We all know of the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Seven Heavenly Virtues (though, more than likely we're more familiar with the sins) but there is quite possibly a deeper story to them than known. In this RP, we are to take the roles of either one of the following: the Seven Deadly Sins, or the Seven Heavenly Virtues.
Now, the role of the Seven Sins is that they open their story with a post entirely about prior to being discovered by the CIA in which the character is doing something that relates to their Sin. This does not apply to Lust, who will already be a member of the 'Incarnate Task Force'. The story itself is set twenty-four years in the future, in a semi post-apocalyptic area of America, specifically: the entire state of California. The post-apocalyptic side is due to an unusual upheaval in the tectonic plates.
On the sixth of January 2011, Pride and Hope first appeared to the world, both made a very public speech, informing all that they sought the people like them. Hope, made her plea to the people in which she swore that she had brethren amongst the populace of California, she asked that those with similar abilities to her own, seek her out and join her in the fight for peace in the world.
Pride had a similar plea, he swore that those who enjoyed pain, suffering and evil, should seek him out and join with him in order to create a new world order in which the "Sinners" would rule. He knew that there were six others like him, and he also knew, they would be unable to resist the temptation of killing those with a 'holy' cause.
On that day, the entire state of California was raised, 300 metres above sea-level and was separated from the rest of the continent of America. Most of the skyscrapers and cities fell, killing thousands. The remaining buildings ended up with numerous people losing their sanity, and taken away from the state of California for treatment in asylums. After a time, the people that had been locked up, were released by Pride and they joined his cause. One even became a sub-commander, known as Greed. Some were re-captured and were submitted to medical experiments by doctors and scientists on the mainland. Who were trying to uncover the reasons behind the existence of these new meta-humans. That super-human breed, turned out to be the Sins and the Virtues, who developed abilities that related to the Sin/Virtue they represented. They soon became known as The Incarnates.
Months of small scale battles between the Sins and the Virtues, led up to the final confrontation. After each battle, civilians came out unscathed, whilst the Sinners and the Virtues came out rather worn down and even close to death. Although, some civilians weren't as lucky as most.
"With battles, come casualties, with leaders, come sacrifices, you either prepare a safeguard, or take it on, all or nothing." The words of Pride in his speech to the population of California.
On the sixth of June 2011, two groups fought long and hard into the night, determined to rid the world of one another’s presence. Pride's group called themselves the Harbingers of Sin, whilst Hope's group referred to themselves as the Heavensent Legionnaires. The Harbingers wrought destruction, pain and chaos throughout the reaches of California for three months prior to the final battle between them and the Legionnaires.
The Harbingers consisted of seven sub-groups, each with their own commander, one group per Sin. The largest group consisted of thirty-six subordinates then their commander, Wrath. Even though Wrath is not the leader of the Harbingers, he has the strongest and largest group under his command. Wrath was the Harbingers general, until such times as the Legionnaires confronted them so that the violence would finally cease. Pride was always the Harbingers leader.
The Legionnaires also consisted of seven sub-groups, each also with their own commanding officer, one group per Virtue. The Legionnaires, in their belief that fighting was immoral and wrong, had smaller groups with much less subordinates. The largest, consisted of fourteen then their commander, Temperance. Again, Temperance is not the leader of the Legionnaires, he only held the strongest and largest group under his command. Hope was the leader of the Harbingers until the final showdown concluded.
The long battle between the Harbingers and the Legionnaires, ate away at both their souls and their bodies. The battle took its toll on both sides, with casualties and fatalities in great numbers for both teams. In total, there was ninety-eight casualties and seventy-seven fatalities. Thirteen on said numbers, were the groups leaders, themselves. Ten of the thirteen, were fatalities whilst the three casualties were sentenced to death once the police had sufficient evidence that pointed the crimes to the three Sins remaining in the Intensive Care Unit at the nearest hospital. The last surviving Virtue, was of course, Hope. Hope managed to escape, relatively unscathed whilst succeeding in avoiding the Police who wanted the Virtues heads as well.
From then on, Hope was never seen or heard of again. Hope, went to the normal life she had tried to have, before the conflict of Virtue vs. Sin which it was hereby known as.
But, two years ago, Hope once again surfaced, bringing herself back into the world she had left in order to once again live peacefully. She found her way inside the headquarters of the CIA, and then spoke face-to-face to the leader in order to forge an alliance. Her price was to be allowed freedom from her past while she helped them find the new Sins and the new Virtues. Her philosophy on the new Sins & Virtues is: "If I can reach them before the darkness does, then they can be saved, even if it is only partial."
That brings you up to speed with the new world and its new 'inhabitants.' The new generation of Sins and Virtues, are unique meta-humans that were born after the initial upheaval; the first generation having caused the upheaval themselves, to separate the evolving race, from the rest of the world.
