his vision to him, as if she were trying to see it for herself. A hand rose to cup her chin as he mentioned the Mandalorian masked jedi, her brows furrowing ever so slightly before the expression loosened and she opened her eyes again. "Mandalorians rarely turn their attention to the ways of the Jedi, preferring glory and battle to calm and contemplation." Her gaze seemed quite certain as she relayed this. "There was one who fits your description, though Mandalorian he was not. A man named Revan." Though her training allowed her to distance herself from the emotions that man's name brought her, she could not forget him, not when his blood flowed deep in her veins. "He came to the Temple to be trained as a Jedi, and he showed great promise." Her expression became somewhat grave as she shook her head, braids swinging against her shoulder. "He fell to the dark side some time after, establishing a great Sith Empire under the name Darth Revan. Eventually he... returned to the Jedi order a very different man." She seemed to be a little evasive through this part of her explanation. She certainly hid nothing, but she was clearly only giving the parts relevant for that moment. "The specifics of his story have been altered by time and retelling, but the importance of his story is that one's nature can be changed, that no one is trapped on the path they are set on. His tale is one of redemption and enlightenment." There was a particularly intense look in her eyes as she sought Kalen's gaze then, as if this message was a powerful one that she meant to drive home. She shifted her posture then, loosening and relaxing again, though when she had tensed ever-so-slightly to start with was unclear. "It is a worthy fable to investigate... I know it well, but you should seek your own answers as I did in my time." She dropped her hand from her chin then, folding them in her lap once more. "Much of the data we had on Revan was lost in the sacking of the Temple on Coruscant, but some can be found in the archives here. Perhaps enlightening yourself on his life may shed some light on your vision?" She got to her feet then, obviously fairly certain their conversation would be reaching its end soon. Kalen had a lot to think about. "As for Spirits and Ghosts, all sorts of things can be created through the will of the force. It is more than likely that these apparitions you saw in your vision, whether related to you by blood or other means, had some sort of message to send you relating to Revan."

"I don't see this as relevant to me, Master," He looked her squarely in the eyes. "Reven is a myth, anyway. A tool to tell a story, much like you are now, but I see your point." He stood up. "Thank you. Do we have an assignment soon? I'm getting a bit restless here."

Satele smirked knowingly, shaking her head at the young padawan. "As sure as I stand before you, Revan is no myth. Go to the archives and see for yourself." She stood as well, brushing herself off before she bowed slightly. "That's your assignment for the moment. I will have something for the two of you soon."

Kalen groaned, making no effort to hide it. "As you wish," he said. "My master." As he excused himself from the room, he realised with a slight shock that the way he just addressed Satele was that of Sith mannerisms. Dammit, he was slipping. Being in her presence, in her awesome aura, was somewhat intoxicating and he did not realise until just now just how much he had succumbed to it, until it was no longer surrounding him. He walked down the hall, but not toward the archives - he would go there, but he needed to go see someone first. He headed toward Aele's room, and knocked on the door, hoping she was there. If he was going to be forced to study, he needed a partner. He hoped that this would be a subtle enough way to smooth things over without him being forced to apologise.

Aele's door opened before Kalen even got the chance to knock. Even without eyes it was clear her expression was calm, devoid of the anger it had been filled with when they'd parted earlier. She raised a silencing hand. "Don't talk." She stepped out into the hall and the door hissed closed behind her. "Just walk."

Kalen, surprised at himself, did as he was told without a word. He walked beside Aele down the hall. All sort of questions went around in his head. What was it she was doing? She moved with purpose.

Aele marched with intent down the halls, though she still found time to respectfully nod her head to anyone they passed in the halls. As if she had some sort of uncanny instinct, she lead Kalen to the archives. She only turned to face him when the doors closed behind them, leaving them alone in the large room. The walls were covered in glowing lights, and there were several terminals for accessing the data contained within. "Every ounce of knowledge the Jedi have. Right here." She gestured to the consoles. "I know how you feel about all this... but I want to learn everything before I make my own decision... I've never made it my practice to judge things before I know everything about them. I don't plan to start now."

