Shattered Dimension's roleplay thread


The world has been thrown into turmoil; the cities have been destroyed to mounds of crumbling rubble, the sky is laced with a constant red haze, demons scurry about the Earthen Plane. The next heir to the Throne of Darkness has been given a test.

To raze the Human Realm and prepare for war against Heaven.

But something has gone wrong.

The worlds heroes (superhumans, geniuses, mutants, half-breeds) have banded together against a common enemy, despite the already-existing feuds between them.

This is where the fate of the world is decided.


PROFILES

Okay boys and girls, here's how this works. You choose one character from a series, and choose that character. After a character is chosen, that series is now out of bounds for all other profiles. Don't mistake this for having one character from, say, FFVII, then another from FFX. Final Fantasy is a series, and once a character is chosen from that series, it's locked. Here's the profile setup that I think would be best.

Name: Dante Sparda
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Occupation: Devil Hunter
Weapons: Rebellion sword, Ebony & Ivory handguns, Coyote-A shotgun.
Abilities: Devil Trigger, inhuman speed, agility, strength, almost instant mastery of weapons, constant flair with gunwork.
Personality: Laid back, but with a strong sense of justice and fair play. He holds family and friends high in his mind, and will do anything to protect not only them, but also any full-blooded human that could be in danger. He can be counted on to do the right thing, even if he complains about it the entire time. He has a tendency to annoy people regardless of the consequences, almost as if he enjoys it.
History: Battled, and defeated, Arkham, who was infused with Sparda's power. Instantly went on to fight and defeat his eldest brother Vergil in the Demon Realm. Later on, obliterated the Demon Emperor Mundus and his Generals Phantom, Griffin, Nelo Angelo, and Nightmare, all located on Mallet Island. Afterwards, accepted an assignment to protect a girl named Patty Lowel, and killed the demon Sid, resulting in a banishment of the Demon General Abigail's power. In Fortuna, shut down the operations of the Order of the Sword, who summoned a demon known The Saviour using Sparda's power. Last known assignment was assisting Lucia defeat Arius and Argosax the Chaos on Dumary Island.

[Tifa Lockhart]

Name:[/u] Yugi Motou (and another entity known only as 'Yami' or 'Pharaoh')
Age:[/u] Yugi is in his late teens, the Pharaoh is thousands of years old.
Gender:[/u] Male
Species:[/u] Human and a spirit.
Occupation:[/u] Yugi works in his father's game-shop, but he's on a quest to try and find the truth behind his Pharaoh companions past.
Weapons:[/u] He can summon monsters, which are embodied in a deck of cards.
Abilities:[/u] As mentioned above, Yugi can summon monsters from his deck of cards using the magic of the Millenium Puzzle, a magical artifact that gives him some powerful magical abilities.

Personality:[/u] Yugi is kind hearted and just. He knows the hardships of the world, having encountered some trying times himself, but he still knows how to be fair. He prefers not to fight, and usually lets the Pharaoh do that. Yami is sincere and wise, though perhaps a little too serious at times. He's old moraled, so he tends to think in terms of an eye for an eye, and isn't afraid to sacrifice those who get in his way if it means serving the greater good. On occasion, Yugi has to keep Yami in line before he does something stupid. The two of them trust each other more than anyone else.

History:[/u] Yugi was just a normal kid, until his grandfather (who was an archaeologist), brought him home an artifact. He called it 'the millenium puzzle', and he said that he had a hunch it belonged to Yugi. No one had been able to solve it in thousands of years, but Yugi did. And so he became bonded to the puzzle, and the ancient spirit living within it. Together Yami and Yugi have done a great many great things, but they're still searching for a way to solve the mysteries of the Pharaoh's past, and set him free from his limbo.

