Sam finally found the entrance to the fort, or rather, the exit. There were scorch marks all over the courtyard, with rubble strewn all over the cobblestone. No sign of Fix though.
The atmosphere fell eerily quiet with all the explosions no longer detonating. They stood in the courtyard, the gate about fifty meters away, but something felt wrong, this seemed too easy now. Sam had not heard a sound from Lanius either.

Alario was edgy at best in the current situation. He was always looking over his shoulder, and had the sneaky feeling the group was being watched. The eerie quiet that had settled over the area was unsettling, and Alario could have sworn he kept seeing movement out of the corner of his eye. Taking his rifle out, he kept an eye out, although careful not to lose sight of the objective at hand.