Kalen nodded and went over to a terminal. He fiddled with it until he figured out what it's specific purpose was. "Criminal Archive" This must be where all the data on the underworld scum goes. He flicked through it, nothing on Revan. He even did a search for Kul. Nothing. Maybe there was a different terminal for known Sith. Which brought up a good question, if Reven was both Sith and Jedi, where would you even start looking?

Aele picked a console and sat down. She picked up a head-set that could be connected to the console and put it in her ear. "Computer, inventory," she instructed, and the computer began to read her out an extensive list of the documents it had contained within, all about the history of the Jedi Order. She then began choosing one topic after the other, sitting silently to listen to the information.

Kalen spent what seemed like hours to him, searching for something on Revan, he was only mentioned in part in the Jedi records, and the same in the Sith records. Eventually Kalen came across a terminal at the back of the library titled, "The Revanchist". A whole terminal, just for Revan. He read everything there. He read about Revan's upbringing, and his training as a Jedi, his diplomatic and military victories against genocidal Mandalorians, for which he was rewarded with a place as a commander. His rendezvous with the Empire on Dromund Kass, and therfore all about his descent to the Dark Side, and how he started the Jedi Civil War. It continued on about his crusade to find the Star Forge, and how he, at the astonishment of his Apprentice, Malek, rejected it's power, and used it only to amass a destructive fleet with which to wage war with his own personal Sith Empire against the Republic, who held out for two years against him, until his flagship was boarded by a republic strike team, led by a Jedi, and simultaneously betrayed by Malek. Kalen kept reading with intense interest, he read that after the battle where he was betrayed, his memories were apparently locked away inside him, and he was suddenly back on the side of the Republic, with no recollection of his abilities. Revan eventually killed Malek, and settled on Coruscant, with his new wife, Bastila. The very Jedi whom had erased his memory. Though by now, most of his memories had returned to him, but chose to stay on the Light Side due to his efforts in stopping the war and killing Malik, and being named a hero., until things with the council got more and more strained. Eventually Both him and Bastila walked the Dark Side when the council refused to listen to them about new ideas of the Jedi way. Kalen was amazed by the events in Revan's life, how he could reform so many times. Eventually Revan and Bastila reformed once more to the light and even had a child. However, when Revan left to confront the Emperor, but he was caught and put in stasis for 300 years. It was Revan's legacy that inspired the Rule Of Two, and still he was treated as a hero and a legend on both sides of the force, although he eventually returned to the light. It was now that Kalen realised that Shan knew, she knew what he and Aele were, what they are. This was her message to him, that he always has a choice. He felt stupid, Aele had already figured that out on her own. But it did not change the fact that he did not want to be here, he didn't belong. That feeling was especially prominent now that he knew that Satele knew. He could not help but wonder though, if Revan was still someone who actually existed, or if he was just a tool for a lesson. He decided to look up one more person in the archives. He walked over to the front half of the library and opened up the terminal with the data on registered Jedi. He then looked up, Bastila. His eyes widened when he saw who she was. Bastila Shan "By the force! Aele come look at this!" He cleared his throat, slightly embarrassed. "That is, come hear this."

Aele lifted her chin from where it rested on her hand when Kalen called her over. She reached up to remove her ear-piece and left the terminal she'd been listening too behind. "What is it?" she asked as she came to stand beside him. She seemed to have no reaction to his blunder, instead she just reached out to take this terminal's ear-piece. "You sound rather excited... what did you find?"

"I was researching Revan, y'know because of my vision, and wanted to make sure he was real by cross referencing his wife's name, Bastila. Her last name, is 'Shan'," he said quickly and as a matter of fact. Satele is the descendent of quite possibly the most powerful force user in history."
