OPEN FOR PROFILES - The Kroyan Chronicles Information and Profiles11:23pm, 10th March 7A 112 City of Forik The Blue Rose Tavern Samael put up his feet, and leaned back in one the tavern's seating booths. The snow crippled winds from outside crept in through the floor boards and from under the doors. The fire, on the other side of the room, offered little heat. He cracked his knuckles and spread his hand flat on the table, his hands glowed red and suddenly a small fire appeared on the table. A small wave of warmth washed over him. Oi! shouted the bartender. Put that out, you freak! Sam gave him a smirk and put the fire out. Dammit, it was so cold. Sam was from the western island of Insulim, where the average temperature was 35 degrees Celsius. Here in the north it was more like five. Sam tightened his trench coat and looked around. There were not many people here this time of night. He was though. Samael looked at his target, a man named Krovar. What kind of name was Krovar? Sounds like a tool Sam thought. Krovar owed some money to some pissed off people, and Sam was here to collect.

Lua was there too. She was sitting in her own secluded corner, concealed beneath her hood as always. Her staff leaned against the wall nearby, its crystal top refracting small points of light and making them dance upon the wall behind her. Her legs were crossed delicately, her long purple boots with their silver swirls stretching out from beneath the wooden table at which she sat. She wasn't particularly interested in anything beyond her drink, which was simply a glass of water. She'd eaten already, her plate with a few remaining bits of salad sat in front of her. She glanced up slightly when she heard the bartender bark angrily at someone, and though her silver eyes caught sight of the perpetrator ever so briefly, she returned them to her crystaline glass, finding no real reason to be interested in whatever it was he was doing to get himself in trouble.

Sam continued to watch Krovar, trying to not look suspicious. Krovar was at the bar, between two of his friends. He needed to wait just a little longer.
He took this time to admire this tavern he had found himself in. Was more of a dive. Fishermen were the only regulars here, hell, fishermen made up most of the population of Forik. They were a loud lot, filthy, disgustingly mannered and not to mention horny. Luckily it was the fishing season and most of the crews were far out west, in the Teryn seas.
The wood was rotten and the drinks were expensive, and nothing was good to eat, in Sam's standards at least. Something did catch his eye however, someone would be more accurate to say. A few tables in front of him, in an inconspicuous corner was a strange looking woman. She was quite attractive, but than again it was rather hard for Sam to figure that, considering her face was more or less covered. But nice to look at none the less, especially considering the elegant clothing she was adorned with. He wondered what could possibly bring such a person to a place such as a fisherman's dive.

For Lua this little dive was just yet another mortal built prison that kept her soul bound to the Mundum, rather than soaring in the Aether, nearer to Aurora. One trashy pub was as meaningless to her as the next, and no sheltered living space held any more comfort for her than sleeping under the stars. So whenever she did choose to stay in doors, she chose whatever was the cheapest, so that she might spend her money on other more important things. She lifted her glass to a set of perfectly shaped lips painted deep purple and sipped, taking the time to enjoy the coolness of the water. It was as she lifted her head however, that she noticed she was being watched. A hood-covered head was turned her way, and though she couldn't spy the face within its folds, the tingle in her spine made it clear their eyes were on her. With a disinterested huff she lowered her glass, keeping her eyes locked on them so that they would know she could see them watching.

Sam noticed that she had noticed. He folded his arms and smirked he then lifted his head so that she could see his eyes for just a moment, then he pretended like nothing had happened and stole a glance over at the bar towards his good friend.
Krovar was arguing with one of his companions over the size of a fish he once caught, apparently his friend didn't agree. His friend, apparently drunk staggered away from the bar, giving Sam a dirty look as he did. As he opened the door, a rush of frozen air bawled it's way in. 'Dammit, Nexia take him!' Sam was just starting to warm up.
(I'll wait for kayle to post before anythivg interesting happens there.)

Alario approached the local here in the winterland wastes, and frowned reproachfully at the sight of a drunken man stumbling out the door, drink in hand. A quick visual check told Alario that this man wasn't armed, and could actually be a potential, if insignificant, threat if he was sober. However, he wasn't at the moment, and so Alario watched him stagger into the frost with curious amusement. After the drunkard disappeared into the darkness, he continued his way into the tavern, making sure not to open the door too much. He was certain that the patrons and owners were probably trying to keep warm, and didn't want to upset them unnecessarily.
After shutting the door firmly closed, Alario scanned the room for any potential trouble makers, and found three. One, the drunk guy who'd just finished his glorious story of the biggest catch ever; second, the woman in purples and silvers with the staff. She was definitely a mage of some sort, as no one else has reason to dress like that and own a staff that glows on its own accord. And finally the hooded man on the opposite side to the mage. Noticing the skin colour, Alario identified the man as a fellow Insulian. Looking away from him, Alario took a seat in an inconspicuous spot and brushed off any snow that was left on the jacket he'd bought on his way to this wretched place. Cursed snow...

Lua shifted slightly in her seat, making an exaggerated point to look AWAY from the strange hooded man when he looked at her. So instead she directed her attention to the newcomer who'd just entered the bar, a rough looking sort of a man, but otherwise unremarkable. Then again, no one was particularly remarkable in Lua's eyes. With a sigh of what could only be boredom, she lifted her glass and contented herself with drinking her water once more.

Sam tensed his cheeks as the newest patron walked in, not just because he let more cold air in, but it was another witness that could try and play hero. 'Screw it'
Sam got up, very casually, smoothed out his clothes, and walked over as if he was getting a drink. He grabbed Krovar by the back of his shirt collar and pulled him backwards off the chair. Krovar landed with a massive thud!
"What makes you think your special?" Sam shouted. Krovar's eyes were widened. "What are you talking about, it was a good fi-" Sam slapped him before he could finish his blatantly oblivious statement. "The money you owe him, you moron!" Sam's hand that was around Krovar's fat neck began to spark slightly. "I've been following you for days, and I have run out of patience. The five-hundred or your head. Those are my orders."

Alario's attention was instantly grabbed by the sudden movement and yelling over at the bar. He observed the attacker with interest. He could relate to this man; it seemed like he was a gun for hire as well, paid to track down certain...undesirables in ones life. This one owed money, and Aario knew from experience that this man was either doomed to be broke, or doomed to be broken. He put his feet up onto the table and folded his arms behind his head, watching the events unfold.

Lua's attention crossed immediately to the bar however - she cared nothing for violence, especially over something as menial as money. Earthly finances were boons on reality, the strongest link in the chains that bound the souls of mortals to the Mundum. She angled her body ever-so-slightly towards the scuffle, so that she might act if things got too out of hand.

"Hey! You! You h-" The bartender tried to butt in. Sam kept his hand over the Krovar's neck while pulling out his pistol. "Your a by-stander, so for now your safe. The moment you concern yourself with this scum's problems, your in my way, and so you will die. Especially after your comment earlier." The bartender instantly shut up, and backed away. Sam did a kind of diagonal nod.
"Now, the money," Sam said firmly, as he amplified the electricity coming from his hand, managing to keep it from entering Krovar's body. 'Now"
Krovar handed him a card, "Here, it's all on that."
Sam smiled. "Good for you, now go away," as Krovar got up and pretty much sprinted out of the bar, Samael went back to his booth, head down.

Alario was incredibly impressed with the mercenaries abilities and capability to control a situation. Then again, having said that, he shouldn't be surprised; he was watching an Insularian perform what he's best at.
In the silence that followed the scuffle, Alario clapped slowly, applauding his fellow countryman.