[The Painted Lady]

Name: Fiora Cavazza
Age: A lady never tells, and a gentleman never asks.
Gender: A whole lot of woman
Species: Human
Occupation: Courtesan/Call-girl... but that's really a guise for her occupation as an Assassin.
Weapons: Fan-blade, Hidden blade, Hidden pistol, Poison
Abilities: Free-running, disappearing and the innate ability of seduction (Oh-ho-ho!)
Personality: Teasing and playful to clients, serious and deadly to her real clients. A little bit of a twisted sense of humour and very self-assured. She doesn't need any white knight to save her.
History: After growing up in a Brothel, Fiora did her best to establish connections to get herself out. Unfortunately, they were the wrong connections. After being 'rescued' by the Borgia, Fiora worked for the Templars, watching horrible deeds and performing inhumane missions. When her loyalty (and her very life) was tested, Fiora betrayed the Borgia to the Assassin's, joining the Creed. She now currently works as an agent for the Brotherhood.

Name: Thel Vadamee (pre halo 1)

Gender: Male
Species: Sangheili
Occupation: Vadam Family Kaidon, Ship Master (Currently Osoona)
Weapons: Plasma Repeater, Needle rifle, Energy sword.
Abilities: Camouflage, mass amounts of strength and very well versed in combat strategies.
Personality: Thel is serious, humour, unless dark and relative to battle, is non-existent. Is is always thinking, thinking of a better way to do things. Like all sangheili the way he sees himself and believes all other see him is filtered through his honour.
History: Thel was born Thel 'Vadam to the Vadam family, rulers of the powerful State of Vadam on Sanghelios. As a young Sangheili, Thel was trained in the ways of the warrior and then joined the Covenant Military. Thel soon became a shipmaster and also his family's Kaidon. Soon after being promoted to Shipmaster, Thel suffered an injury in the training ring due to a mistake. His family hushed up the incident, as well as the resultant visit by a doctor, due to Sangheili culture equating the loss of blood and medical operation by a doctor with a loss of honor. During his convalescence, Thel handmade an old-fashioned doarmir-fur Shipmaster's cloak, wearing it always to remind him that he could make grave mistakes if he let his guard down.

Gender: Of the masculine variety
Species: Seran Human
Occupation: Gear soldier of the COG army. Corporal in charge of Sigma One.
Weapons:

The Retro Lancer, Locust Hammerburst, Gnasher Shotgun, Sawed-off Shotgun, Digger Launcher, Boomshot, Schorcher Flamethrower, Torque Bow, Hammer of Dawn, Snub Pistol, Gorgon Pistol, Smoke/Frag/Ink grenades will be used where possible, when he locates them, should he of course, feel their use necessary. Same for the Mulcher, Mortar and Troika turret (though, the Troika is unlikely in this world).
Abilities: A knack for machines, Baird repairs mechanics with a natural flair and talent. An expert in several technical and mechanical fields, he also has an ability to 'work out' the nature of things. He is practically the resident Locust expert, always right about what they're up to. Also good at some minor medical field-jobs, though not actually a doctor. Simply, 'if it ticks, Baird can fix it or at least, mend it'.
Personality: Cocky, self-assured and reflexive-sarcasm. When he's pissing himself scared, his sarcastic reflexes kick in to their fullest. He's intelligent and arrogant, but deep-seatedly a very caring person. He's always looking out for number one, unless Cole is around. Cole is the only other person he wants to keep around, until he gets to know Dom and Marcus a bit better. Delta Squad is an intelligent group, and he takes comfort in having people with IQs above the average around. Though he does his utmost to hide these interests in his buddies, to keep to the 'cocky, self-centred bastard' routine he built for himself.

Name: Lena
Age: 23
Gender: female
Species: human
Occupation: mercenary
Weapons: a hand gun and a long sword
Abilities: can summon espers to battle and can use basic magic as in Cura and Fire.
Personality: She's a bit cold since she's a loner but she has a caring side. She's will protect her friends without caring for herself. But she isn't one for fighting pointless battle.
History: At a young age, Lena was able to call any esper that she wanted but about the same age, her family was murdered while she was out playing.
A few years later, she was token in by a single lady named Sera who raised her until she was 17. Living with Sera wasn't bad or anything. But the past always bugged Lena.
At the age of 17, she left her new home and became a mercenary. She trained under a guy named Dale for 3 years on using a sword. Then she were off to do different jobs to help people. How she got her gun is unknown.