Finally, the world's new 'inhabitants' have been given a name, as they are a newer, more advanced species of human. That name, is Incarnate, they have the same appearance, but their physical abilities and mental abilities, are far greater. They also have a greater range of talents.
Here is a dictionary definition of each of the Sins and the Virtues, and I shall allow you to formulate your own concepts, and ideas for each sin/virtue therefore allowing for you to create your own perceptions and ideas for a suitable character to the sin or virtue, whichever you should choose.

First off; the new generation of Incarnates are no older than twenty-four years of age. This is due to the Incarnate War, having occurred only twenty-four to twenty-five years previous. Thirdly; some of the Incarnates possess extravagant natural hair-colour as well. Some parts are not so natural, but some have been born with purple or blue hair. Not all.
These three things are the only way to tell if someone is an Incarnate if you're merely a human. However, the Incarnates have this innate ability to sense one another when in close proximity to one another. This is an exceedingly useful trait, but doesn't extend far, and is almost useless if the Incarnates abilities have yet to awaken.
A final piece, is that once the powers of an Incarnate have awoken; a rune circumscribing with which Sin/Virtue they have relevance to, appears somewhere on their body. This location differs from Incarnate to Incarnate, and cannot always be obvious.
The Incarnates do not know they are Incarnates instinctively. They just act as they would normally, not considering themselves superior, or different in any way - with the exception of those with naturally unnatural hair and eye colours - to the rest of the world. Only when their powers awaken, do they realise they are very different. And each Incarnate possesses an individual special talent. One specific to their Sin or Virtue (Eg; Lust can create scents that appeal to each individual to their personal preferences) and an elemental based ability.
This would best be explained in play, however, here's a run-down, to minimise confusion.
Each Sin or Virtue possesses the innate ability to manipulate things in the world itself. Usually, something suited to their Sin/Virtue, but not always appropriate.
For example; when my Wrath's powers first awaken, we learn that he is what the Incarnate Taskforce will call a 'Quaker'. Simply put; Sean, AKA; Wrath, can create earth-quakes, cause tectonic shift or even raise a tectonic plate (when his powers reach maturity).
Hope, is a 'Shiner', in that she can manipulate and control any source of light, and Pride, was a 'Stormer'; able to create vicious thunderstorms, rain, hail and even snow-storms.
I shall leave what kind of elemental ability your character acquires up to you, but I shall be there to supply ideas, if required. As I said; they don't neccessarily have to suit the character they become a part of.
If there are any further questions; please don't hesitate to ask me. And I shall add or include any thing that may spring to mind later on. Presently, it's 2 am, and I have work in the morning... >.>

Name: Sean "Razor" Dane Michaelis
Incarnate Name: Wrath
Age: 24
Height: 6 foot, 2 inches.
Weight: 90 kilos.
Eye Color: Fiery red, extending outwards to a bright orange to the outer rim of his iris.
Hair Color: Brunette, with slight shimmers of red.
Hair Length: Short
General Appearance: Muscular with broad shoulders, stout facial expressions. Strong and high cheekbones. Scarring on his chest, right arm, left hip and face.
Tattoos: Bears a tribal tattoo over the right side of his back, all over his right arm and a matching tribal tattoo on his left forearm.
Piercings: One small piercing in his left ear.
Jewellery: Dog tags. A single iron bracer on his left forearm.
Profession: Martial Arts Instructor.
History: As a child, Sean was at the centre of many a fight in the schoolyard, or otherwise. More often than not, he would come out victorious, even against innumerable odds; which gave him a kind of esteem, amongst his peers. The trouble though, was that his inexplicable knack for fighting, earned him more fights than he deserved. This henceforth made him highly aggressive and volatile, as he saw everyone a potential threat. Building up all that rage, was probably what caused his incarnation, or perhaps it was his incarnation that caused his violent youth. Regardless, he quickly found that he was adept at combat, and found tutors and masters in a wide variety of arts. Any fighting style in television, movies, anywhere; if he saw it, he mimicked it. Soon after, he'd train under a head of style, and become a master himself. Ninjutsu was the only find a master for, as it was highly exempt for many people.
He finds a sadistic pleasure in brutalising any who oppose him in combat, and often beats his enemies to the utmost physical limitations of pain, when he's been given sufficient motivation; ie, has been wounded, or has had a mental collapse of will.
As a member of the Incarnate Task Force, he continues to study under new styles, including Ninjutsu and Hapkido, as well as maintains a distance from most of the Incarnates, with the exceptions of Hope and Lust. As those two are his first friends in a very long time. Until much later, his relationships outside those two, are virtually non-existant.
