Garret listened intently to Anna’s words, taking them at face value. Why would someone like Raphael tell one of his creations what was going on if they weren’t being given his respect? While it made sense to him, Garret was sure there was more to it than just that. As he walked into the room that Anna had led Allire and him into, he stepped to the window and took in the view. ”I’m beginning to like Raphael; he has a penchant for fantastic scenery,” he smiled, placing his forehead to the glass and closing his eyes as he listened to the distant rumble of civilization to anchor himself over the days events. Hearing Anna’s offer for refreshments, Garret pushed himself away from the glass and sat down in one of the most comfortable chairs he’d ever sat in.
”What time is it? Mid-day? Is that all? Just a water then, please. With ice, if you don’t mind. And never mind that; I didn’t think today was going to be easy, anyway, so you’ll need to forgive us for that,” he supplied, glancing at Allire with a look that said ’yes, you too’. Garret gently set his head against the back of his seat and dangled his arms over the sides, letting his mind wander through his recollection of the day.
Looking over at Allire for a quick second, then over to Anna, he sat forward with a piercing gaze as he gave her a heated once over. Tired and somewhat mentally exhausted, his physical energy was through the roof. With some dark, forbidden part of his mind daring himself to do something, Garret blinked once…twice…three times very slowly to try and force his thoughts into a normal, clean state; where vamps were hated and people were the way to go.
Needless to say, it didn’t really work. Groaning for reasons surely known only to him, he slumped back and glared at the ceiling.
